Okay, so y'all know the phenomenon where American media companies say they can't produce queer stories because they'll just get censored in foreign markets? It's transparent as hell, because the dominant culture of the United States is still violently queerphobic, and in many cases, state queerphobia in other countries is the direct result of Christian imperialism. The US is not the enlightened gay haven in a world of evil homophobic foreigners, and trying to pretend that American media can't be too gay because it'll be censored overseas is asinine. We all know that, right?

Anyway, today I learned that there is an episode of the Australian cartoon Bluey that has been censored in the United States because it shows the dad character pretending to be pregnant and have a baby as part of a game of pretend. Disney refuses to air it on the Disney Channel or on Disney+. It has been made available on YouTube by the Australian rights holders.

So let's quit fucking pretending that Disney is actually scared of foreign censors, hm? The queerphobic censorship is coming from inside the House of Mouse, and it always has been.

But if you haven't specifically talked to any attorneys, it's probably at least worth asking around. Not all firms focus on only high-value cases, some focus on having a high-quantity of lower-value cases.

If it's you, you should really, really talk to a medical malpractice attorney. If an attorney agrees to take your case, you don't have to pay anything. The attorney's fees & stuff just come out of any winnings you get.

I know lawsuits can be intimidating, but that's almost certainly the only way you're ever going to get your records. A court can actually force them to turn it over by threatening them with fines and other nasty stuff.

Find a lawyer who does medical malpractice to file your lawsuit before the statute of limitations runs out. Having your medical records beforehand does not matter. Its your lawyers job to get those records. You may also want to delete your post or else open yourself up to legal trouble.

Trans women are the primary targets of transmisogyny, but not the only targets. I know this because as an agender person on HRT who looks and sounds like I do, the specific types of violence I experience are almost entirely those which are typically reserved for trans women. I would be a fool not to recognize that. I hate the TMA/TME dichotomy because I believe it fails intersex, agender and nonbinary people in multiple ways, but if you said I were TMA, I would not argue against you.

^ in Texas they severely limited the amount of money you can even sue a doctor for, resulting in most lawyers refusing to take a case on contingency (or at all) because it probably won't pay them well.

My FFS surgeon, Sarah Saxon in Austin, Texas, who is not legally allowed to block patients' phone numbers, blocked my phone number because I had post-surgical complications as a result of her giving me a surgery I didn't even consent to in the first place.

I've already reported her to the Texas state medical board & they basically told me to go fuck myself so the next best thing is to tell as many trans people as possible what she did to me.
