Happy 4th of July! Friendly reminder that, in the USA, fireworks release over 60 thousand tons of CO2 anually. Also that all throughout July– though mostly on the 4th and dates surrounding it–, an increasing number of people are sent to the doctor over firework-related incidents. Not to mention how fireworks are substantial pollutants to the air, water, and general natural environment.

imma be completely open rn, i've been keeping a semi-active sideblog during almost the entirety of my hiatus? well. like. i went on hiatus, thought that i was genuinely done with tumblr, after a few weeks realized i wasn't actually genuinely done, starting irregularly posting on that sideblog, have been on-and-off active on it since then.

then i think abt how i have genuine friends and people who care about me who only know me thru this blog, except this blog isn't me anymore and a tiny tiny part of me thinks that if i do come back certain people won't like the newer me? like ik i've been gone long enough we probably would've grown apart but insecurities yanno etc etc

aside from that, i don't really have a reason that i can conceptualize for why part of me just wants to. abandon this blog i spose. commitment issues maybe? (he half-jokes, fully aware that yeah he has commitment issues and that this has happened before) either way, it's already happened where this blog doesn't feel like mine anymore-- it doesn't feel like anyone's

i'm gonna leave the blog up as an archive, though, at the very least. sorry to get maybe depressing all of the sudden but the people who do care at least deserve to know

I love how the rumor of Voltron Season 9 started spreading and instead of being optimistic redemption-seeking nerds, we all collectively and emphatically said ‘kill it with fire’.

I love it when people try to claim representation in fiction is being taken “too far” to the point where it’s no believable. They’re like:

And then he was forcibly outted to the public and now every fucking day he’s fighting for his life against white supremacists and the Christian church. He’s only 22.
