people are so quick to judge. it is so annoying.
so, i recently got into football (yes, thank you Taylor) and i really enjoy it. i enjoy the game and analyzing it alot. i enjoy talking about all aspects.
anyhow, i was at a craft fair yesterday and someone had football crafts in all the different teams and i got talking about the Chiefs and the game we had just won that morning. the gentleman running the booth was not a Chiefs fan and brought up last week's horrid loss to the Broncos.
he was all, 'you'll talk about the wins but you won't talk about the losses'
i was like, 'uh no, let me tell you about how bad we were and what went wrong and how we can do better.'
like, i am going to talk about the most recent game because that is what is fresh in my mind but i will talk about a loss if you really want me too. if you take joy in an injury on my team, i will agree with a shrug because i know it is better for you but taking joy in someone's injuries are wierd af. i also do cheer on 4 teams and that doesn't make me a fake football fan. i get to have more fun because i have more stakes in the game.
stop assuming things about people. let people have fun.

i know people watch this blog, so this is for you.
how does it feel to know that you have hurt someone so much that they have given up any online presence? that they no longer feel comfortable sharing ANYTHING because you turn EVERYTHING into something negative. that you take every single fucking opportunity to demean them and their life. that you are so fucking miserable that you had to spread your miserablness to someone you claim to love and care for.
you don't love him. you might have at one time but you cannot seriously believe you still do. when you can take a picture that has zero to do with something yet make it all about it? that is just an ugly obsession fueled by hate.
i hope the events he has coming up refresh him. that he is able to connect with people who care and remind him that he is so much better than you will ever be. i hope that you aren't there because if you are that is just cruel.
i hate you. you make me sad even when i ignore you because you hurt someone that i care about. i hope that you come to see the horribliness of your pasttime sooner rather than later and that you leave him alone. he doesn't need you.
to treat someone who has already been what he's been through the way you have is so cruel and mean and low. you call his life toxic but don't seem to realize that you are the real toxicity.

i am just going through these squares. it is so fun. this square was "new (to you) pairing". i chose Nick and Charlie from heartstopper. i am not new to the fandom and have read some Joe/Bash RPF but i have never read actual heartstopper fic. so, i thought i would give it a try. this was a heartwtenchingly beautiful piece. Charlie's struggles with his mother felt so familiar to me and i really felt for him. i can only dream of having the relationship Nick had with his mother in this but the writer did so well that i could literally picture Olivia Coleman as i was reading it. you should definitely check this out of you like childhood friends to lovers, heartstopper and easy reads.

Square three of my summer reading challenge for @ficreadingchallenge was too easy. I like to read in the bath, so i thought i'd pick an easy square for a quick read. i found this Sterek secret relationship fic so quickly. the premise is so adorable and funny. the fic itself is sweet and well-paced. it is not a slow burn in the least. just a quick little get together fic and the trickiness of keeping things a secret while realizing how in love they really are. i loved it alot and will definitely be coming back to it to read again.

OMG. i completed square two for my @ficreadingchallenge 's summer challenge and it was SOOO difficult. i have a really tough time with podfics because i get distracted easily. i didn't want to cheat and pick something really short though. so, i was nice to myself and picked this one, which was about 1 hour and i was actually able to do it at work.
Love, David was an absolutely adorable story. It is Schitt's Creek fanfiction and both well-written and well-read. it's a lot of angst with a happy ending. i loved it alot and i think you will too!

I highly recommend that you watch Deadloch on Amazon Prime! It's billed as a comedy, but it's really a murder mystery cop buddy show with lots and lots of lesbians.

Yeah, if she were a friend she would get into his 'happier' tiktok. May be she's Julia's acquaintance though. And Omar does have a resting bitch face - he told once in the interview that people often consider him angry and intimidating. But still her close insistent presence seemed to bother him
oh for sure. but i don't think she's Julia's friend to be quite honest. i think Julia was just vibing and she happened to catch in her in her video because she was just going with the flow, if that makes sense. also, yeah, i can def see his resting bitch face but his face got noticiably more sour as Wilnur's videos progressed.

i strongly believe they didn't because Omar really has zero poker face. i think she was a fan who saw an opportunity to 'hang out' with someone she was a fan of and she didn't think before she did so. she kept getting in the middle of things and you can watch Omar's face just get a little bitchier as the stories progress. he was clearly there with Nurbo and Wilnur and Julia and that girl probably made that half hour very not fun for him. like, he's a real person, not someone for you to decide to hang out sith because you wanna be cool.
the trolls are all fussing about Lara being in front of them on day 3 and she was fine. she didn't try to get in their space or interrupt their time. she was doing the appropriate fannish thing. having fun being close without invading. but i have seen not a word about this obvious interloper and it bothers me so much!

