Ninjago Headcanon: The Emperor and Empress specifically adopted Harumi because she looked the most like them.

I have a headcanon that the Emperor and Empress of Ninjago didn’t fully adopt Harumi out of love. Rather with the purpose of gaining an heir to the throne, and one that at least resembled them.

According to the “Garmadon Rulez” book. Which is Harumi’s journal/diary. We get to see an in depth look into her life.

In this journal entry she has a news article about her adoptions, and I find the choice of words the Emperor and Empress to be very interesting.

In the article the Emperor said that he always wanted an “heir”, not a “child”.

He also said that he wanted what was “best for her”, which was putting her into training to be princess that Ninjago could proudly represent.

Which is an odd thing to say about a traumatized child that they just adopted.

Not “she feels safe” Or “she’s safe now”? None of it was about her well being, rather than something that they wanter out of her. An heir.

Harumi also wrote about how they were pretending to do good deeds, and that they only want her to do as they please. Implying the at they aren’t that affectionate towards her.

The only person in the palace who seems to care about her and is more aware of her issues is Hutchins.

The whole Great Devour incident just seems like the perfect opportunity to adopt a kid who resembles them to inherit the throne. Which just happens to be Harumi.

Honestly, it’s an old 2018 unfinished concept I had about an undertale au called Under_Survival, a Chara-centric story where instead of Chara dying via golden flowers, they made a deal with an old god or outside force and offered their soul to it in exchange for the monsters’ freedom. What they didn’t took in account for was the fact that it would cost their sanity.

I have even have an old design about it

Ignore the half soul thing my dumb 2018 brain has made

I wanted to explain even further about it but I’m just gonna stop it right there. It’s never really finished in the first place. 🤷‍♀️

Didn’t get to post this almost months ago so…

Her name is Fēi Mèngyáo, a 32 year old hairstylist and tattoo artist working at a small salon and is living in a small apartment somewhere in the big city. She’s best friends with a demon and is basically tired 24/7 of any magical shenanigans happening around the city.

The demon oc belongs to a friend of mine.

(Made this in Oct 12, 2023^)

She’s basically used to do crimes but decided to quit to pursue a job but still has ties with other gang members or thugs.

Also not sure if this was supposed to be a legend of louxiaohei oc or a monkie kid oc so I decided to just stick it as an original 🤷‍♀️

Ohhh my lord, I can finally post now 💀

Anyway, I made him months ago but decided that I draw this during my freehand class but I don’t have a name for him yet so I gave him a title ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’.

Gonna base his backstory off of that kids’ story as my building block and then slowly spin it into an original story.

(Soooo we see a vision of an all inked up MK, then we see the stone cracking, then we see a shot of the curse from 4x02, and THEN MK turns Tang Sanzang's golden power blue, a color associated with both LBD and the underworld in general. HM.)

(There's no hair flip so it's not MK, so it would make me think that this is an ink version of SWK next to the stone. It's weird so I'm including it!)
