John: Why would you do such a stupid thing?
[Y/N]: For two reasons only.
[Y/N]: One, aesthetic.
[Y/N]: Two, spite.
John: *raises eyebrow*
[Y/N]: Fine, I lied.
[Y/N]: Three, attention.

FUCK YOU DISNEY
Anyways, y’all better start saving your fave fanfics and fanart under the Disney labels cause it looks like they’re trying to curb fair use/fanworks and I’m sure there’s going to be mass panicked deletions even though it’s probably unnecessary cause AO3′s legal team will fight for us.

I’ve come to a realization.
There’s this saying in english, “Gay as the day is long.” And that got me thinking…if you measure gayness by the length of the day, does that make the 21st of June, the longest day of the year, the gayest?
And, conversely, does that make the 22nd of December, the shortest day of the year, the least gay?
These are important questions that I believe we all need to ruminate long and hard on.

Hm...
Could you imagine? Loving the hero? Being so deeply in love that you and them are almost never seen apart, often found just silently basking in each other's company.
Could you imagine the nights teasing them over their super suit having a tear right on their ass cheek and they pinch and poke you to try and get you to stop but it's too funny so of course you don't
Sitting on top of roofs staring at the stars, a bag of snacks brought because they're technically still on patrol and can't stay too long but take every moment they can with you.
Watching as they're about to leave before calling them back with a smile to pull their mask back over their eyes before leaving with a kiss.
Could you imagine how wholesome a hero's love is?
But...
Love is a powerful thing even the most pure can grow and change into something else, loving someone doesn't always make someone better, it just shifts their loyalties.
A hero's home depends on them. Relies on the sworn notion that the city is the hero's greatest loyalty. But they love you. They adore you, oh you precious creature how they stare at you in wonder and awe, how they run their fingertips over your skin with such reverence. Loyalties can change. It just so happens that even a hero's loyalty can be tied to their partner first and foremost. Your hero loves you, to the point of desolation.
Who would have ever guessed that though? Certainly not some half wit villain that wanted them to mourn.
When presented with a choice, save the city from a massive bomb that would wipe out at least half of the city itself if not the whole place. Or save you. One small life in the grand scheme.
Hero's have an obligation to cast aside all personal feelings for the greater good. For the best of all involved love, family, friends, home, be damned. You knew this getting into a relationship with them and yet you allowed yourself the silly notion of them choosing you.
Maybe that's why you were so surprised when they refused to listen to the villains almost mandatory monologue. Instead you watched with wide eyes as they shot the villain point blank range without even looking at them. Blood splattered across their face and neck but they never looked away from you.
Instead racing towards you, tearing apart your bindings as though they were nothing, their eyes as warm and loving as always as they took you into their arms and carried you away, getting the hell out of dodge and out of the city. No way would they risk you being harmed by that bomb.
Heroes have an obligation to the city, but you held the hero's heart in your hands, how could you know that doing so would lead to the destruction of your own city?
As soon as you were out of range, you saw the explosions flair, setting off one after the other, consuming the city in fire and destruction and chaos.
All the while they held you close, a gentle smile upon their face and eyes full of love for you and only you. "I'm so glad your safe, precious."
(basically I want a story with a very much hero who falls for some sweet civilian as sweet as them and at the end during the obligatory "mourn your dead partner bc you have to save the city instead of them bc your a hero it's what you do" thing, it looks like they're going to do the same then they just go apeshit. Fuck the city, fuck the people, they're loyal to one person now and that person is going to be safe no matter the cost. Who said heroes have to sacrifice everything? Even better if they forego the hero title and just whole ass switch sides if it means they can protect their loved one without being questioned for it. Still so sweet to them but now will cut a bitch.)

they…. they colonized Spirit
This isn’t just a bad remake or cash grab issues. It doesn’t matter how good or bad this film turns out to be. The very premise of it is deeply at fault. The original Spirit is a film about a horse who couldn’t be tamed bonding with a Lakota man in friendship and mutual respect.
This… no. Just no. Turning it into a young white (oh, i’m sorry, the PR team keeps pointing out she’s ‘half-mexican’) girl saves the wild horses is just awful. Truly disgustingly awful.
There was so much more to Spirit. Spirit was never even really about horse-wranglers being bad. It was about colonization and persecution and attempted erasure of Native American culture. The stripping of freedom. The atrocities committed against native tribes all across America. Spirit being torn from his family, like so many Native families were forcibly torn apart. The way the US soldiers were seeking to break his spirit and tame him so that they could exploit him for profit, as was done to so many Native tribes.
Spirit was never just a horse movie. It was always about so much more.
And they took it and made it into a white girl saves the wild horses from the big bad horse-wranglers movie.
I am genuinely disgusted.

The Path of Loyalty is Paved in Blood
While I enjoy reading Mostly fluff pieces, it seems as though whenever I write it always ends up… a little angsty (mostly with a happy end though, I’m not heartless)
