The Boys!
I will be honest with you: they aren't only my shoes, they are also my pets!
And they aren't only my pets, they are also our new team members!
And finally: they aren't only our new team members, they are also part of our crazy family!
All of them... are my BOYS!

They are awesome!
The idea for these shoes was born in my head a few months ago, a sketch also was made some time ago. Idea was to make them after "Bridals"and show them to the world at Halloween for the first time. But as you already know, the whole idea about "Bridals" changed and evolved...
But let's focus on this project, I didn't share or say even a word about them before, because till the last moment I wasn't sure if I will have enough time to make them. But for the last two weeks in every spare moment I was working on them and finally on this Tuesday, after 22 hours of working with almost non breaks I was going to sleep with an extremely big smile on my face looking at... my new favorite shoes! (when you gonna see the final result you will understand why I so much fell in love with them lol!)
My first idea was to make (similar as with "Lollipops") four stopmotion videos but this time, showing the creation process at first three of them and the final result on the last one. But during making the first chapter I realized that making it this way will longer process so much - that it wouldn't be possible to finish them before Halloween.
However... for this moment shoes are done... three stop motions videos also are done. And of course I will try to make the 4th video and photos that I was planning to make But for this I need to make manicure and pedicure, make some decorations and few other things. So still not sure if it will be possible to make all things that I planned. But this way or another - you will surely see the final result just in the next few days... And from tomorrow day by day you will be able to watch their story.
Leaving you here with this conceptual sketch and I am going to finish and make some last things.
P.S. I just love them! LOL!

Continuation of making 'Bridals'
Because I am working on few things at once progress with 'Bridals' goes little bit slowly. However thing about which I am really happy is that now I am sure that my general conception about them is possible to make. On the photo you can see first fitting of the 'heel'.

Continuation of making shoes.
I decided to cover the shoe elements with synthetic leather, both the 'upper' and 'lower' parts. Due to a recent work overload, it's been challenging to find time for the project, but in my spare moments, I try to make progress with it. The idea related to 'Bridalsa' has evolved a bit, but I'll write about that in the next post. I'm heading back to work now, and I wish you a pleasant day!

Some little furniture story.
As I wrote last time – every craftsman should have own workshop, and every workshop need tools, furnitures and other things that make work possible. Maybe it's not much because it's only a shelf and table, but Bruno seems to be very possitive suprised. Do you see this wonderful happiness smile on his face?
On photos:
No. 1 - final result
No. 2, 3 and 4 - the process of building a shelf
No. 5 - gluing the table top
No. 6 - table and shelf elements during being sanded
No. 7 - elements of the table and shelf just before gluing the last elements together
So now we can record some part of stop motion video, from "shoe creating" process :)

Continuation of making shoes.
Today, I'm continuing the fun with shoes. Initially, I planned to make them white and pink, but I changed my mind, and they will be all white. However, before I start covering them with artificial leather, I need to take a break from working on the shoes for a moment - this time, I want to show the process of creating shoes also on a stop-motion story video.
And to record that, I've decided to build something else - after all, every craftsman should have their own workshop, shouldn't they? :)

Story of a artifical stain.
So... I started by creating an artificial stain. The initial idea was to make it from plaster putty and reinforce it with wires. However, before I began, I decided to change the material and make it from wax instead.
Picture #1 - Almost the final result :)
Picture #2 - Reinforcement wires :D
Picture #3 - The process of pouring additional layers of wax
Picture #4 - The stain before smoothing
Picture #5 - The stain after singeing the edges and surface with a lighter, before painting
The final step was to paint and cover it with clear varnish.
Now it's time to paint my nails orange and start taking pictures :)

Orange Juice!
Due to the extreme lot of tasks to do, I feel that last times I've neglected my Shutterstock and AdobeStock portfolios. I still have old photos to upload there, including manicure and pedicure shots, typical "copy space" images, and conceptual photos.
So, I've decided to do something about it. How? Well, of course, I'm starting from the end - after all, I tend to do things backward most of the time. While going through the photos for uploading, I thought I'd like to make some changes to my stock photography portfolios, add more creative shots. So, the next photo featuring nail polish is supposed to look like nail polish is flowing out of an orange or another citrus fruit. What will come out of it? Who knows, who knows...
Have a great weekend - relax!
And how about me? I'll finally get some work done in peace and quiet because this is probably what I like in the weekends most - peace and quiet - the perfect conditions to work :D
See You later Folks!

Conceptual sketch (:
This time, the general idea is to take fairly loose inspiration from sacred architecture. I haven't decided yet on the material to cover the shoes, how the 'straps' will look, or how many of them there will be. But this is the way I like to work most - when the project evolves along the way :) It's time to turn up the music and get to work.

Work in progress :)
Last days were kinda busy however today finally I found time and start working on new one of a kind shoes. Similar as with previous projects – they don't need to be wearable but looking exactly as I invision them. On the left, shoe "base" before cutting edges and sanding – on the right after cutting and sanding edges. I decided to do it mechanical way by using orbital sander to make it faster.
So how... are You curious about new idea and wanna see conceptual sketch of them? :)

Sketches :)
In my opinion, hand drawn sketches are the fastest method for quickly 'capturing' your ideas and provide the possibility to check if the idea for a photo is good. And most importantly - maybe I will finally learn to draw. Here's a sketch for the 'Pandas' series with the hat in the main role.
Do You recognize some photo here from my photography profile @petitpiedgalbe ? :D

The Lollipops story!
Due to a different way of displaying content on Tumblr, I decided to merge all four clips into one longer video (is anyone surprised that it gave me a certain idea? - but about this gonna tell you with next "one of a kind shoe story"). When I am adding vertically shot (read: wrong orientation) clips, I'm using music libraries from Instagram and Facebook. However, I'm searching for a solution for my own soundtracks so that I could upload videos to any platform with sound right away. I am thinking between Creative Commons and creating my own soundtracks (really lol).
Below is the list of episodes along with links to Instagram and Facebook where they can be viewed with musical accompaniment, as well as the tracks that were chosen for them:
Lollipops part 1/4 "Teamwork attempt!"
Instagram and Facebook "Caravan Palace • Lone Digger"
Lollipops part 2/4 "Masterpiece plan!!"
Instagram and Facebook "Florence + The Machine • Just A Girl"
Lollipops part 3/4 "Photoshoot!"
Instagram and Facebook "Bruce Springsteen • Pink Cadillac (Single B-Side - 1984)"
Lollipops part 4/4 "Grand Premiere!"
Instagram and Facebook "Faithless • Mass Destruction (Single Version)"

Lollipops Concept.
Shoes for International Earth Day were not possible for walking, were not very stable, and a bit too long - but through them, I realized that creating shoes tailored to the concept or theme I want to present in photos would offer much greater possibilities - even if these are shoes only suitable for taking pictures of them, not walking in them.
Shortly after making them, I embarked on creating a new project. The premise was quite simple: it should be pink, it should be sweet, it should be abstract - there should be sweets, there should be lollipops! Because the idea was very spontaneous, I didn't think about taking many photos along the way, I didn't capture the process of making the lollipops themselves, only a few during the creation of the lollipop shoes. The entire process was similar to the previous idea, with all elements hand-painted and covered with clear varnish.
However, what I find most important in this project is the idea that emerged after the shoes were made - to tell their story through stop-motion animation in which our whole team is working on shoe project. These were my first stop-motion films, and I discovered that creating them brings a lot of fun, and the end result is fantastic.
Some of you may have already seen them, but in the upcoming posts, I will share these films with you to keep the entire story chronological and more clear at this profile :)
