As-Samad: Something that is whole and flawless in itself. Something that does not change. When it is used for Allah it means, that He is eternal, permanent, He has no fault, He is perfect and complete in His being and His attributes. He always overcomes and overpowers us. He is never overpowered. There is no leader above Him. There is no one like Him. He is the King, and leader, and He has the power to grant us what we ask for. No one else, except Him, has this authority. To whom should we go when adversity hits us? The people, who themselves rely upon others for basic needs or our Rabb, who has the power to bring impossible to possible. His name As-Samad teaches us that we all depend on Him, and He depends on no one. We all need Him, and He needs no one. He has no need, yet He fulfills all of our needs. He is the owner of everything on the earth and the Sky. So if we ask for something, would it be impossible for Him to give us? No! As-Samad is mentioned in Surah Al Ikhlas, and as per a hadith, a dua that is made after the recitation of Surah Al Ikhlas is accepted as we ask from the one who has the power to grant it and we declare that there is no one like Him, nor there will be. . . . . . #islamicquotes #quran #quranquotes #art #photography #illustrationartists @nemrah_ahmad #deenoverdunya #Allah

Don’t allow family members to trample over your wife. Remember, she gave up everything to be with you. She’s not an unpaid housekeeper to be used at their whim and fancy. Be fearful of her supplication to the Almighty. He’s watching and will surely come to her rescue eventually!

Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
التَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ
The one who completely repented of sin is like one who has not sinned at all.

عذاب
I enrolled in Nemrah Ahmad’s tadabbur lessons on Surah Ibrahim. During my 3rd lesson today I learned a word that we use repeatedly in any usual situation without realizing the deep meaning behind it.
What exactly is عذاب? It comes from the root word ع ذ ب which means “the sweetness in something”, but we do not use it for sweetness, we use it for “something from which the sweetness has been removed.” The other meaning is to refuse to give sweet water to someone. It is also used for extreme thirst, the kind of thirst for water that makes you incapable of eating. For example, you have a table full of food in front of you but you cannot eat anything because of extreme thirst. All you wish for is water and someone restricts you from drinking. This is the actual Azaab. This is called giving someone Azaab.
The message this word conveys is that azaab removes the sweetness from one’s life. Azaab is that one important factor or ingredient in our lives that if removed, will take away all the pleasure from our life with it even if our table(life) is filled with delicious food(multiple pleasures).
We were supposed to live our life as per Allah’s command, But we forgot Him. We did everything He stopped us from, we didn’t obey Him, we acted ungrateful despite all the blessings, so what happened? We lost the sweetness in our life. Even when our table was filled with food, we kept running after one thing, and that snatched away all the pleasure from our life which we would have gotten easily if only we had listened to HIM.

What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [ O man], is from yourself. And we have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as witness.
The fundamental principle I have learned from this verse is that whatever happens, happens from the will of Allah but sometimes we ourselves are the cause of that bad thing that has happened to us. So whenever in life there is a difficulty, I ask myself, “Have I committed any sin?” “Could this be a consequence of something that I have done?” Once I realize, once Allah shows me that I did forget HIM and as a consequence, I feel lost, disoriented, and wounded. I beg for HIS forgiveness. And whenever I do so, I witness flowers blooming out of those same wounds.

