i’m obsessed with the parallels between optimus and elita in the newest skybound chapter.
these panels are everything
both ultra magnus and jetfire want to finally be put to rest and yet optimus and elita both refuse to allow them to be able to out of selfishness (whether it can be justified or not).
but in these moments they both still offer magnus and jetfire comfort
skybound really showcases both elita and optimus’ need to be ruthless in war as leaders, doing whatever they must, juxtaposed with their kindness and compassion underneath.
