Darkstalker IS a morally grey character. The things that he has done are terrible, obviously, but the entire time he truly believes he is not evil. He is working towards the happy future that he can see with his visions, and is going to great and terrible lengths to get there. What he does is wrong, I am not arguing that, but his character and mindset as a whole puts him in the grey area. Mind you, if you had any common sense, you’d realize that “grey” does not mean a “perfect middle”, so I’m not saying he’s half good half bad. He is an antagonist who nearly killed an entire tribe. That’s fucked up; but I’m one of the (apparently few) people on earth who recognizes and enjoys character with more depth to them than “GOOD OR BAD”. Darkstalker is my favorite character besides Sunny! Does that mean I’m condoning every action of his? No, of course not, are you 12?? Does appreciating his depth and gray inner morality mean that I think he was justified in any of it? Dude. No. What is your problem.

And three moons above, don’t get me started on the whole thing with the third arc.

Writing about something that is bad in a way that clearly lights it as a bad thing… is not weird. It is not worthy of discourse. The Silkwings were enslaved, and it was wrong, and it was not only clearly wrong in the books but it was also RESOLVED. The entire POINT of the third arc was that it was an evil thing that was happening and it needed to stop. I am truly baffled at how many people don’t seem to understand that. With your logic, we can’t write about anything bad happening ever again. You’re talking about censoring books. You are going down a very dangerous path with that line of thinking.
