MINI FANFICTION: MIGHT NOT FINISH
Part 1 of a possible Chapter 1 (Surprise, I'm not dead)
Frisk learnt they didn’t like cramped places. They had never really considered it before, but their adventure hiding in a box had solidified their dislike of small and cramped places. It’s stuffy, and Frisk didn’t think they could handle another second of it. They listened carefully, the sounds of engines blaring and people talking filled the area. They should be able to peak their head out now, since it sounded like they were far enough away from the docks. Taking a few deep breathes, Frisk prepared to leave.
Raising their hands above them, Frisk carefully extended their body and pushed the top of the box off, letting it lay on its hinges. Their eyebrows scrunched slightly as the Sun’s dazzling light gazed down on them, causing them to grab their flat cap and bring it down to obscure their eyes. With the blinding light finally dealt with, Frisk started to look around. The Box they had hidden in was on the backend of a carriage. It wasn’t exactly impressive, being a simple wooden carriage with a small sitting area with a roof for the passengers and a bench up front for the driver, every seat being taken up by Monsters too busy taking in the sights to notice them... The carriage had a strange four-wheeled device pulling it. Made with Copper and iron, it looked like a miniature steam engine, Though Frisk didn’t see any actual steam exiting the small nozzle on top. Well, That soon changed as the Machine seemed to come to a stop, as a steam-like substance did come out of it.
The Monsters started looking at each other, as the Driver quickly jumped forwards, grumbling to himself “I told that damn kid to put in ‘nother stone. Stupid little brat.” He leaned towards the machine, opening a hatch. Frisk thought for a few moments, before lifting themselves out of the box, standing in the luggage area before hopping onto the floor. They quickly distanced themself from the carriage, finally taking a proper look at Ebott City for the first time.
A City of Metal, Was Frisk’s first thought. Metalic buildings that reached up to the skies covered the city, connected by bridges and wires. The streets were wide and open, carriages and monsters making their way along in different directions. Posters covered walls in abundance, advertisements covering each other. Near the edge of the city, Frisk was barely able to see a large Clocktower, placed next to some kind of machine emitting constant steam, though they were unable to actually see the device. Frisk wandered about, their eyes wide in amazement as they blindly walked through the street. So blindly in fact, they didn’t notice on oncoming carriage. The driver himself noticed too late, unable to steer the machine in time.
One moment Frisk was walking, and the next moment they felt themselves suddenly get picked up, before promptly being placed onto the sidewalk. They turned around in confusion, lifting their flat cap up as they looked up to the monster who had just picked them up. The face of a goat monster with worry on her face was what met them.
“Child, are you okay?! What were you thinking?!” With a worried voice, the Goat Lady spoke, her eyes darting around for someone, before directing them back at Frisk. “Child Where are your parents, its dangerous to be out here alone.”

DESIGNS UPDATED!
Short and simple is that I finally finished Asgore's idea, AND I've updated nearly everyone's outfit so they aren't just wearing plain clothes.

Okay, New Papyrous outfit description:
Papyrus wears a red formal Shirt with a large brown Pirate coat atop, with formal black trousers too. Atop his head, he wears an aviator hat with aviator goggles. Around his neck, he wears a red scarf.
HOPEFULLY, Its not too similar to any other AUs

Minor thing: Papyrus outfit change. I'm not too happy with his outfit which is kinda basic, which doesn't seem to fit Papyrus. I'm thinking some kind of Aviator bomber jacket or a pirate captain coat.

