November 2022 #1secondeveryday down. i can’t fucking believe another year has already almost passed!

once again not actually scrapbooking but i've been having a really hard time lately and i needed to share.

today i woke up feeling like hell with really bad reflux so cancelled my plans to go to the LEGO show thing with my family and also our dinner plans. when i eventually got out of bed i went on a manic cleaning tear to avoid the SADs and reorganised like 85% of my apartment. i washed all the dishes that had accumulated over the past seven and a half days.

i staved off crying for no reason all day until i was going through the junk in my wardrobe, throwing things out, and i found an old physical photo album with photos from my childhood that i’ve seen but never really looked at in like ten years. i decided to scan them since i have a scanner now, then i can throw away the originals and as i was going through and really looking at them while i edited the scans to play nice i just kinda started balling. i’m a fucking mess lma i hope i find funding for a psych soon, i think i’m losing it.

anyway please enjoy these photographs from sometime between 1995 and 1999. I used to photograph everything on actual film but I lost so many undeveloped films moving house like 7 times between 1999 and 2009.

not what i usually post but i’m so stoked about how it turned out so i wanted to share: last night after maybe one too many wines, i decided to cut my own hair lol. but imo it actually turned out great!

I am going for a bit of an Alex Chen look, tho obvs i am not a professional hairdresser lol. but i think it looks good enough for now! i’m gonna find a real hairdresser to fix it up for me but damn it feels good to have short hair for the first time in like seven years ahaha.

Today it’s a bit of a mash-up of a ton of different strong female lead characters that I adore. It started out as just a Control entry but my colour printer is out of colour ink so I couldn’t print everything that I wanted to. So instead here’s a tribute to Jesse Faden, Nancy Botwin, Carrie Mathison, Hanna, Camina Drummer, Alex Chen, Steph Gingrich, and Miriam Maisel. I know Susie Myerson is here too but while I think she’s very funny on-screen, I don’t necessarily love her the same way I love some of these other characters. Anyway! I originally took these screenshots of Jesse as a reference to see about maybe making a cosplay of her in this, the Synchronicity outfit. It doesn’t look super complicated and I think I can maybe get a lot of the pieces 3D printed at the library, so that’s exciting.

Just a “quick” one today. Thought I would give another one of my favourite singers of all time, Carly Rae Jepsen, a shout out. I saw the first picture on her Instagram today and I just adored it so much so that’s what inspired me to do this. I’ve loved her ever since Call Me Maybe and I’ve gotten really into her first two albums (Tug of War and Kiss, respectively) and then of COURSE Emotion and Emotion Side B. Not a super big fan of her latest stuff but it’s still good. She’s such a great artist and I hope she never dies. 💖

Also bonus clip of my back yard when it was pouring with rain earlier today. I really really really really really really like this little place.

Not exactly scrapbooking, but I made a thing I am proud of and I don't know why. This was a lot of fun to make, and the airhorn sound at the end was played from a youtube video on my laptop with the sound turned up because it was the only one I could find lmao. Anyway, I hope you like this.
