Look how cute this fabric is! I’m making a golf polo for my dear husband and also matching polos for the cats because i think it would be hysterical.
I got 4 yards (it’s a relatively stiff jersey from JoAnn’s POP fabrics line) because it was on clearance but his shirt only needs like… 1.5 yards at most. What to do with the remainder when I’m done 🤔

New pants! Thanks to the Joanns clearance I got this fabric something like $5 a yard! It’s a silky charmeuse fabric and it’s extremely comfortable! Same pattern as the last black and white pants- Butterrick 5612! Love giving life old patterns with snazzy modern fabrics.

He moved his boyfriend in with him into my house then proceeded to invite his polycule over every day. I’ve since had to evict them and instal a security system (iron doors and a button).
Y’all I was building a nice house in my minecraft village. Some random jobless villager moved in and started sleeping in my bed. I put in a bed next to mine and now we’re married.

I finally converted him back and he repaid me by divorce me, change career (to shepherd) and overcharge me on his wares.

Bernard has been turned into a zombie. Gonna have to cage and tag him while I go get blaze sticks or find a witch hut.

I beg of you all to please ignore the cringe of my posing, I’m horrifically awkward in front of a camera.
Wanted to show off some clothes I’ve made recently!
First up, houndstooth pants! They’re EXTREMELY comfortable, 100% cotton, and thrifted fabric! Eveything was from the stash so it feels like no money spent here!
The pattern is a “vintage”(see, old, thrifted) Butterrick pattern, number B5612 wide leg pant with zipper.

Next up: this dope jumpsuit/romper, whatever people call it, made from, you may have recognized it, IKEA cotton upholstery fabric! It’s from McCalls M7626, and honestly; I’ve had to do a pretty shitty looking adjustment to the straps in the back because the straps were too short and I have no fabric left to adjust them with. Need to find some matching knit instead of the black currently there but, that’ll probably fall by the wayside for a while. 10/10, I wear this all the time.

Last for this post, a lovely cross front, tie in back flowy sleeve top in a stunning fabric I got at JoAnns. As far as I can tell, 100% polyester. Pattern is unfortunately lost on me right now. I’ll update if I can figure out which it was, definitely a big 4 pattern but I can’t find it in my catalogue right now.
To be honest I’m moving away from cropped clothes so if anyone’s interested in buying this, I’d probably sell it really cheap if you pay for shipping. Would be an American size between medium and large but the tie back and cross front nature of the shirt means you could really wear this still even if you’re bigger or smaller than me.

As a final note, I do not and will not ever edit any of my photos displaying anything I’ve made or pictures of myself. 1) I’m too lazy to edit and 2) I’m firmly in the party that if you do anything besides color adjustments to fit real life, it’s a bit of a falsification of your body/item to viewers and that just doesn’t vibe with me. Any time I do edit, it will be clearly marked as such at the beginning of the post and in the tags.

It’s my birthday and first wedding anniversary this weekend so I want to share my wedding dress! It is 100% made by me alone, and took close to 6 months. The final looks different from the original design but I’m moderately happy with the result. As an aside I also made my own jewelry and bouquet as well!

There’s several parts on it that make me want to cry and redo and some parts that I love. I’m notoriously picky and hard on myself when I make my own things but it’s hard to deal with dress regret when you did everything from design up to completed garment, you know?

The base layer is 100% silk from Ukraine, a shop called Secret Spark on Etsy. It was already a lovely purple but I did dye it a little deeper so it showed up better. After that comes a layer of a lavender and silver shift two tone chiffon from NewFabricsDaily, a layer of glitter tulle from Joanns, a layer of sequin squiggle from LaceFabricArt, and a final layer of tulle which the lace ( ElmaLaceApplique) was attached to.

Internally there’s a steel spiral boned corset made from a pattern by CorsetsByCaroline (modified Patsy) which is made of satin from my Mother In Law’s wedding dress leftover fabric.
Tumblr media
A LOT of self drafting went into making this dress and I think I made it much harder on myself than I needed to by taking a normal 6-7 panel dress and making it 14 panels to match up with the base corset I used for the initial bust design. Why did I do this? Looking back, I have no fucking clue. It caused a ton of heartache and is the reason a lot of things are tugging in weird ways in some photos.
Truthfully though? It doesn’t matter how much I do or don’t like the dress because I am THRILLED by the person I was so very very lucky to marry. They mean the world to me and i would’ve married in a garbage bag and still been the happiest I’ve ever been. Love is so cool.