Over the Steam Character personalities: The Font Family.
Sky/Papyrus: Sky is a loud and proud skeleton, always brimming with positivity and optimism. Despite being somewhat Childish and innocent, Sky can recognise other people’s feelings and situations, often offering help even if they were strangers. He can, at times, be quite full of himself, his ego and confidence causing him to act out and present himself as some kind of larger-than-life figure, going out of his way to do tasks that he either can’t or doesn’t have experience in. But he isn’t a fool, as he’s quite smart with certain subjects such as puzzles and writing. Once he’s learnt something which he enjoys, it sticks like glue.
Unlike most other Papyruses, Sky has reached a degree of popularity due to his writing and puzzle work, which has caused his need for validation and love to be less intense, though it is still an apparent trait of his. Sky is extremely proud of his own efforts, often bragging about his hard work and training to anyone who would listen. However, he does still wish to aim higher, wishing to join the Royal Air Force to be a beacon of adoration and love. However, this isn’t a completely selfish desire as he believes joining the Royal Air Force will allow him to help more people with the popularity it will bring.
Sky has large amounts of faith in himself and other people, Having the “Everyone can be a good person if they try” mentality, though he aims higher than that, believing Everyone can be a great person if they try, and then an ever greater person If they try to improve. He supports everyone he meets, strangers and friends! He’s so steadfast in this belief, he’s willing to put his life on the line. Around his brother in private, Sky tends to be more calm and less boastful.
Copper/Sans: This Sans is similar to his classic canon part in many ways, while still differing. Sans is a lazy, relaxed guy who always seems to have a smile on his face, and not just in the physical sense. He presents himself as an approachable guy, who never seems to get angry and always knows the right thing to say. He loves messing with people, friends or strangers, with harmless pranks and tricks with often child-like ideas, though he never goes too far and always respects the other person’s boundaries.
Copper enjoys hanging out with people and making them laugh, often making either puns or jokes, much to the enjoyment of most people. Though not everything is sunshine and rainbows for the Skeleton. He’s not as apathetic as his canon counterpart due to timelines never being a problem, though he still does have some mindset problems. He has trouble finding passion in life, as he often sees into different universes, wondering if anyone’s actions have true meaning when eventually both humans and monsters will be nothing but dust and every action already has and hasn’t happened.. He keeps these thoughts to himself, being an expert at hiding his own feelings. Even with his depressive thoughts, he still cares about the people around him and supports them. With his the one he supports is his brother, who in return tries to help Sans through his depressive attitude, being one of the few who’s aware.
W.D Gaster: Gaster was once a silent but kind man, someone who used their actions to present themselves instead of words. Having an incredibly creative mind, Gaster wanted to be able to help his fellow monsters while delving deeper into the secrets of the world itself. He had an analytical mindset tempered by his empathy, which allowed him to have a balanced outlook on life. He was cold, but caring. Quiet, but expressive. Confident yet careful. He had an intense curiosity, an almost crippling deserve to unravel reality itself, to crack space in half and peer into the darkness. But, he had always been brought back by his care for his fellow monsters and his friends. He has a strained relationship with his Father
This was before he fell into the core. After Gaster’s accident, His body wasn’t the only thing that had been damaged, his soul too. Clogged up with magical power, It was like Gaster was stuck in a void, a dark, unending reality. It felt as if he could see through the cracks in reality, to watch as worlds rose and fell. He could hear himself, the infinite number of himself that existed in every when and where. A Proud Father, a monstrous doctor, A man who never existed, a kind mother, The unchecked code in reality, the ever-constant non-constant, a whirlwind of nothingness yet everything. It drove the doctor to insanity, and then back to sanity, and then insanity, and once more to sanity, then to insanity, then to a state which was neither yet both. Perhaps he was nothing at all, though he knew that was wrong, for he was everything. Soon the echos of the void became acceptable, became him. He slowly was able to focus. There was no way to judge how he felt because he felt everything yet nothing. A walking contradiction, an error in reality. Perhaps the only thing that remained was his curiosity, which led him to dive deeper into understanding himself.
The third point of Gaster’s personality is after he removed a portion of his soul. He had lost the ability to hear into the void, but its echo forever left a scar on him. This Gaster was much colder and put together than his previous self. Neither inherently kind nor cruel, Gaster swung on the edge of insanity at every moment. One moment the deathly silence of the infinite end to all bombarded his thoughts, the next a possessive need to work. He tried to act normal, to treat others as once before. But that was a certain meaningless to it, a feeling that it didn’t matter, for in the infinite cosmos every action they took was nothing. But if one thing was constant with W.D. Gaster, it was his curiosity. An addiction that was perhaps his one constant.
This curiosity was what allowed Gaster to continue on in the world, to keep himself anchored. His social skills had deteriorated, and he became a mockery of his former self, A stranger in his own bone. He could barely hold a conversation about anything other than facts and theories, his own knowledge. He began to detest talking to others, avoiding conversation to be by himself and his constantly squirming thoughts. Perhaps his most strained relationship was with his “Sons”, the keys to his next experiments. He treated as kindly as a man in his state could, Like objects that needed to be protected. Until they reached a stable age for experimentation, He could not afford them breaking, So he was gentle with them, attending to their needs not out of love, but need. He was neither kind nor cruel, only curious and smart. His actions were planned and thought out, every emotional reaction precise and controlled. Almost like a machine.
Semi Serif/Grandpa Semi: The Grandfather of Sans and Papyrus, Grandpa Semi is the cool old man you’d want to hang out with. He’s kind, groovy and always trying to stay “Hip” with the kids. He’s a bit of a grouch in his old age, always complaining about new trends and weird technology which he doesn’t understand, but he’s never outright rude or angry. He cares about his grandsons very much but doesn’t treat them like babies anymore and encourages them to find their own path in life… Though he can’t help getting worried, so he gave them a job at his own company.
Speaking of work, Grandpa Semi takes his newspaper company very seriously, managing the funding and operations by himself. He believes that society can only function with unbiased truth and hard facts. He has a dislike for the monarchy conceptally and believes the people should hold the power. Even with that, he doesn’t mind the actual rulers as so far they’ve been fine. He loves to joke around, often making some kind of outlandish claim and then following it up with “Well, back in my day!”