I've attended many live lectures of Ustaza Farhat Hashmi. But this one meeting, not a meeting, kind of stalking 😂 is engraved on my heart. It was when she came to Dubai for a lecture. I. HAD. TO ATTEND. There was no chance in heaven I would've missed it. So me and a dearest (read:dumb) friend decided to go and attend. After the lecture, that "dearest" friend said: Mjhe ustaza se bat krni hai." Now if you know me, you'd be well aware of my social anxiety. It was a no-no situation for me. Trying to talk to Ustaza? TALK? TO? USTAZA? No no no. But that friend was adamant so I had no other option than to follow her.
Now there we were, outside the restroom waiting for ustaza to come out (please dont judge me, she made me do it). Ustaza came out after doing wuzu and headed straight to prayer area for Asr. We waited outside like the dum dums we were :p when she came out she was accompanied by three other colleagues. Ahh.. I just wanted to run away. But that dumn being dumb, held my hand and started following her. As we came close to her she said: Assalamo Alikum Ustaza. Kaisi hain ap?
Ustaza: (who was heading out of the auditorium for another venue) Alhamdu lillah.
Friend: Ustaza mjhe sirf ek bat poochni hai.
Ustaza: Gee gee (we were walking towards the exit door while all this was happening)
Friend: Ustaza, main gunah chorti hun, par phir krne lg jati hu. Main kya kru?
Ustaza: Ap yeh dua parha krain
Yahan pohanchne tk unki car aa gai thi so we just said Allah hafiz and ran away :p (idk why)
I was reading this dua today, which has been a habit since a long time now and it reminded me of that incident🌼 and I thought why did ustaza choose this dua? How does this stop one from sinning?
So I read it again, trying to understand each word.
یَا حَیُّ یَا قَیُّوْمُ:
one of the most powerful names of Allah.
یَا حَیُّ  :
Ever living, there's no end to Him. He was there when no one else was, He will be there when no one else will be.
یَا قَیُّوْمُ:
Self sustaining, and sustains everything on earth, keeps everything alive, carry it, assists it, supports it, helps everything in staying alive and running. He has the power no one can possess.
بِرَحْمَتِکَ اَسْتَغِیْثُ  :
by your mercy I seek assistance
By His Rahm, what is Rahm, Rahm also means a mothers womb. Like the baby is taken care of inside the womb. That is exactly how we are taken care of. That kind of Rahm.
اَصْلِحْ شَاْنِیْ کُلَّہٗ:
rectify for me all my affairs (of course only He can do this, He is the Ever living, the sustainer of everyyyyything, the merciful)
وَلاَ تَکِلْنِیْ نَفْسِیْ طَرْفَۃَ عَیْنٍ :
and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.
Means, the world and its temptations are way too strong for me. I cannot control my nafs all by myself. I need guidance every waking moment so do not leave me even for the blink of an eye. Guide my every step, my every movement, keep an eye on me.
Because only through His guidance we can be saved.
So so so beautiful duaa💕
And Ustaad Nouman once said: If there's one dua thats heard is dua of guidance. Ask Allah to guide you and you wont be deprived.
I'm so glad that dum dum pushed me out of my comfort zone that day 😅💖

Allah swt at a place in Quran commanded His servants: "Hold fast all of you "together" to the rope of Allah and be not divided among yourselves"
Though I knew the meaning, the tafsir of this ayah I quite didnt understand the Hikmat hidden in it until I desolated from the company of people of Quran.
The worldly temptations begin dragging me towards my destruction. I wanted to go back. To them. To Quran. But, it seemed so heavier. Like climbing a mountain without any rope. I was too weary to carry myself up all alone.
When my Quran teachers found out I started getting their calls, messages, voice notes inquiring about my state. They didnt ask me to pull myself together instead helped me. Helped me carry the burden that was weighing me down and down... One of my teachers exact words were: Tell me the next problem, I'll help you find the solution and we'll fight together". And thats when I realized the Hikmat of this ayah. Thats when I truly understood why it is important to have a good company, the company of the righteous people. Why we should hold the rope of Allah (Quran) together. Because Shaytan has promised Allah he'll attack us from every where and we need an army to protect ourselves. Those people of Taqwa, are my army. We cant fight alone. Its a battle we'll win only with the right people around us.
If it weren't for them, I'd have left Quran. But Alhamdu lillah... I attended my class after a month today and they welcomed me back like I had never left❣

— Nur-e cheshm-e man Farsi, literally, “the light of my eyes”. Used to show how one person is the life of someone’s being.
