Humans never change; my favorite examples
Graffiti uncovered from Pompeii that literally just says “I fucked a girl here” (in so many words)
The fact that the name “Yucatan” possibly translates as “I don’t know what you’re saying” because the Natives had no clue what Spanish was
A ruling Spaniard once asked an ancient MezoAmerican to write something in his native language. It took hundreds of years to decipher it after the language was all but lost, but when we finally read it, it just said “I don’t want to do this”
That graffiti in the Hagia Sophia that says “Halfdan wrote this”
This Ancient Mosaic, meaning “Be cheerful, live your life”

This adorable picture of a Victorian couple trying not to laugh while getting their photographs taken:

Everything about Ea-nasir
Mesopotamian Break-Up Letter that says “News has reached me via the Upper Euphrates that you were visiting with my childhood friend Nisaba. I am devastated by this betrayal, as you are one of my favorite concubines. You have until the end of the month to pick up your flax shawls and sandals or else I will donate them to the temple of the moon god.”
Evidence in Prehistoric Civilizations of tribes caring for the Disabled. One story shows a young disabled woman who died of a tooth infection because her family fed her too many dates, spoiling her to make her feel better. Here's a better video on the subject
The first recorded Meme, used in WW2, Kilroy was Here. People would graffiti this so much that the Nazi's wondered if Kilroy was some kind of famous spy

And probably more that I can't think of right now :)
Feel free to add your own

Rating: Cute
This mother rat is “protecting” her babies by making sure they stay close to her. She’s doing her best even if she is struggling a bit!

I’m playing a relatively new game and it’s still a little buggy so whenever there’s a glitch or something the devs want you to email them about it. So my game crashed and deleted my save file and when I sent the devs an email about it I got this back:

Kids shouldn’t be on the internet.
“But Jay, you were on the internet when you were a kid!”
Shut up!
The internet was a WAY different place back then. It was quiet, mysterious, and only had a few places you could go and a few Furcadias you could find.
The internet used to be like an unexplored fantasy world you could embark into, finding little treasures here and there.
If you wanted cheat codes for your video game you had to buy a cheat code book from the store, or, if you were in the know, could go to HappyPuppy because someone told you about it.
You had these silent communities on NeoPets and annoying communities on Gaia and hives of scum and villainy like the chans and early MMOs
The internet has changed.
Social Media is everywhere, Twitter is mentioned on news media outlets every ten minutes, there’s billboards for OnlyFans pages, the media fearmongers by showing us people being banned or arrested or fired from their jobs over tweets they made, blogs that used to be primarily private or small communities like MySpace are now these vast “Get big numbers and ratios” sites like Tumblr and Twitter.
Children are constantly being exploited, groomed, kidnapped, pedo’d, because of doxxing and catfishing and even harmless apps like Pokemon Go are being used to lure children into alleyways so the companies keep having to remove features to protect children.
Adults are constantly suffering because of children on the internet, from something as “Get over it” as a child being on their team in Fortnite to something as extreme as porn being removed from Tumblr and destroying thousands of adult artist careers.
The exploitation of children carries over to their parents as well, parents getting in trouble for their kids searching for naked pictures of the girl they think is cute on a TV show, parents going bankrupt from their kids buying microtransactions for Candy Crush because the game (and many other like it) is designed to milk the wallets of parents who let their kids play it.
Children should not be allowed on the internet. I would immediately vote yes on a law that makes a license required to use the internet and that license is earned through age verification in a social security office where your social security card or driver’s license is then updated to have a code that grants you access to the internet.
“But what stops parents from letting their kids on their computer?”
Being a good parent stops that. Also, make the parent accountable for breaking the law in that case, make that an offense so severe that their child could be taken away.
Letting your kid go on the internet should be considered child endangerment.
Kids should be riding bikes and playing couch co-op video games with their friends IRL, not going on Call of Duty and getting asked if they masturbate by grown men.
