Tbh I've been toying with the idea of changing job/ industries for a while, maybe this is my cue..? Fashion brands are money-oriented above all else, so it's inevitable that ai will come and stay here. Hmmm
Oof... Learned today that the brand I used to work for is hiring graphic designers again and one of the requirements is, behold, 'experience/ familiarity working with Midjourney'. Said brand build its entire reputation on working (and priding itself in it!) with artists and showcasing their art, and taking parts in various artistic events. I have no words.
I knew AI would come for fashion industry rather quickly (especially for surface patterns), but seeing it (and from familiar source) it extremely discouraging still.

Hello! I come with some good news! In the EU, a law has been passed restricting generative AIs (particularly ones that pose a high risk). I hope other areas in the world follow suit, but this is huge! It'll take a while to be applied as well, though this is still a major win for everyone.
