I think of you across this room. You're standing there looking like you just stepped out of a 90s film, the grunge type of guy who listens to Nirvana, rocks a plaid flannel on your waist, plays a bit of guitar and rides around on roller skates, and the world knows I love 90s films and Kurt Cobain. Your hair is messy and dark, and the stars are hiding somewhere on your body wearing black. You're a modern warfare with inked skin and lovely, oh so lovely, eyes. And that is you in me, in this empty land where no one dwells but the thought of your name. And I can think of nothing but to run into your arms, to let myself fall into you and melt instantly into soft leaden rain, with all my convictions and love still intact. And then your eyelashes move in slow motion and I become something for which there are no words. White flag, my love, take me here. I want it all from you. The sighs of longing, the wanting and not being able to, the disasters, our ravaged bodies as if they were bombed cities, blossoming florescence erupting from cracks between the floorboards. I want with you war and most of all, I want your peace.
