Chapter 4
Hello, and we’re back with another chapter. I have no warning for this chapter only that if you don’t like crying, don’t read it. Nothing bad happens, except it is on the shorter side…
Tumblr media
Tears welling in his eyes, Oliver gently place his forehead against the back of his bedroom door. The tears slowly started running down his cheeks as he turned himself around, back hitting the door with a light thud. He placed his hands over his face, throwing his head back with another thud.
He slowly began to slide down the back of his door, his bottom eventually meeting the ground, knees coming up to his chest, with his back still against it.
He stayed like that, the sobs only becoming more abundant as time went on; Until his long deserved cry came to a sudden halt when he heard yells coming from a certain person trying to get his sons attention.
"DINNER'S READY!" came James' booming voice from the kitchen downstairs.
Oliver quickly tried to collect himself, wiping his tears on the sleeve of his mother's lavender sweatshirt. He carefully pulled the hood over his head as he slowly began to open his bedroom door before venturing downstairs for what some people considered dinner. Sitting down at the dinner table, paying no attention to his dad, Oliver began to eat his so-called meatloaf.
The awkward silence in the room was broken by several apologies from Oliver, which only made his eves tear up again. His dad could hear the abundant number of sobs that left his son but said nothing about it. The rest of dinner consisted of mostly the same. Oliver and his dad didn't talk much, only saying a few words here and there.
After finishing what might have been the most awkward dinner of his life, Oliver went back upstairs to his room, attempting to get some sleep before the wretched day at school he'd have to live through the following day.

Chapter 3
Chapter 3 baby! Anyway, the worst thing that happens in this chapter is Oliver snaps. Nothing bad happens. But it is kinda awkward…
Tumblr media
After he said his goodbyes and thank you to Mrs. Cambel, the black hared boy nervously ventured out of the school building over to where his dad's Mustang sat.
Hand shaking, he slowly opened the car door, throwing himself in the passenger seat. After tossing his backpack in the back of the car, Oliver turned toward the passenger seat window, not wanting to deal with his dad's commentary.
He eyed his reflection longingly, wishing he could be anywhere but where he was. Oliver had always wished he could be as simple as a car window reflection, but he had never wanted it as much as he did when he sat in his dad's car.
James, Oliver's dad, sat in the driver's seat of the car with a puzzled expression. He had seen
Oliver do many different things, some depressed, some not, but he had never seen his son look as sad as he did right now.
James, having had enough of Oliver's depression, then broke the awkward silence that had fallen over the two.
"So, what happened this time?" He asked disappointedly, turning toward the road as he began to drive away.
"Nothing..." Oliver mumbled under his breath, not feeling up to an explanation.
"Theres no sense in lying. So just tell me what really happened" His dad began to say.
"I had a bad day, OK? Now just leave me alone!" Oliver replied, voice trembling, as he began to snap at his father.
His dad, completely shocked at his son's reaction, brought his full attention back to the road. An unsettling silence fell over them as they drove down 'Ash Creek Avenue'.
Oliver, his full attention back on the world outside his window, began to think, which was something he did quite a lot. Living with just his dad who didn't talk to him very often left a lot of time for Oliver to just think.
I wish I was as free as those birds. I could go wherever I wanted, do whatever I wanted, and no one would judge me... Oliver thought.
'Is that a spider-*
Interrupting his sons thought, Oliver's dad began to say: "We're having meatloaf for dinner" he said, voice lower than it normally was, which was something that Oliver noticed, but ultimately decided not to say anything about.
The next 30 minutes of the car ride back to the house was awkward and silent. No one dared
speak a word, scared for the other's reaction.
Oliver always wanted to talk to his dad but never knew how. However, every time Oliver tried, something would go wrong, or his dad would make a comment about something he thought Oliver was doing wrong. For Oliver to avoid this, he only talked to his dad If he really needed to, or his dad initiated the conversation.
Once arriving at their house, Oliver got out of the car and quickly unlocked the door using his own house key. As soon as he got inside, he put his backpack down by the door, running upstairs before he could sav another word. When he reached his room, he rapidly opened the door, slamming it with a loud bang that made the frame of the house tremble at the impact.

Chapter 2
The worst thing that happens in this chapter is someone goes to the nurse so anyone who can’t stand that, don’t read it. But anyone who doesn’t care, hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
"Oh, you're awake" Mrs. Cambel, the nurse, said as she placed an ice pack on Oliver's forehead.
