This season I want John to use his projecting powers/his arm to kill again, but this time I don't want it to be out of hatred, I want it to be out of devotion to Arthur, so devoted he becomes unrecognizable in a way we've never seen before. I want him to become utterly visceral. Out of so much devotion that it doesn't even cross Arthur's mind that this could be remanence of The King in Yellow, John's his own now, I want him to blur the lines between John and something else entirely, something worse.

Found a Darkthur sketch in procreate from about a month ago, decided to clean it up the tiniest bit to post. I know this isn’t necessarily the only or the most likely interpretation, but I absolutely love the narrative idea of this Arthur cutting off his own left arm when John gets too uppity.

I love how "the cold, calculated demeanor of someone not to fuck with" is either interpreted as Arthur looking like a wet cat and John lying out of his noncorporeal ass to manipulate him or Arthur looking like a trembling Chihuahua, but also the feral kind of Chihuahua that will bite off your fingers given the chance
