Hello,

It’s been awhile since I logged on here.

To be completely honest and transparent for everyone who has followed and support this blog, I honestly don’t know.

If I were to do it, I wouldn’t even know how to organize it as it was completely different now from years ago. It’s bit more complex now comparing to years ago.

A lot has changed within the tumblr community. This goes for all fandoms. It can become messy within seconds.

I am sorry for not giving straight answer. But These are my thoughts on it.

Creators. Are your comms open?

Creating is a viable source of income, and if a creator has worked at their craft and decides to sell their wares, I think it’s good of the creative community to help support them! I have friends that are really hard working, popular artists and their comm sheets barely get any circulation; same with writing. I think we can change that by making a list!

Do you have a comm sheet? If you do, go ahead and send it to me in my DMs. Please make sure it’s neat and legible, and please have at least some reputation within the community. this does not mean you need to be popular, just that you need to have an active blog and some community ties within your fandom. This might seem odd, but there have been some dishonest people in the last year who decided to take comm money and run. So I don’t want to risk it!

I’ll have it separated into writers, artists, and then “Other.” Your comms do not need to be open now, you just need to have a comm sheet. Just make sure you update your socials so people don’t bug ya if they aren’t open!

Also, considering putting a sample of your work on your comm sheet so people know what you’re selling!

If you don’t create/sell comms, that you’ll help circulate this list to support creators!

I’ll wait til the end of the week and draft it up.

just a quick psa!

before i start, i just want to say that this is not a callout post, this is a psa for writers to be aware and cautious. additionally: do not send hate. you’re better than that, and there’s enough hate in the world with no need for more.

for those of you who aren’t aware of the situation, a youtube channel named “Susu Stories” has been reading fics on her channel regardless of permission given and not giving credit, as well as monetizing her videos (some of which have garnered thousands of views).

this is plagiarism and profiting off of the hard work that writers have posted for free. while she does take down the videos once asked, she has reacted negatively to being asked to take down all the stolen content on her channel without waiting for writers to ask her to take the content down, despite the serious legal issues that could arise from this. in one instance, a video that was apparently taken down was reuploaded soon after, negating her agreement to delete the video (since it’s automatically known that the video must be deleted permanently). it’s extremely difficult for writers to check for their content due to the sheer number of videos she has + checking would mean watching her videos and adding to the view count.

if you are a writer, please block the following accounts just to be safe and to protect your content (especially if you have seen these urls in your notifications): @/susuwrites, @/mysterioussusu, @/mha-things, and @/15121999susu. if you are able, please take the extra step to report the youtube channel, and look into tumblr’s DMCA rules if your content has been on her channel without permission.

again, this post is for awareness and caution, please do not send pointless hate or negativity, as it’ll make the existing situation even worse.

Write fanfiction guiltlessly. Do it not only because it’s good practice, not only because you don’t feel like putting your energy into original stuff, but because you do feel like putting your energy into fandom. Write fanfics of epic proportions or tiny one-shots; write fluff or angst or cliches or tropes; publish the roughest version or keep the twelfth draft for only yourself. Do it without feeling bad. You owe no one anything; the act of creation is a gift in and of itself, and it doesn’t matter if you’re creating fanfic or original stories or whatever else you want. All that matters is you enjoy it, because why else would you do it at the end of the day?

Write fanfiction guiltlessly.

i just wanted to say to anyone who writes or even to anyone who wants to get into writing keep writing. i know it’s hard and sometimes you don’t think your writing is good enough but it doesn’t matter. even if your writing needs work the only way to get better is to write more and write the way you want to write. everyone has their own stories to tell, their own outlook, and their own things they enjoy, write them not what you think people want. when you write what you want it will turn out better because you passion is there and people will love that passion.

your stories might not be for everyone but the people who will love them will find them. keep writing, keep improving, keep putting the content you love out there.

The Tumblr writing community is dying.

It’s something I’ve noticed over the past two years of using this site. It was gradual, imperceptible at first, something that most would brush off as a silly concern, or fault Tumblr algorithm for. While it’s true that Tumblr’s engine leaves a lot to be desired, I’ve noticed that even popular blogs have started to dwindle in terms of interaction or motivation. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest two I’ve noticed, experienced myself, and asked fellow writers about is this: (1) content being stolen, and (2) lack of feedback or interaction. I’ve never seen any logical person defend content being stolen, so I want to address point 2 instead.