Oliver's eye shot open. Where he was, he didn't know. He examined the room. The plain white walls decorated with posters reminded him of a place he had visited many times before. He still had no idea where he was, his pounding headache making it hard to focus.
"Dear, you're in the nurse's office. You got punched in the face and your friend Elijah brought you here. You were fading in and out of consciousness, so you may not remember coming here" she said sweetly.
The nurse's office. It all made sense now, the last thing he remembered being Bruce's fist plunging toward his face.
Bruce had sent Oliver to the nurse's office many times in the past; this being the 15th time since Oliver started high school. Bruce never cared how his victims ended up, but it always brought him joy when he got a call from the principal from sending another person to the nurse.
Mrs. Cambel walked over to the cabinet left of the table Oliver was seated on, grabbing a small bottle out of it that said 'Advil'
"Here, take these. It should help with your headache" she explained, offering the Advil to Oliver before getting a glass of water.
One of the things Oliver loved about Mrs. Cambel was that he never had to ask for things, whether it be medicine or an ice pack. She always just seemed to know what he needed.
After Oliver took the Advil Mrs. Cambel gave him, he leaned back against the wall, resting head throbbing head against it with a light thud. He closed his eyes, peacefully losing himself in the serenity of his own thoughts.
"Yeah, he's here. He's got a black eye, and he has a throbbing headache. I gave him some Advil and an ice pack, but it won't do much..." Mrs. Cambel spoke quiet, making sure to not disturb Oliver, who could've easily fallen asleep right then and there.
"Ok, I'll let him know" Mrs. Cambel said before hanging up the phone.
"Who was that?" Oliver asked curiously.
"Oh, I just got off the phone with Principal Copeland" She started walking over to where Oliver sat on the table.
"Unfortunately, because of your black eye and your headache, you won't be able to focus on school today, so I called the principal, who its going to call your dad to come get you" she explained.
Oliver's heart started racing, his palms became sweaty, his head started to ache again, and his leg started to bounce up and down out of anxiety.
'He's going to be so disappointed... Oliver thought.
Oliver hated disappointing his dad. Seeing his father's face so mad hurt Oliver in a way that nothing else even compared to. He simple couldn't think of anything worse.

His dad had always been hard on him, but when Oliver's mom passed, James became even harder on his son. The harder James pushed Oliver, the easy disappointment became. Even though Oliver hated it, disappointment was something he considered himself to be pretty good at.
After about an hour of waiting, and a visit from Elijah, the anticipation of seeing his dad so early became unbearable for Oliver. He couldn't help but think about how much trouble he was going to be in when Oliver saw his dad.
The longer he waited, the more nervous he became. Oliver kept a consistent watch outside, hoping that his dad wouldn't be there anytime soon. Except, when Oliver looked outside the window for the 4th time, his eyes were met with none other then his dad's white mustang.

Chapter 1
For anyone who doesn’t like Bullying, this is not for you. There is some serious bullying in this series. Please take note of this because I don’t want anyone to read something they are not comfortable with.
Love you guys!
Tumblr media
I almost killed myself today, but at least I did what I wanted…
3 weeks earlier...
"Please, one day, just one day... please" Oliver mumbled into his locker, closing it with a loud
rattle.
Oliver in high school, which meant that those normal middle school days he wished so dearly he could relive, would never happen again.
Most people could say that high school was the best, and most stressful, time of their lives. But for Oliver Norman, high school was the worst.
"Hey" Oliver jumped, having not expected his best friend, Elijah Becket, to be standing beside his locker.
Elijah and Oliver been friends for what both considered, their entire lives. Although the two had only been friends since 2nd grade, they had felt like they had known each other their whole lives (they also don't remember meeting each other).
Elijah was an interesting human, to say the least. Elijah was the type of person to always wear a hat, but not the right way. Elijah tended to wear his hat backwards, which started in 6th grade when he met Bruce, Asher, and Simon.
Asher and Simon were Bruce's best, and only, friends. But when they got to high school, Bruce became the leader, and as for Simon and Asher, they were left as the followers. Asher and Simon had never liked not being in the spotlight, but they knew what Bruce could do, and really didn't want to experience it for themselves.
"Mumbling to yourself again I see" Elijah said under his breath, making it almost impossible for Oliver to hear him.
