Hey all,

After some thought I’ve decided I’ve stretched myself a little thin in some areas and need to be more intentional about my time and social media.

So, in light of that, I’ve decided that

I’m leaving Tumblr.

There, now that I’ve said the sad news, I do really want to mention that I have greatly enjoyed all the wonderful support and comments and reblogs on here from y’all, even though I haven’t been on here long.

I did it! Sorin Jayson has a character design sheet.

As a refresher, Sorin is the MC of my current WIP novel, “Don’t Call Me a Hero”.

~~

‘He didn’t like being noticed, and tonight he needed desperately to blend in. Hence the mask and long coat. He’d even picked a color besides gray: a dull muddy-green combat suit, the accents of both coat and suit a dark red. Something flamboyant enough to say hero and dull enough to keep discreet.

He felt the dark reddish maroon slashes a justified touch for the lives lost because of him. He wasn’t a hero. People were dead because of him.

But not tonight.

Tonight, he was going to save some kids.

His kids.’

Here’s Sorin’s hero suit and code name. Took awhile to figure out what colors I wanted him to have, but I decided on the colors I tend to draw him wearing the most: wolf grey, blood red/maroon, and army/olive green.

Still undecided on the mask color, though. For now it’s black.

Despite the more unique posing of this image, I ditched references, even though I probably should have gotten one for the wolf, but I really wanted to just capture Parvin’s emotion and desperation in this scene. Hopefully I did to some extent.

‘What was normal? Everyone was odd. All that mattered was whether you used your particular life to hurt others or help them.

He knew the right thing was to help. The problem was, hurting people was something he was rather good at. It was too easy. It scared him.

Better to keep to himself, drop in and help only when it was needed. He didn’t dare engage any further.

He was too dangerous. Too much risk to make friends. Family.

Family—just another word for people he could hurt. People he could lose.’
