I am LIVING for deaf Regulus. Just the Black brother sending themselves secret codes during family dinner, James learning sign language the moment Sirius told him Regulus was deaf so he could communicate with his best friend's brother, and the surprise Regulus had when they first met on the train. Regulus teaching all his friends sign language because THEY asked. Then the romance between James and Regulus, and how they communicate in the great Hall without anyone else knowing. And Sirius understanding everything ??? I am breathing for all of these things.

I'm writing a little story where Regulus has selective mutism and a hard time with words and now this has consumed my brain in a way that i can't even explain.

This is all i think about everyday. The way he communicates with his friends and the way they support him even when they don't really understand him. The way his relationship with James develops little by little and James tries his best to understand Regulus and his perspective of the world, never judging and always being appreciative of all his good and his bad. And last but not least his relationship with Sirius and the fact that they need to relearn everything about each other after being estranged and find new ways to communicate, they used to understand each other better than anyone else in the entire world and they don't anymore.