Journal Entry #8 X/XX/XXXX
Sans and his Grandfather came over.
They said they wanted to see if Gaster left anything.
I told them that he probably took everything when he first resigned.
But weirdly, Sans insisted.
It wasn't even 10 minutes before they left, something in Sans' pocket.
I'm not going to ask.

Journal Entry #7 XX/XX/XXXX
I showed my new idea to The King and Undyne.
It was good to see her.
The King didn’t seem to like it.
But before he could get a word in, Undyne started talking about how awesome it was.
She said it was perfect and all she needed.
King Asgore seemed…
Disappointed.
But, he agreed.
But why did I hear him mutter something about “More Firepower.”?

Journal Entry #6 XX/XX/XXXX
I’ve finally figured out an idea.
I found more of the Mew Mew Kissy cutie mangas.
And the weapon used by one of the minor villains inspired me.
Professor Bonecrusher or something.
My idea is a giant arm was put on top of the actual arm,
with it being able to punch hard, increase strength and shoot lazers.
I have plenty of experience with prosthetics.
A small magic stone could be used to power it.
I'm certain I can do this.

Journal Entry #5 X/XX/XXXX
I've been distracted all week.
I’m still thinking about the King’s request.
I’ve never made any weapons before.
I don’t even know where to start.
I can’t even imagine making something that could hurt someone.
But…
He’s the King.
He obviously asked this for the best for everyone...
Right?

Journal Entry #4 X/XX/XXXX
I got a surprise visit today.
The King suddenly arrived.
He mentioned something about equipping the Royal Airforce with “Proper Weapons.” He said it was just "preparing for an unfortunate inevitable."
I can understand that not many people are happy with being barred from entering the city.
But...
I don’t like the way his eyes looked away when he said that.
Maybe I'm just overthinking.
I hope so.

Journal Entry #3 XX/XX/XXXX
King ASGORE made an announcement today.
He had lost his children.
He was shaking the whole time.
He banned the entrance of any more humans.
He didn't mention the punishment for one sneaking in, but judging by his face it wasn't a kind fate.
The Royal Guard was transformed into The Royal Airforce.
Which Undyne leads!
I'm happy for her!
But, The King made this change without warning.
I can understand his anger, but...
I just hope he and Queen TORIEL can get through this.

Journal Entry #2 XX/XX/XXXX
Around a month in sky and I'm finally staying in the clocktower full time.
The Clocktower is intimidating but comforting?
It has every kind of book you could imagine, I even found some kind of stylised comic?
This Mew Mew character is so cute!
I remember seeing comics of her around in human cities, But I was always too nervous to buy one...
I wonder if there are more of these comics around.

Journal Entry #1, X/XX/XXXX
The Former Royal Inventor suggested I start keeping a journal, says its important to write down anything that comes to mind.
I don’t think I’ll be using this much.
We’ve been in the sky for a few weeks now.
I’m still getting used to seeing the clouds from so close.

Important Areas in Ebott City
City Centre: A Large circular area which acts as the main Hub of Ebott City. With wide streets that lead down to different areas of the city, it's filled with posters, advertisements, street performers, people showing off their inventions and much more. A fountain sits in the very centre, showing off King Asgore.
Fox Town: A Poor area. Where Toriel, The Soulful Six and many other humans live. Filled with large overbuilt buildings with rusty bridges connecting them. The streets are small and narrow, and most people find climbing and making bridges an easier way to traverse.
“Font and Centre” Newspaper: The Workplace of Sans and Papyrus, owned by Grandpa Semi. Its been in business longer than some monsters have been alive. While not exactly popular, its still a well-respected business.
The Clocktower: A Large Clocktower that rises high into the sky and low into the ground, it's the Royal Inventor’s workplace. Situated near THE CORE and directly on top of the GRAVITY HEART. The surrounding area is blocked off and protected by a subdivision of the Royal Airforce.
The Docks: A Parking Place for Airships and where the Royal Airforce’s main base is. Tall fences block the public part of the docks from the Royal Airforce’s part. Undyne spends most of her days here.
Grillby’s: A large bar situated between the City Centre and the business district. Owned by the Flame elemental Grillby.
The business district: An area for most businesses like shops, stores and such. There are no restaurants though, as those are mainly found in the food district.
The food district: The Area where most of the restaurants are located.
GlamBurger: Glamburger is a business which Mettaton brought with his newfound wealth from sponsors and such. Currently managed by "Burgerpants" after all the competent managers quit.
Nice Cream Shop: A small little Nice Cream Shop run by Nice Cream Guy, With Catty and Bratty being his employees.
Muffet’s Factory: A large factory responsible for processing a lot of Metal brought from the surface, run by the Spider Clan. Muffet is a business-savvy spider who isn’t afraid to exploit and pressure other people, except her workers.
THE CORE: Ebott city's main power source. It's heavily guarded and mostly autonomous, designed to keep most people out.
The Monorail: A large Monorail that goes all over Ebott City, making going from place to place faster.
Mettaton’s Studio: A small Studio near The Clocktower with a large satellite on top. It seems small and cosy.