OMG did you see the Omar & Amanda as well as the Omar&Oscar crumbs from Lollapalooza? So cute
i did see Omar and Amanda but tbh, i think for a couple reasons, the reunion wasn't super joyful. like, Amanda and Omar got nowhere near each other but also there was this one girl (not related to Amanda or anything) that i think already had Omar on edge. it was so cool for them to hang out a bit and Wilnur looked happy to see her!
the Omar and Oscar was sooooo cute. i adore that the fooo boys seem to still really love and respect each other. one of the most amicable boyband breakups i have ever seen.

so, i saw this a couple of days ago and decided that i had to try it. it is a summer reading chllanege being run by @ficreadingchallenge that is easy and low pressure. it is meant to get you exploring different fics and interacting with the authors. that is why i am really trying it. i have been reading fanfic for almost 23 years but i am an AWFUL commenter. i always think that the author won't want my silly little thank you or whatever, so i have avoided it. i am trying hard not to do that anymore and this challenge shall help.
i have also decided that i am trying for a blackout bingo! i am going to do all 24 challenges and i am going to make the 25th challenge to start reading a SMAU as i hate them and have a lot of trouble reading them. i normally stick to only reading on AO3.
the makers seem to still be handing out cards if you want one, so i suggest grabbing one.
anyways, onto telling you about the first square i filled.
i took this challenge very seriously and decided to start with finding a fandom with less than 1000 fics. this task was both easier and harder than you would think. i didn't want to pick a random fic so although there were dozens upon dozens of fandoms with very few fics, i had to first find something i was comfortable enough with to know the characters.
i stumbled upon Robin Hood: Prince of Theives and it's 73 fics. it is one of my favorite movies and i know it well, so i felt that it was perfect to dive into. i ended up finding two fics. one relatively new general one and then a much longer, also gen fic, that actaully got added to my tbr list. i point out that they are gen fics because i don't usually read gen. i was actually looking for something slightly incesteous between Robin/Will that explored their pasts and how they came together.
instead i read Beside The Waterfall. it was a short and sweet fic which touches on events that would have taken place after the movie's end. things i have always been curious about. it was well written and sweet and i think it captured Marion, Will and Azeem's characters perfectly. i think Robin was slightly OOC but not enough to jar you from the story. if you are looking for something quick and adorable, this is a great choice. especially if you are familiar with the film. if you are, it really will tug your heartstrings a little and make you wish for more.

Dungeons & Dragons AU. Friends to lovers.
Ayub is the dungeon master, Simon is a bard, and Rosh is a barbarian. Sara was a druid, but she doesn't want to play anymore. Simon says the game is way more fun with four people, so his schoolmate Wille agrees to join their campaign, taking the bus to Bjärstad on Saturdays.
Wille plays a paladin, and he has no idea what he's doing. But he discovers that it's surprisingly a lot of fun to escape into a fantasy world for awhile, and he gets really into it.
But wait...is it Wille's imagination, or is Simon flirting with him? No. No way, obviously that's just his character. He does have 15 points in charisma after all.
One day after a brutal battle with some orcs, the party travels to a village to rest and stock up on supplies.
"You enter the inn and speak to the innkeeper," Ayub narrates. "She says you're in luck, there is one room available. You follow her upstairs. She brings you to a modest room, with a bed, a wooden chest of drawers, and a small window."
"One bed?" asks Wilhelm.
"Yup."
"How big is the bed?" asks Simon.
"It's small. Like, a bit smaller than your bed," says Ayub. Wille looks down at Simon's bed. They're sitting on opposite ends of it, and Ayub and Rosh are in chairs. They're sitting around a small table covered with character sheets, dice, and bowls of snacks.
"I don't need a bed. I'm gonna go check out the tavern, I'll see you guys in the morning," Rosh says, and goes to the kitchen for more sodas.
"I can sleep on the floor," offers Wilhelm.
"Don't be ridiculous. There's room for both of us," Simon insists.
"Oh-okay. I, uh, lie down on the bed," says Wilhelm.
"You're gonna keep your bloody clothes on? We just slaughtered twenty orcs, we're like drenched in blood, right, Ayub?"
"Yeah, I guess you would be."
"Okay, so. We don't have any extra clothes... Should we find a shop to buy new ones, or...?"
"Wille, no, we can't risk that. You only have two hit points, what if we get attacked in town? We need to rest now. Just take off your clothes and get in bed with me."
Wille gulps. "Okay." He makes brief eye contact with Simon and then quickly looks away. He looks at Ayub, who's smirking. "I take off my armor and uh, everything else I'm wearing, and I uh, lie down. On the bed." He looks hesitantly at Simon, whose expression has definitely changed. His eyes are trailing over Wille's body and he looks kinda...seductive? He's just getting into character.
Simon meets Wille's eyes again. "I slowly remove my--"
"I'm gonna go check on Rosh, she's been in the kitchen for a while," Ayub suddenly blurts out while rising to his feet.
When Ayub is gone, Simon scoots closer to Wille on the bed. "I slowly remove my armor...my boots...my cloak...my shirt...my pants...and I lie down next to you." He actually lies down. He's really good at roleplaying. Wille takes his cue and lies down too. They're facing each other.
"Wille?"
"Yeah?" Why is Simon staring at his lips?
"Can I kiss you?"
"Uhh...Shouldn't we wait for Ayub to come back? Like he's the DM, I don't want him to miss anything. Do you have to roll to see if your character can kiss mine, or...?"
"Wille," Simon closes his eyes and shakes his head. "I'm not playing anymore. I'm asking you. Not my character. Do you get it?"
