Sir Pentious in my style / Redesign (More info below \/)
Is my favorite one that I’ve done so far up with the Husk one. On the other hand some of my old ones I’m not interested in posting with how they’ve turned out. Still, I had a LOT of fun with this. I’m a big snake person.
Biggest thing I messed around with was Definitely the Frill/flaps. Cobra or King Cobra flaps don’t actually look anything like what Pentious has and so I ended up basing them a lot off of frilled lizards actually. Besides that I really wanted to lean into the face design kind of aspect animals especially these kind of snakes usually had so I altered the eyes, added another pair, a squiggly line and generally arranged it to be face like. Unfortunately his big scary snake face is just an adorable smiley ;3
I made the body more snake-like and altered the decoration. I also added the eye back on his chest because I thought that was pretty cool.
Also, realistic snake tongue and fangs :3

Husk In my style / Redesign (more info below)
I Had a lot of fun with this one!
Disregarding artstyle I think the biggest thing different here is the wings. I did a little combination of the old design for husk’s wings and the new one, and then added some. Generally wings are some of my favorite things to draw so I just went all out.
Besides that, I added back to feather-looking shapes in the cheek fluff and really made them feathers, adding bits of decoration, I feel it helps fit the design together and adds more opportunity for expression
Everything else is mostly just mixing between the old and new design and my own art style :3