Lack of feedback and interaction. I’m not saying this on my behalf so much as I’m saying this for friends and smaller blogs who have lost motivation to write. I was looking at my yandere writing blogs list the other day and noticed that a good majority of them no longer write. I usually update the list every few months, and by that point, more and more writers have stopped writing entirely. This isn’t a problem confined solely to the yandere fandom; in fact, there’s less writing blogs in general these days, especially ones that are active. I used to run a very popular BNHA blog with some friends, but that dissolved after our content was stolen and our followers stopped interacting as much. Out of our 8,500 followers, we hardly got 0.015% notes (~128 notes) on an average post. Tumblr is to blame for the lack of eyes seeing our posts, for sure, but that also means that at least 128 people saw one post and didn’t leave a comment or ask. We were considered a big blog; imagine what it’s like on a small blog.

My friend recently made a post that summed this up perfectly:

“I’ve seen people say “Be grateful that people even lurk on your page.” and, while I get the message they’re trying to say, it’s more dismissive and hurtful in my opinion. Like you’re saying, “Oh your writing is mediocre, you should be grateful people even LOOK at it.”

Me personally? I’ve heard the argument that AO3 is a better place to post fanfics, and while that might be true, I’ve had friends experience firsthand the lack of interaction there too. I’ve heard the argument that interacting with some writers is intimidating (me included). I’ve heard that argument that followers might be too shy to interact. I’ve heard the argument that writers should write for themselves and not for views / likes / reblogs / etc, and while that’s ideal, it’s not sustainable for everyone. What works for one writer won’t work for another, but you know what will? Interaction.

That comment or ask that took you 2 seconds to write? We remember it. That reblog with the compliments in the tags? We remember it. Every single ‘named’ anon we get (heart anon, sunflower anon, etc)? We remember them. And the best part is? It’s actually easier to do these things on Tumblr since you have the option to send anonymous asks or make a sideblog specifically for reblogs! Trust me, whether the lack of interaction is the cause of a lack of motivation or what have you, every writer appreciates feedback (don’t be shy to offer some critique or compliments) or even a simple keyboard smash with some emojis. Even sitting down for 5 min a day per week to comment on your favorite writers’ new pieces makes a huge difference. Personally, since Tumblr’s activity feed is beyond terrible and I have over 1,500 posts, I don’t always see new reblogs or comments on my content; asks though? Always see those, can never go wrong with those. If you don’t want to reblog or leave a comment, then you can never go wrong with an anonymous ask.

As my wise friend says: writing is an art, and in order to improve that art, we need other people’s eyes to see what we don’t.

If you think I actually want to have sexual intercourse with a 15/16 year old, then you have very poor judgment.

When I say I wanna f*ck ___, I literally am picturing someone above the age of 23, because that is the age range I will go for. It’s one thing to be sexually attracted to minors, but it’s another thing to fantasize and age them up where it is legally and morally ethical to be attracted to them. In fiction, you are allowed to age them up. You are allowed to fantasize. You are allowed to make whatever you want up.

Because this is our safe space. This is a place where we can talk freely about our deepest desires, a place that we expect is free from judgment. If you don’t like something, please don’t go attacking others for it. Don’t call people “pedophiles” when they’re not. Don’t undermine what true pedophilia is either because it hurts actual victims who have actually suffered from that trauma. Unfollow and block.

In my writing, I will always age characters up. In my drawings, they will always appear aged up. I always put respective warnings on my posts. Remember to be cautious if you decide to click on a link that clearly says NSFW or if you decide to follow a blog that is clearly NSFW.

There’s a difference between writer’s block and being burnt out.

If you’re experiencing writer’s block, you’re probably frustrated with your inability to get something down on the page. Maybe you’re stuck on a plot point. Maybe you have an idea in your head and you can’t figure out the right words. You want to be writing, but you’re having a problem with some part of the process that gets the words out.

If you’re experiencing burnout, you’re more likely feeling like writing is futile. What’s the point of writing anyway? Nobody cares. No one’s going to read it. Your writing sucks and you’re not getting any better. You’ll never be as popular as that other writer over there. You might as well just give up.

