"I don’t know why, but I always kept the wrist irons on in my Oblivion games. It just made me feel cool to have them on."

"Before the Purification of the Dark Brotherhood Cheydinhal Sanctuary, my Redguard accepted the Dark Gift from Vicente Valtieri and fed on every single member while they slept, so she’d always have a piece of them with her. She also kept the Dark Gift to remind her of her old friend."

"When I was little I refused to walk by a begged without giving them money. I felt bad. Every time. I never killed one in my entire game experience.  I killed off entire towns for fun. Excluded them. One time I sat there giving a begger woman a single coin 100-something times so she could pay for the cure disease potion so she could get well. "

"When I first played Oblivion years ago, I thought that you could just kill any guy and claim his house. Funny enough, the guy I killed was Baenlin, who you already had to kill for the Dark Brotherhood If you joined."

"Whenever I go back and play the shivering isles dlc, I always wonder what would happen if I tried to bubblewrap and cover Sheogorath up in protective gear."

"I always loved the quest for the dark brotherhood in which you would loosen the fastenings of the minotaur head to kill your target. Its little things like this which make oblivion better then skyrim for me! Im unsure if this is nostalgia though. :L"

"I wish I didn’t panic and get a raised heartbeat when the guards shout at me for breaking the law, and I really want to get over that as soon as possible as it makes me actively put off the db and thieves guild quests, and as I’m a incorrigible completionist that not doing them seems kinda pointless."

"Well, I accidentally read spoilers for the end of the main quest, discovering that Martin dies. It's my first playthrough and I refuse to finish it, instead I do the side quests, returning to Cloud Ruler to see Martin every now-and-again. I have a major crush on him, and so I like to think that Martin worries when my character spends too long away."

"It bothers me to no end that I received a fancy statue and got hailed as Hero and Savior, while there was no trace whatsoever of the anonymous NPCs who died to stop the Mythic Dawn. Therefore, I retrieved a shield and cuirass of one fallen watchman from each of the Allied Cities, as well as one Imperial Guard and one Blade, hauled them all to Arborwatch and put together a makeshift memorial room. I arranged them all under a painting, that they may forever look upon the landscape they fought to protect, unblighted by any damned Oblivion Gate."

"The first time I slept in my house in Anvil was also the first time Lucien Lachance visited me. I was so irritated that he didn’t help with the ghosts that I ignored the Dark Brotherhood until I had finished both the Thieves’ Guild and most of the Daedric quests."

"The first time I played Oblivion and I had no idea where everything was and how everything worked, I played through the first part of the Dark Brotherhood-quests thinking M'raaj-Dar was the traitor. It didn’t help that he started acting nice to me before the Purification. I thought he wanted to save his own skin by befriending me! Too bad he was wrong… And so was I."

"I played Skyrim before Oblivion, and despite being the older game, I love Oblivion so much more. Skyrim always just feels so dead. Oblivion had the perfect aesthetic, I love the green of the forests, and all the towns and houses feel so safe and cosy."
