Shining Stars and Fiery Hearts (My Home Will Be With You, Always)
It’s incredible to him that they made it here– not because he doubted his kid’s ability, never that, Izuku’s certainly been through enough to make it pro– but because there was a target on his green bean’s back, and everyone knew it.
He was still fucking terrified of waking up one night to a call telling him that his kid was gone. That his Izuku would be dead, that he’d never see the kid’s Cheshire grin or hear his sunshine-laugh or feel his presence in their home ever again.
So no, Aizawa’s not soft, but he can’t help but melt at the sight of them— his boys, all twine-tangled and held tight and so, so happy.
Izuku looks up and grins immediately when he spots him. “Zawa!” he cheers, and the other two boys in their pile lift their heads blearily, eyes blinking open slowly, but no less happy to see him.
Aizawa allows himself a grin to match. It’s for his brat, after all, and nothing could be more important than that.
