I decided to post only two pics this time. Why? Because ep 18 was something else.

I finally figured out Mike's looks. So it's kinda first fanart of him. I can add him as tag now (yappi) And it's first episode cover that isn't abstract as well. Not having a canon visual reference is frustrating. I am not used to this. How do you do that, podcast fans??

As always, if someone needs a clean scan of any ep. for some reason, tell me.

Part 2 (ep 7-9)

Part 1 (ep 1-6)

I like how sketch for ep.10 turned out. But ep.11 was the toughest one. It took too many tries before I figured how a want to draw it. The episode itself is such a rollercoaster of emotions. Hell of a ride.

On one hand I want to add a lot of little details, but on other hand, I want to capture emotional associations. Usually I choose one phase or object that gets my attention in episode.

If somebody wants to ask more about why I choose what I choose, I will gladly tell. :)

I am slowly listening to woe.begone

I decided it would be fun project to make a pencil sketch with associations for every episode. I haven't drawn on paper for years. And have no idea for how long I can keep going. But first 6 episodes here we go.

I actually managed to finish it. Not that I am too happy about the result. But I needed to get this guy out if my system. I love how he looks in first game. Especially how slow he moves, like every step is heavy. It's just feels good. Like he has a lot of on his shoulders. (But dear god, that one boss fight when you need to act quickly before boss heal himself.)

I think a lot about both games constantly. But as I see Gungrave fandom barely exists (if exists at all) Too bad. So much wasted potential.

Gungrave GORE looks so much morse than ever first game. First two game despite technical flaws have great style.

Trigun fans should at least invest dome time into anime (even though it's very different from games). Cmon!! I need Gungrave/Trigun discurse

Just wanted to show little WIP. I pray to all gods i will have energy to finish it.

So, I've finally installed PS2 emulator. Finished both original Gungrave and Gungrave Overdose in one week. They both have flaws, first game has confusing storytelling and questionable camera movement, the second one has some BS bosses, strange static cutscenes. But letting Nightow make character design and plot and lore was a power move. I sincerely enjoyed both characters and the story.

Nightow is a little devil, who made a some pararels and easter eggs between Trigun and Gungrave. And i can sleep now because of that. Like, cmon, Fangoram's Center Cerberus Head is literally the Punisher. and etc
