That's so, so awful. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Was that everyone in your generation or just your family? Also, learning about those who influenced us can often help us learn more about ourselves.
It was… everyone in town who didn’t accept it.
We were taught from a young age to never question our elders.
Doing so led to punishment.
