heLLO!! i swear i havent disappeared! i was away for the week visiting my best friend for her birthday ( in hindsight i should’ve mentioned that butlaskdjhfkljah ). i’m gonna sort through everything i missed while i was gone but do not worrY i am still here!!

“   you really don’t believe me, do you?   ”   cedric hadn’t much experience with muggles. naturally, one of those unbreakable rules was to never tell of the wizarding world’s existence, but how was he supposed to do that when they’d just encountered a magical being - one who was impossible to ignore? although perhaps it wouldn’t be an issue after all. she seemed rather insistent that cedric’s explanation was a lie when in fact, he telling more of the truth than he should.

For years, being a vampire is lonely. He hates his brother, he can’t seem to get Katherine out of his mind, and there’s nothing to do to pass the time. It feels lifeless, adventures blending together; but then she comes into his life. Lexi changes everything, bringing out the best in him, in all of them. It is something to behold. He sits in the pressed suit, enjoying the 70s and the new music that they’re listening to together. Stefan grabs her hand to dance with her, taking her away to the dance floor. “You’re mine! There’s no one else I’d rather dance with out here.” He laughs, kissing her forehead. His best friend is something to behold.

the 70s were a release. compared to the tension of the 60s and stuffiness of the 50s, lexi felt like she was finally in a decade she could enjoy  -  and the music, the MUSIC! and the fact that she got to share it with stefan? god, this was it. there was no way she could be happier than she was in this moment.   “   mr. salvatore! so forward!   ”   lexi teased as she followed her best friend out onto the dance floor.   “   no one? well, i’m flattered. wish i could say the same to you.   ”   a grin, she flipped her feathered hair so that it would not so gently hit him in the face as she spun around.

She’s doing this for Rory! Lorelai keeps reminding herself that when she walks to the front of her house. It’s hard for her to ask her parents for help ever, but this time, for her daughter’s birthday, she knows Emily will want to be involved. She knocks on the door, before mildly thinking of running away. When it opens, Lorelai forces a smile, trying not to look as desperate as she is to give her kid what she deserves. “I just wanted to stop by before going to the inn to talk to you about Rory’s birthday next week Mom.”

“   lorelai, i thought that was you!   ”   despite what her daughter may believe, emily was tickled when she dropped by. however, that didn’t come without its caveats. it was doubtful lorelai was simply dropping in for a visit  -  emily knew their relationship wasn’t necessarily the kind where her daughter would just want to “hang out.” not like lorelai with her own daughter. and there it was, the true reason for her unexpected visit.   “   is she having a party?   ”   emily loved a good party!   “   drink?   ”   she asked, leading lorelai into the living area.
