As Spamano Leader, from June 25th to July 1st I’ll be hosting a Romano week, just as @hetaliafandomhub has been doing with characters!

This will be to lead up to my @spamanoweek !! First Romano week, then Spain week. So check out our prompts / how to participate!

Romerica week day 4 meet the family

@romerica-week so I almost did nothing today but I’ll push through.

Here’s a short snippit on how meeting each family goes. Before you read further, I am on mobile and cant do the cut off thing so I’m going to tag some of the trigger warnings and warn you up here. TRIGGERS: HOMOPHOBIA, BEING DISOWNED BY YOUR FAMILY, BEING KICKED OUT, ABUSE

Lovino’s family. Lovino has the bigger family of the two and friends he considers family too so it was nerve racking. First off he had to meet Antonio the father figure (his legal guardian/more like a bother figure) and that was stressful enough. Then Andrés (portugal) the “uncle figure” and deal with his and Antonio’s brotherly bickering. Meeting Feliciano wasn’t bad considering he already knew Feli. Romio (Seborga) was… Interesting. He hit on Alfred jokingly and that made a nervous Alfred even more uncomfortable. Then he met Nonno Romulus (Rome) and was teased abt boning Lovino. Alfred looked like he wanted death in those moments. Not to mention the fact that Lurleen (Belgium), Elliot (Luxembourg), and Abel (Netherlands) showed up too. Lurleen wasn’t that bad considering she’s the mom friend™ and immediately accepted Alfred. Elliot was like meeting Draco but oh well poor Alfred. And Abel was just very quiey the whole time and muttered to himself. That meeting was a disaster when it came to first impressions but over time Alfred got used to it and was accepted in as one of them, and giving Alfred the satisfaction of having a fuller family instead of awkward christmases that consisted of Alfred and Matthew awkwardly exchanging gifts. Today, Alfred is now proud to be apart of this family. They also took in Matt and it gives Alfred that wholesome feeling he’s been longing for.

Alfred’s family. First off Lovino met Matthew and it went pretty well for him. Alfred’s adoptive parents though disowned him when he came out as pansexual at 16 so they didn’t really have many family members to meet. Before they kicked Alfred out they were abusive towards him and thought that’d make him “straight” and that he’d “stop believing he was this made up sexuality”. Alfred however moved in with Arthur and Francis after he got kicked out and considers them his family considering all but Matt had disowned him. Arthur was real harsh on Lovino and made him cry when they met. Francis however just kinda annoyed Lovino but out of the two he preffers dealing with Francis. In the end this was the harder family to introduce. Lovino understands why Alfred feels so lonley even more so after meeting the only people he can call “family”. Alfred’s just glad Matt approves of Lovino. Lovino’s somewhat relieved by the fact his family took in Alfred and Matt but still feels bad considering it took this long for Alfred to find a family that loves him for who he is.

Anyway thats a brief description of their families and how meeting them went.

Day 1: Headcanon

@romerica-week Omg I realized its the end of romerica week and I haven’t drawn anything!!. I’m using my school’s computer right now since my is sorta broken XD. Anyway I imagine that Romano likes to warm himself up on America. This also involves putting his cold hands and feet on America’s warm neck and stuff :x

Where Alfred is a self-styled van hellsing hero who manages monsters and demons before they turn mean and Romano is a very weak vampire who craves warm cuddles and tomatoes (and Al, but he thinks it’s for Al’s blood which both upsets and confuses him!!)

Romerica week day 5. A e s t h e t i c s @romerica-week I MADE ACTUAL GOOD AESTHETICS. So the first two pictures are solos of Alfred and Lovino by themselves. Then the 3rd pic is supposed to represent their love and their relationship and how their love changed their worlds and how they view the universe. I improved my aethetics earlier this week but I held off until today. Also its now time yall can reblog my 1st post that was some aesthetic quality stuff kinda. I made some aesthetic romerica. @romerica-week I couldn’t wait much longer to hold in this aesthetic themed romerica piece. Ik ik its early bUT A E S T H E T I C S d o n t w a i t f o r a n y o n e . all joking aside i worked v hard on this. Alfred’s shirt says roses are red, violets are blue, my only a e s t h e t i c is you. Lovino’s reads “it’s not a drop it’s a keyboard solo”. These aesthetics were imsoueed by @frankjavcee I also posted these on my insta which is @aph_american_sinning

Day 4 - Meet the Family

Honestly this should be longer but I just don’t have the time or energy to expand on it right now. Once again set in my girlfriends au which is slowly entering the same universe as another fic of mine. Anyways here’s day 4 of @romerica-week

“I know that you’ve already met my side of the family but when am I going to meet yours?”

Lovina didn’t want to sound needy but she honestly wanted to get to know Amy’s family.

Amy looked at her seriously. “You know after the disaster we had with your grandfather, are you sure you want to meet my family. My mother’s probably going to be hella judgmental, though if we’re lucky her twin brother will be there and she’ll be too busy nagging him about his French husband. The rest of the family I don’t even want to think about yet.”

“I still want to do this. At the rate we’re going we’ll be married eventually and I want to meet my future-in-laws before we get engaged.”

“Okay you win Lovi, but if this goes to hell in a handbasket I’m going to tell you I told you so.”

Lovina felt more nervous than she had anticipated. Amy was taking Lovina to meet her family today and apparently most of her uncle’s would be there as would her twin sister and her twin sister’s boyfriend and even her grandmother, the matriarch of Amy’s family, would be there.

“Lovi, you know you don’t have to do this today if you don’t want to.”

Lovina shook her head. “No I have to do this now or else I’ll keep putting it off. Now please knock on the door.”

Amy looked like she wanted to say something but she didn’t. Instead she knocked on the door to her childhood home which was opened by an almost clone of Amy.

“Amy! You made it.” The girl turned towards Lovina. “Oh you must be Lovina. I’m Maddie, Amy’s twin, it’s so good to finally meet you. Everyone’s looking forward to meeting you.”

Lovina just nodded in agreement. It was time to see just how much everyone wanted to meet her.
