I was very productive today!!
Journaled in the morning, and recited a poem in front of the mirror right after waking up to test my memory
Hurried up through my morning routine which comprises of journalling morning pages, expressing gratitude to all the things I have in my life and reciting poetry to sit down to study.
If there weren't exams around the corner, I would have attended the republic Day celebrations
Anyway, did a lot of writing too for my novel. Around 2 words in a single day esp around exam time.
Revised Pharmaceutics, and practiced Pharmaceutical Analysis. We have these 2 subjects on Monday, and now I do feel confident for analysis.
As for dance practice, I did not do much physical practice. Ended up practicing facial expression for Nataraja shabdam

Internals finally start from 29th
Got the topics for every subject except Analysis which is mostly unit 1 but the sir literally doesn't teach very well
And it is a very lab heavy subject.
I had prepared for it earlier though, so I think I can perform decently
Went out with my classmates and finished reading Dorian. I sometimes why do I go out with them after I have reached that place, because everyone bores me and I bore them too
But yes, human is a social being, so I end up saying yes to some rare events
Did not dance yesterday because came back late, and it was raining, so it got really cold

Got my vintage washi tapes for my journals
There was a tumblr challenge about memorizing one poem each month. I did one too. O me! O life! By Walt Whitman
And classes have begun with the entire faculty coming in two days go. My internals are next week
And I am calm??? But I am grateful. This mindset did not come this easily
Did my own readings for Introduction to Biological Systems from Ross and Wilson
Read about Cell Organelles from another publication for semester exams.
For inorganic chem, I completed reading the textbook about Pharmacopoeia and limit tests
And for Pharmaceutical Analysis, I had theory class today, so decided to give a reading about the first unit before class about impurities, limit tests and processes of titration.
Did odissi today, but for maybe 45 minutes instead of the usual, because I need to prepare for my internals as well as spend little time on writing.
I hate skipping on all of my activities which I like just for exams, so i shorten each activity during exams now. That way I get to indulge in all as well as have time to study

There's a lot of dancing going on nowadays and classes have increased, and I am thankful that I started lectures earlier, so I can still dance, write and study.
Working on a new Indian romance book along with the others.
And currently I am reading Dorian Gray. Finished six chapters now. Maybe I will write a review of the book once I complete it.
I only Analysis left for the semester, and I need to start organic for the next like to just revise the basics, so I don't feel like a newbie because it's been a while since I have read it.
Practiced Pada Vande, Sritakamala, Desh pallavi today; each twice and my feet ache because it's winter and classical is to be done barefoot, so the little cold gets me aching feet now.

So I haven't done a lot of studying. Decided to work a little more on my books to finish some long pending works that actually did not take much time, but I was always procrastinating it
And I started working on a new story that I actually made up while narrating it to a friend.
Advice: note down all the wild ideas even your daydream scenarios. You never know when one wild idea will get you a story or a scene inspiration.

January 2, 2024!
For someone like me, who isn't living a very active lifestyle for last few years and almost spend all her time reading in bed, the thought of climbing is very off-putting.
But I always wanted to see Khandadhar Waterfalls. So, I pushed myself to climb these steps (more than 500) to reach the base of the waterfall.
The view when you reached the base is enchanting. I am glad I didn't skip it, fearing the exertion, otherwise I would have regretted it later.
Khandadhar Waterfalls is located at Nandapani, distance of few kilometres from Bonaigarh, a subdivision of Sundargarh District of Odisha. It is said to be highest waterfall in Odisha and 12th highest in India.

How to take notes from a textbook
Knowing what to and what not to write down from a textbook is a often an issue when studying. Should I include this or is that completely necessary? Hopefully these few tips will help anyone struggle to use their textbook!
Read the textbook prior to taking notes - This helps give you a solid understanding of the material so you can summarise and shorten your notes. Have a good understanding is great to help shorten your notes, since you can avoid copying the menial information.
Highlight some key points, terms and concepts before taking notes - Remember not to over-highlight, keep it brief and minimal; key words, facts, and statistics!
Have a colour coding system - This helps to visualise your notes when trying to memorise information and also makes your notes more effective material to learn from. Making sure you’re using the same colours for highlighting your textbook and writing your notes. My colour coding system can be found here.
Use the layout of the textbook to organise your notes - I found copying the headings and subheadings really helped simplify and ensure I was learning each section. It’s much easy to find information when you’re skimming through notes. This also ensures that you can remember what topic areas relate to others, meaning you can add more into your essays under exam conditions!
Include different ways to show the information - Use mindmaps, bullet points, graphs, flow chats, and post-it notes to help visualise the content. Breaking up your notes with graphics is a good way to avoid full pages of writing and great for memorising statistics or key elements of a topic.
Supplement your notes - Use other textbooks and your own research to expand the depth of your notes. This is highly important for subjects that can require evidence, statistics and evaluations. Making sure this information is embedded into your notes is great for writing essays.
Add your own personal touch - Add doodles, acronyms, and abbreviations to help your study. Little things that make important information unique and standout will help you recall it later!
Summarise each chapter - Make a final summary of each chapter using sticky notes or flash cards. Once you’ve read your textbook, you’ll have a collection of chapter summaries ready to study from.
Each of these tips have helped me recreate notes that are well-rounded and full of brief but useful information. I hope this information helps. Let me know if it does!

