Y'all. Mark's been on the internet long enough to know. He's been a public figure for a long time. He knows. He was clearly making a joke about it or else he wouldn't have made it a meme. Obviously it's uncomfy for everyone involved but there was no reason to bully someone off the platform. (There's never a reason for something so trivial as this, actually, but I digress.)
I think the thing to take from this is to literally just be nice. People make mistakes. Sometimes embarrassing ones. But that's okay. Mark made a joke out of it. We should have done the same.
It's done now. Next time, let's do better.

Look, I hate to be that person, but for the people expressing disappointment in Mark for reblogging smut he's tagged in, smut mind you that is in a public tag full of minors, .... What do you expect? That's incredibly uncomfortable to come across. Despite your best intentions the most you could have done to avoid this is add an extra character in the markiplier tag so it doesn't show up.
No the OP doesn't deserve back lash, but you have to consider the foresight there should have been. Banking on him not cruising the tags often is not a safe option. Just tag your work appropriately; if not to keep it away from his or any IRL individuals eyes, but especially from minors.

Geez, guys. Harassment and death threats are never okay. I’m pretty sure Mark reblogged that post for a laugh. I thought it was funny too but you don’t have to go feral and send hate to the OP.
And don’t try to pawn off blame by saying “Mark started it with that reblog” or that OP was “asking for it.” YOU are the ones choosing to be jerks about it.
