🐛These horse chestnut trees from conkers i picked up from the cemetary where my nan is buried..theres 6 also planted out alongside poors piece and some at war camp
🐛 a wild ass mix of beans and peas with seeds and beans from an activist friend in london Had a handful of fresh peas with my brekky every day this week woweeeee
🐛leeks from a fella who walks by with his dog some days, also peppers and chillis someone from steeple claydon started off for us in their greenhouse, had to build a lil frame to keep them warm! (Im allergic to some bits of peppers but im excited to share the goods)
🐛 an assortment of courgettes and marrows and maybe pumpkins? The labels fell off and some are still babbies so time will tell..
🐛 sooooo many tomatoes. Probably my fav thing to grow. Grabbed a couple of different varieties from a pal who is growing lots of dif varieties of plants down in cornwall
🐛 beetroot! The bit in the ground hasn't done so well..but the leaves and stems and delicious steamed with a bit of nutmeg..also about to have a load of seeds for round two
🐛 "weeds" lol. Been drinking a whole lot of camomile tea
🐛 thyme, rosemary, chives, just planted some coriander and parsley seeds but they were a few years out of date so mot sure if theyll grow..a few other random herbs
🐛 stawberries... the raspberries didnt do so good, also about to have a hedgerow full of elder and blackberries right by camp!
🐛 purple potatoes and onions (hail binderella) and purple carrots !!
🐛 BORAGE and other salady bits, 3/4 my cabbages are still mostly alive too
🐛Corb On The Orb (corn) although they're being v slow.. theyre in pots but the plan was to plant them as a windbreak as this corner of the field gets battered on windy days.. the mice kept nibbling the seeds so 3rd time lucky! (Same with my sunflowers which i am gutted about because i have grown sunflowes every year except this year and theyre my favourite plant they're so tall and handsome)
🐛 big love to folks from jones hill wood for digging a moat in the pissing rain, i promise i won't forget u when our food systems collapse in 6 months time and we all go back to eating berries and nuts xx
Stunbled on a pigeon nesting in one of the defensive towers at poors piece! She aeema used to us but best leave her be until she is done raising babies.