"Huh?" Oliver asked, confusion flooding his features at he looked at his dirty-blonde haired best
friend.
"Oh, nothing. Anyway, did you finish your math homework? Question 7 really stumped me but-"
Oliver cut him off mid-sentence, the confusion that was displayed on his face quickly being replaced with worry.
"Oh no.." Olivier quickly started to scramble through his backpack, looking through it intently.
His face looked panicked, making Elijah more worried with every waking second as he watched Oliver.
"I forgot to do Bruce's math homework!" Oliver explained, looking at his best friend in worry.
"He's going to kill me! What do I do, I don't want to die today... ok I can't tell Bruce, but if I don't, he's more likely to punch it out of me. But if I do, he's going to kill me... but I mean I did all his other homework, but math is his worst subject! Oh, what I'm I going to-" Oliver began to pace back and forth down the crowded hallway.
The bell hadn't rung yet, and the line of students still trying to get in the building hadn't gotten any softer, which meant that the hallway was overflowing with people. Elijah knew Oliver well enough to know that Oliver was genuinely worried.
Of course, Oliver didn't tell Elijah about that fact that he told Bruce he would do his math homework (as well as every other class), because who tells their best friend about that stuff.
Oliver was kind of a push over, which was why he was a great target for Bruce. Bruce liked to bully the people he knew would be easy targets. Being taller than most in his grade was helpful when it came to what the athlete referred to as 'his greatest joy in life'. His athletic abilities were also a very helpful advantage to Bruce. He had a strong punch, one that sent a lot of kids to the nurse.
Anyone who went to Bayside High School knew Bruce's name. And if you didn't, in time, you would. People who weren't bullied by Bruce Willaims were considered lucky.
Oliver, still frantically pacing, felt a sudden hand on his shoulder, followed by the voice of his best friend.
"Hey, you're not going to die. Bruce probably isn't even going to be at school today, you know how he likes to skip..." Elijah said trying to comfort his best friend. Just then, over the swarming crowd of high school students, the two boys heard a booming voice. Both of them immediately came to the conclusion that the booming voice belonged to none other than Bruce Williams.
"Hey nerd! D'you do my homework like you promised?" Bruce asked, swiftly walking over to where Oliver and Elijah were standing by their blue lockers.
"U-u-uh..." Oliver stuttered. Two boys clambered in behind Bruce, quickly beginning to laugh at
Oliver as he looked for the words to explain that he hadn't done Bruce's math homework.
"Hey, are you going to answer me? Or are you going to stand there like the crybaby you are?"
Bruce said, vigorously tapping his foot, crossing his arms as he awaited Oliver's response.
But it never came. Instead of Oliver, Bruce was greeted with Elijah, who was crossing his arms as he stepped in front of Oliver, mimicking Bruce at the same time.
"Back off dude, he did nothing wrong. The only reason he isn't talking to you is because he didn't do your math homework-" at that Oliver winced.
"Which evidently you're not smart enough to do yourself" Elijah had a proud smirk on his face.
Oliver quickly ran to the bathroom, dropping his stuff on the floor next to the trash before breaking down in tears.
Bruce had quickly gotten annoyed with Elijah trying to be all tough and Oliver (I think it's obvious why). He gave Elijah one last glance before taking off in the direction of the bathroom, signaling Ash and Simon to follow him.
Oliver tried to use the counter to ground himself, but when Bruce aggressively kicked the door of the boy's bathroom open, Oliver jumped so high he could have touched the ceiling. Bruce quickly made his way over to the black-haired boy, grabbing him by the soft fabric of his lavender hoodie before slamming him against the stone-cold, white wall.
"So, you really think you can get away with not doing my homework, eh?" Bruce asked, spitting in Oliver's face every time he spoke.
Oliver whimpered underneath him, his face flushed a dark red. Asher and Simon laughed, causing the tall, blacked haired boy to as well.
"You know what, I think it's time you learned a little lesson, right boys?" Bruce asked smugly, craning his neck to look at Asher and Simon who stood dumb struck behind him.
They quickly looked at each other before looking back at Bruce with huge grins displayed on both their faces. They nodded swiftly, telling Bruce they thought it might help teach Oliver a lesson.
Bruce turned back around to face Oliver, face displaying a smirk, before raising his balled-up fist above his head, plunging it toward Olivers face.
