The film is complete with a well executed storyline, action and plenty of suspense. The film flows nicely from one scene to the next. The music soundtrack is a perfect fit for this film. It enhances the watching experience. The director (Stephen Mitchell) use of the color "Red" sparingly, certainly adds the "pop" to the scenes. The dialogue between the main characters Nico (Pry'ce James) and Ross (Shane Lewis) is believable and left me wanting to know more. - Perhaps another film? Virginia City Hillclimb: Over the years, I owned two dozen or more Corvettes. I participated in the Virginia City Hillclimb in a 454 Corvette like the one in this photograph with extremely loud side pipes . It was a very heavy car--some 1200 pounds heavier than a GTO--with most of its weight up front. I did only one run without any practice and managed a time of 4 minutes, 45 seconds with an average speed of 61.3 mph. In comparison, Claudio Zampolli (who would later create the well-known Cizeta--Italian for CZ, his initials--supercar) managed the same distance in my former GTO in 3 minutes, 57 seconds with an average speed of 74.0 mph. Fastest Time of the Day was set by George Dyer Jr in another GTO (#4219) clocking 3 minutes, 37 seconds and averaging 80.4 mph. It was a memorable event. My sisters and I were taken care of by an older woman named May who had been with our family in Arizona where my sisters were born and where our mother passed away a month after their birth on Christmas eve. When my father moved back to Los Angeles, May came with us and took on the task of keeping house for a widow, his two-year-old son and twin newborns. I cannot imagine what a task that must have been for her. One of my earliest memories is taking a sleeper train with my sisters and May to visit her family in Phoenix. I don't know how long we were there--probably a week--but I remember it was fun. Years later, my father married and May stayed with us for a time but eventually returned to her family in Phoenix. When she passed away, my father and I drove back for the funeral. We took my Berlinetta Lusso. Road construction on the San Bernardino Freeway slowed our departure from Los Angeles and it was clear that, unless extraordinary measures were taken, we would be late for the funeral. I picked up the pace and as we traveled at about twice the speed of the flow of traffic, my father watched over his shoulder for Highway Patrol cruisers that made a habit of parking on freeway on-ramps looking for speeders. He only had me slow a couple of times but for the rest of the trip, we moved along at a serious pace as I watched the road and my father watched for law enforcement while the Ferrari V12 provided musical accompaniment. As luck would have it, we made it to the funeral without incident and on time. As fortune would have it, we arrived just as the funeral was ending for neither of us had taken into account the time zone change between Los Angeles and Phoenix. We went to the reception with May's family and shared loving stories about her. I remembered standing in our kitchen at about age 3 or 4 with the radio playing the country and western music she liked so much and asked, "Are you our mother?"
