H: How would I describe my style?

- Oh man. Uh, long-winded? I swear I can't write short chapters. They average around 8 - 10k words. I've tried to shorten things but it just feels wrong.

But I guess you could say, of my writing style, is that it gives the characters room to breathe. At least I think so. I try to avoid straight up rushing to the point or to the action. I let things build, let the characters think and react. Have conversations. Even in the heat of the moment, I try to really get in their heads and figure out what they're thinking.

R: Writers I consider an influence?

- There's so many.

I grew up on Tolkien and Brian Jacques (Redwall). Suzanne Collins' series, too (Gregor the Overlander).

For fanfic writers, how do you pick just a few? But:
