Questions:
Could you see me if I was in a crowd?
Would you try to look for me?
Or would I be invisible, like the air that we breathe?
Could you put me together again?
Could you heal my hearty wounds?
Would you help me to live again?
Would you be part of me too?
Can I ask you to dance with me?
Can I ask you to sing?
Would you hold my hand, hold it like it weighs nothing?
Could I give you my heart? Would you promise not to drop it?
Would you hold it close to you?
Protect it? Love it?
Can I make you see me?
Can you open up your eyes?
look between the lines, you’ll find out that I’m not fine.
Can I ask you for your heart? Can I ask you for just a piece?
Could you open up to me? Can you just let me in please?
Would you ever feel what you did? Do I even stand a chance? will we ever be one? Or must I give up on that stance?
I do not like to ask questions, but sometimes it’s all I can do. I want to know your soul.
Please tell me what to do.
Can I call myself an artist? I know that you’re my muse
I search for all the signs, I’ve searched for all your clues.

My Kingdoms and My Wings by M.G
I get that I was gone,
So why am I now alone?
I tried to move on,
But I am still alone.
I might as well be mute,
Because I just got the boot.
I’ve been kicked to the curb,
Thrown away like trash.
I am in the past,
The present isn’t mine
I want to move on,
But I keep saying “I am fine”.
I tried to speak up,
But of course it backfired,
What else would I expect?
I am so fucking tired.
They all just forgot me,
They pretend I am not there,
I am as lonely as ever,
Because nobody cares.
I wish I was a hermit,
Because then I’d have a reason for being a loner
And being treated without justice, like I’m some kind of stoner.
I tried my hardest,
But no one ever showed up for me.
Now that I am lonely,
I’m supposedly free.
Freedom is a lie,
I cannot fly without my wings,
I am nothing without all my people, my kingdoms and their kings.
So now is the time I will beg and plead and pray,
For someone to be there for me and not go away.
NOTE: If you use my poetry, please credit me.
Sometimes, you want to beg for those toxic friends to come back because loneliness is too much to handle sometimes.

Submission by M.G
Sometimes I wish you were mine.
And then I cry realising that I am yours even if you don’t want me.
And then I wish,
I wish so god damn hard for you to fall in love with me
I wish for you to fall so hard that you’re on your knees for me
An act of submission to prove your devotion to me
An act of submission to allow me to believe you’re genuine.
I am yours.
No matter how hard you reject me, I’ll stay yours.
No matter how hard the fall is, I’ll bleed and scream in agony
All for you.
Just you
Because you’re not mine.
NOTE: if you use my work, please credit me.
The is was inspired by my muse and unrequited love because I’m going through that teenage phase. Loving it so so much (sarcasm)

In the Movie Theatre by M.G
Hold my hand in the dark of the movie theatre
Hold it in our popcorn bucket
Kiss me when I’m unsure of myself
Love me when I’m nothing
I am the Heaven
And you are the man
I am yours
You aren’t mine
You shine in the night sky the brightest
I am a dull lightbulb
You say I am good
I believe it when it comes from you
I love you to pieces
The fragments of my one sided love
NOTE: If you choose to use my work, please give me credit.
I wrote this after seeing the Eras Tour Movie last year!! @taylorswift got the romantic vibes flowing between me and my muse…

We Belong by M.G
My ignorance is bliss,
Please just give me one last kiss,
I promise after that my feelings will be dismissed,
I want to hold your hand,
I want to touch your skin,
Please love me, just love me,
Let this forever begin,
I know it has been long,
Please just let me sing our song,
Let me be blessed by your face,
Hold me in your embrace,
Love me here and now,
Because I know you’ll forget me somehow,
Please allow me to be yours,
Don’t treat me like a toy
Please let this love be happy,
Don’t let it go to the void
I have a fragile soul,
I know the distant cold,
I have a love so strong,
Please , my dearest,
We belong.
Note: If you use my work, give me credit please.
I hope my muse doesn’t see this one either. That’ll be one long conversation.

Suddenly by M.G
Suddenly, everything was about you.
Every breath and every thought concerned you.
Every minute of my days, caught up with you.
And suddenly, all my poems were about you.
Every dream I dreamt was about you,
every nightmare I had was gone with the thought of your face,
Every calculation was about you,
Every sign was about you,
And suddenly, my whole life became you.
I wanted to be yours,
I daydream of us together
In ballrooms, when you’d hold me close
Where it could be us forever.
And suddenly, I became yours.
But you were never mine.
And suddenly my poems weren’t kind.
Suddenly I grew cold
Suddenly I lost myself
Suddenly I was an empty shell.
Suddenly, platonicity was gone.
And still every thought I think is about you.
The way your lips felt on mine,
the way your smile brightened my day,
the way your touch made swoon,
the songs we claimed as ours,
That I can’t let be played.
There is a light that never goes out, yet our flame has been blown
but I am the remanence of us trying to find my way back home.
NOTE: If you’re going to use my work, give me credit please.
I hope the muse doesn’t see this…that might be awkward…

The Phantom I am by M.G
Am I the phantom of the forgotten?
Does the air I produce taste of bitter milk and sourness?
Was I just some bird that flew into your life yet changed climates and had to move away?
To what extent did the bluebird lose its feathers and sprout back big black feathers in its place?
Friend or foe? Both? Neither?
Either way I am a phantom.
A spectre to spectate others, a being to watch over you, dearest.
From afar. You see me not, as I hide in sorrow and despair,
you feel me there, a knife in your side, or perhaps a soft breeze blowing past you.
Do I exist if not sought after?
Is existing being alive?
Days and days, repetition, repetition. The phantom of Sorrow, lingering fool, everlasting breath of sourness, puppet becoming the puppeteer.
Phantom of the stage,
no longer lit up brightly
but blue and black hues in the mits of every room I enter,
a fools game was played,
A fools game I’ll inevitably play again.
NOTE: This is my work and if you choose to use it in anyway, please credit me.
This was inspired by a book I read last year in Literature, ‘Grief is the Thing with Feathers’ by Max Porter. It was also inspired by real life events of betrayal from friends and people I held close to me.

Glance at Me by M.G
I don’t even get a glance when you see me or walk past.
You don’t ever call my name, nothing is ever the same.
Would you even spare me a glance if I ever asked you for a chance?
Am I invisible?
Maybe just nothing?
Why can’t you look at me as if I mean something?

Take This Pain/A Fairytale by M.G
I’m no damsel in distress, but I need you nonetheless.
May there be true loves kiss in summer’s light, May you kiss me hard with all your might.
Take this pain from me, remove it with your spell, With one look of your face, I’m compelled, by such desire.
You light a flame within me, a raging type of fire, It always appears when situations are dire.
Take this pain from me, remove it with your lips, leave my stomach to do those fluttering flips.
Take my heart and hold it tightly, caress it oh so politely.
Take this pain from me, in any way you can, you know I’ll forever be your biggest fan.
NOTE: This poem belongs to me. If you use it please credit my account.

You and I by M.G
My delusions are my hope,
I am the Vatican and you’re the pope
You’re the spirit and I’m the ghost
Who loves who the most?
I am the water, you are the trees.
I love you, do you love me?
I am the sand, you are the sea.
Either way, we’ll never be.
I am the singer, you are the song
You’re Hollywood and I don’t belong
I am the actor, you are the role.
But do you want my soul?
We are academics,
But I am no muse
I am the writer, I’ll only lose
Just between me and you, we are the blues.
Listen to my cues