Trip is over and I am at my grandmother's house now.
Decided to finish HAP notes here and keep revising the other papers before college reopens.
Also got back to dancing again after the small break. Winter makes my legs hurt after the smallest amount of dancing
Now that I can travel intercity alone aka received permission from the hostel, I will now travel to my dance teacher's house sometimes to practice.
Did a jathi and shabdam yesterday along with adavus and since I am doing it at my grandmother's place, there is always some audience out

Woke a little late today, because I didn't have much work and it was cold
I am happy to keep maintaining my gratitude diary everyday. Usually I wake up early and write but on the days I don't, I write them either during noon or before sleep, but I am happy to maintain it every single day, a habit that I was never regular with before.
Also spent some time reading the book above. I guess I will be able to complete this one by December. I am actually thankful to get this book, because it provides so many lessons on relationships, ambitions and how to have a winning mindset.
Done with Unit 4 for HAP-1 (Human Anatomy and Physiology)
Since I am going home, I ended up practicing a little bit of Bharatanatyam and then ended up doing bollywood because I was too happy. It's a vacation yes but I also have some dance work too.

Yeah I getcha. I was once like you. Pure and naive. Great news. I AM STILL PURE AND NAIVE, GAME DEV IS FUN! But where to start?
To start, here are a couple of entry level softwares you can use! source: I just made a game called In Stars and Time and people are asking me how to start making vidy gaems. Now, without further ado:

Great for text-based games! GREAT FOR WRITERS WHO DONT WANNA DRAW!!!!!!!!! (but you can draw if you want)

✨Cons: Those games sure are small. This is to make THE simplest game. Barely any animation for your sprites, can barely fit a line of text in there. But honestly, the restrictions are refreshing!

RPGMaker:
To make RPGs! LIKE ME!!!!!
NOTE: I recommend getting the latest version if you can, but all have their pros and cons. You can get a better idea by looking at this post.
✨Pros: Literally everything you need to make an RPG. Has a tutorial inside the software itself that will teach you the basics. Pretty simple to understand, even if you have no coding experience! Also I made a post helping you out with RPGMaker right here!
✨Cons: Some stuff can be hard to figure out. Also, the latest version is expensive. Get it on sale!
Some games to look at: Yume Nikki, Hylics, In Stars and Time (hehe. I made it)

Unity and Unreal: I don't know anything about those! That looks hard to learn! But indie devs use them! It seems expensive! Follow your dreams though! Don't ask me how!
GameMaker: Wuh I just don't know anything about it either! I just know it's now free if your game is non-commercial (aka, you're not selling it), and Undertale was made on it! It seems good! You probably need some coding experience though!!!
Godot: Man I know even less about this one. Heard good things though!
BUNCHA RANDOM ADVICE!!!!
-Make something small first! Try making simple: a character is in a room, and exits the room. The character can look around, decide to take an item with them, can leave, and maybe the door is locked and you have to find the key. Figuring out how to code something like that, whether it is as a fully text-based game or as an RPGMaker map, should be a good start to figure out how your software of choice works!
-After that, if you have an idea, try first to make the simplest version of that idea. For my timeloop RPG, my simplest version was two rooms: first room you can walk in, second room with the King, where a cutscene automatically plays and the battle starts, you immediately die, and loop back to the first room, with the text from this point on reflecting this change. I think I also added a loop counter. This helped me figure out the most important thing: Can This Game Be Made? After that, the rest is just fun stuff.
So if you want to make a dating sim, try and figure out how to add choices, and how to have affection points go up and down depending on your choices! If you want to make a platformer, figure out how to make your character move and jump and how to create a simple level! If you just want to make a kinetic visual novel with no choices, figure out how to add text, and how to add portraits! You'll be surprised at how powerful you'll feel after having figured even those simple things out.
-If you have a programming problem or just get confused, never underestimate the power of asking Google! You most likely won't be the only person asking this question, and you will learn some useful tips! If you are powerful enough, you can even… Ask people??? On forums??? Not me though.
-Yeah I know you probably want to make Your Big Idea RIGHT NOW but please. Make a smaller prototype first. You need to get that experience. Trust me.
-If you are not a womanthing of many skills like me, you might realize you need help. Maybe you need an artist, or a programmer. So! Game jams on itch.io are a great way to get to work and meet other game devs that have different strengths! Or ask around! Maybe your artist friend secretly always wanted to draw for a game. Ask! Collaborate! Have fun!!!

Went to MBA Garden after lecture (more like skipping the last one because I got my attendance done before hand)
Worked on my short story collection, currently on Satyabhama. I think the writing part will take some more time. The outline is ready, but I am not satisfied with the depth, so I am being patient and exploring her more.
I am excited to go home lol after 3 days
And I have left studying a little loose, but I am getting my notes done.
And got my dance exam results. I topped with great scores.
