personal update:
thank you to everyone who's had the grace and the kindness to message me and send me sweet asks, and even if i haven't answered them just know that i read everything i receive and you truly all make my day. (minus the hatemail. i hope you get tendonitis. and then fall off a cliff. either order works.)
i'm doing well on a personal level (just finished finals!!!) so i'll be grinding out as much of nawf as i can! hopefully it'll be out in january. knock on wood. i'm also here once again to put out a reminder that palestine still needs all the attention and support it can get. please, please contact your reps locally, boost the words of people living there, and please just keep them in your hearts. don't look away.

hey guys, long time no talk. so i know a lot of you are most likely (probably not) still sticking around for the chapter 1 release, and while i have been working on it, there's something far more important i'm writing to you about today.
one of my friends was palestinian, she lived gaza, was born there, and lived there her entire life. she was seventeen, her name was noor, she liked baking pastries and making handicrafts. she loved reading, she loved her cat, she loved watching anime, and she'd spend hours upon hours analyzing her favorite characters and writing fic. she was eager to attend university next year to study biology to document native flora.
since i*rael has enacted a sanctioned genocide against the people of palestine she had updated me and her friends nearly every day on her continued survival. this past week she had gone entirely silent and after nearly six days of asking everyone i could i finally learned from her sister that she passed away after being struck by rubble from an explosion.
she would've survived had she received medical attention.
with the permission of her family, i am sharing her story with my followers to ask you to press your reps and lawmakers for a ceasefire. what happened to her was a preventable tragedy, and her blood is on the hands of everyone who not only continues to support this war but those who turn a blind eye to it.
noor was beloved and she will be dearly missed, please never forget her name and her humanity. the rage and sorrow i feel at her loss cannot be measured up to the rage and sorrow of the people who are suffering to this day and i pray that within my lifetime, their lifetime we see a free palestine.

LARKIN has been updated with new routes!
hello all and happy update day <3 been a minute since i've posted a progress update/dev-log so let's go through everything that's new with this update + what i've been working on in the time i've been gone!
first off, let's discuss the new stuff. you can play the update here. it's about 10k words long, with around 2k of player interaction per play through. in it you get to spend a lot of time with nash, play some cards and find out either more about him or yourself! after that, talk to some townies and maybe play some cards >:) aside from content, I've done some major bug fixes that I'll drop at the bottom of this update. For the moment stats are still under construction with some of the other top-bar menu items.
okie-dokie that out of the way let's talk a lot about what else I've been doing throughout the months of april/may. for the most part honestly I've been focusing on patreon work. I put together physical rewards with the help of @fiddles-ifs and bree gilliam that'll be shipping out to patrons $5 and above come july 1st—with that i've made stickers and postcards that i'm so excited to send out. after that I did alot of like marketing stuff and expanding! i've been working a lot with my new assistant phillip on putting together materials for other social media sites and producing content for patreon. speaking of which tomorrow comes the next part of the wyatt series i'm dropping on there tomorrow!
writing wise, i've been focusing primarily on two things. alpha revising and planning. come july i'm hoping to launch a completely new version of the game on patreon, calling that the 'alpha' version of the game—this is a more final version of the product—meanwhile, I'll be continuosly updating the public / draft version for you all to play. the next update is coming really close to the end of the demo!!! I'm so excited for us to finally get there =0
the next public update will be coming at you friday, july 21st!

those of you who have followed me for a while may have noticed that i took quite an extended absence from tumblr and i've been a bit cagey about why that is. i have been trying to be more thoughtful about the parts of myself i share with strangers on the internet, mostly as a way to guard against people who aren't very nice.
all of that being said, i've just finished my entry for the neo-twiny jam and i think the reason will be pretty obvious for everyone who plays it: i had a baby! (congratulations to me etc etc).
coming in at 494 words, this project has been a really cathartic opportunity to reflect concisely on one of the best and hardest things i've ever done.
with that, i hope you enjoy nine months out.

I just finished reading the prologue and it really is something. I really loved it. It was so oddly beautiful, I wish I was more eloquent so I could fully describe it. Very melancholic but almost optimistic, especially near the end with the floats and the fact you're never alone. Gah. Someone better at words try this. Point is it was amazing. Had to write something.