It’s important to pay attention to yourself and how you’re feeling so that you know which one is which. If you don’t know what your problem is, you won’t be able to fix it.

i don’t think people really get how little feedback fanfic authors actually get? like the effort to reaction ratio is so abysmally skewed here that a fic nearly 50,000 words long takes an entire year to amass like. 16 comments. someone reblogged a fic i wrote at 4 am and tagged it with a 5-word compliment and i can’t stop thinking about it, not because it was so nice but because half the time you post a fic you’re going to hear nothing and anything feels like so much

fandom culture is so, so good about giving artists the credit they’re due, but we gotta start doing that for writers too. you’ve got no idea how much people put into their stories and get maybe a handful of reblogs and a dozen-odd kudos. that’s not enough. writing is an endurance sport and y’all need to start giving fic writers a reason to endure it and improve their craft. encourage writers like you encourage artists. reblog fics, leave tags, leave comments, acknowledge that these stories do not just spring into being for your entertainment.

every single damn writer i know feels like half of their readers see them as a machine. that’s gotta change.

Bakugou

· He’s incredibly angry and everyone around him knows it. As soon as he knows that you’re missing he makes it his business. Bakugou knows what it’s like to be captured and tortured, so his face immediately blanks.

· A scream erupts from him as he lets out small sparks at his sides. Whoever took you was going to have hell to pay, Bakugou would make sure of it.

· He makes a loose plan, tells a few that he trusts, and brings them along. Of course, one of them tells the others and they all end up going together whether Bakugou wants it or not. He’s grateful on the inside.

· Bakugou storms into the base and pretty much goes feral. Anyone who stands in his way is taken care of, his style of course.

· After his s/o is back in his arms safe, he squeezes them tightly. Bakugou can’t help but feel like his heart is going to jump out of his throat as he swears at them for being so foolish and for getting caught.

· He’s much more cautious about his s/o and doesn’t let them go out on missions solo or leave the house alone for quite some time. It takes a lot for Bakugou to forget about what happened, and he’s more than willing to go at it if that group shows its face again.

Todoroki

· It feels like the worst pain he’s ever experienced when Todoroki learns of your capture. He never thought that you, his s/o, would be caught out like the others explained. It…just wasn’t like you.

· He spends a few moments trying to get his frustration and tears in check. He was not about to cry because of this.

· Todoroki’s mind goes to every worst case scenario and he can’t stop the flood of negativity that hits him all at once. But, he’s able to calm them and work towards a plan.

· Instead of freaking out, he makes a plan. Todoroki isn’t going to just sit around and wait for you to come back to him. Instead, he goes about it smartly and works with other heroes to find you.

· Todoroki, followed by some of the best heroes he knows, make a tactical advance on the location of the believed villains and get his s/o back to safety without as much of a fight as Bakugou makes it. They use strategy and outsmart the villains rather than storming the place.

· Afterward, Todoroki makes his s/o promise to never do anything like that again. He’s trying to not show too much force, but he’s lost enough in his life. He can’t lose his s/o too.

Midoriya

· Tears. All I have to say is tears.

· Midoriya is really surprised by the news because his s/o is an amazingly strong person…how could they have gotten caught? If anything, he thought they’d be the one bringing a villain into custody.

· After the ramble of comments, Midoriya comes back to the fact that his s/o has been taken and that he doesn’t know where they are. More panic ensues.

· Someone else has to remind him that his s/o is strong and that they can get out of this. Or, they can survive until help arrives.

· Midoriya nods silently as he tries to get over his shock, then helps plan the attack itself. The others demand he stays behind but he will stop at nothing to get his s/o home safe.

· Midoriya may injure himself by accident while on the mission because he’s too pent-up with emotion to control his quirk very well.

· More tears when his s/o is safe and at home. He dotes over them (more than they want him to) because he’s so concerned about them and that they recover successfully.

· Awkwardly demands they go everywhere together and may even resort to sending someone to follow his s/o if he can’t himself.

Kaminari

· He’s absolutely beside himself. Kaminari doesn’t handle stress well, and this is one of those situations. He does a small short circuit and has to be reminded by those around him that it’ll be okay before he can focus on anything other than what he was just told.

· Starts panicking and spews words faster than he has before. Kaminari keeps asking where they and if anyone knows what happened, even though they don’t know much.

· He can’t really help plan the mission to rescue his s/o so he leaves it to the others and focuses on calming himself. Kaminari’s mood hits an all-time low as he realizes just how useless he’s being in the situation. He’s doing all he can, but in his eyes this is a failure as a support for his s/o. They’re fighting, and all he can do is mope.

· Kaminari tries to follow the group to save his s/o but ends up sulking in the back. He can’t get out of his head.

· As soon as he sees his s/o, he runs to them and grabs their arms forcefully. He starts rushing his words and tells them that he was incredibly worried, that they can’t do that again, etc.

· Kaminari then proceeds to make sure that they’re okay and even goes as far as picking them up and carrying them back.
