Can we speak about The Kiss in GO S2 once again, please?

Niel has said, that

But I have something to add. Of course, this kiss doesn’t change anything in the way Aziraphale and Crowley feel to each other. They ”go back a long time”, we know.

It is not like before the kiss there was No love, and after the kiss there suddenly IS Love.

But I want to tell you about my personal feelings concerning this matter. Everyone has seen “Love actually” movie, I believe. The main idea of which was that love is actually everywhere. We love our parents, siblings, children, friends etc.

So I have an example. There is a person, whom I have known for many years. I know the slightest shades of her voice. I know when she is lying, when she is nervous or happy. I’m there for her when she needs any help, no matter how far she is or how late it is. We share our secrets even the most dreadfull, of which no one else in the world knows. We enjoy each others company.

What would you say about our relationships?

This is Love, isn’t it?

Are you ready: this person is my sister. And I feel almost the same for a couple of my best friends.

And I can say absolutely the same things about another person. Adding that she is the WORLD to me.

Who is it? It is my little daughter. And if I had lot’s more children, I would feel the same for them too.

And then… there is my Husband. And He is the One.

Do you see what I mean? The difference.

When I first watched GO season 1 I was like, Oh my God, this two angels. I feel like they are really in love with each other. I remember reading different scenes analyses and people who where saying that they are not just friends but ineffable husbands.

In season one we had hints and theories only. In season two we saw much more care, tenderness and intimacy. But still no proofs. They did not even live together, while they had all the chances and even necessity to do this, since Crowley was actually homeless. But what did we see instead. The lack of trust on Crowley’s part, because he never even mentioned that fact to Aziraphale.

They still did not know what are they to each other. And if they didn’t, how can we be sure of anything.

So I personally needed this awkward Kiss. Because it finally ment: You are the One for me. Not the loveliest member of ethereal immortal community, not my best friend and even not the best part of the world I love. You are the one and only for me in the whole world .

This Kiss is the end of Crowley’s phrase, which he couldn’t pronouns: “I would Like to spend… the rest of my existence with you”.
