Another fun thing I do with customers - specifically parents of very small children who don’t know they’re alive yet - is directly imply I think the coffee is for the baby, not the parent. and lemme tell you, like 70% of parents eat that shit up. They immediately go along with the bit and start discussing it with their newborn child, while the baby just stares at us like 😮
#ain't a fan of kids but these interactions are precious#always makes my day#no coffee for the lil gremlins#the instant grabby hands despite not knowing is just superb

I never even thought about combining glasswork with book binding, might have created a monster... it's gorgeous >:D
It’s done!!!
There are some rough edges and the spiral isn’t perfectly smooth (also the gold paint is already peeling from the front cover, but that’s what I get for using plastic as a base), but it’s definitely usable and it looks awesome. Considering I’ve literally never done this before, I’m really happy with the results.

Current WIP of yet another of my Inkies; egg lover edition babyyy
(Possible Spoilers Below)
My Knight-Enchanter Lavellan! Era’Inan (or Era for short) was my 3rd Inky, and first mage :D
Messing around with prosthetic concepts and how that plays into her mage-blade has been a fun exercise so far. Am I totally happy with it? Nah, but that’s a future-me problem. And tbh, roughing out prosthetic concepts for my differently-classed Inkies is much more fun.
Hoping to fully replay her story (flesh her out further, fix her appearance in-game, not skip Bull’s Big Important Quest, etc) before Dreadwolf comes out, maybe even use a custom world-state this time for funsies. Just gotta escape the Hinterlands, and it’ll be smooth sailing, lmao :’]

btw with art when people say 'youve got to do it scared' 'youve got to draw bad' 'youre not gonna know how to do it until you do it' it sounds like bullshit but its true. 90% of art is just getting over the fear that it's not going to be good enough to deserve to be made in the first place. but you're here. you're alive and, with no need to justify that, you're going to make art. it's just part of being alive. you'll spend so long worrying you aren't doing it good enough that you'll look back and realized you didn't live a single day of it.

Chaos doodle I turned into lighting practice… we love a lil arson up in Kirkwall, aye? Alec was so much fun to play, and purple hawke is a blast.
On my second play thru now as Male!Mage, and not being able to lock pick or see traps is (literally at times) killing me. Fist of the Maker *slaps* though, pun intended…. Will have to draw him sometime, hhhh :’D

Spent a few hours redrawing an old piece for New Years- love my qunari inky sm, she deserved a rework <3

This year’s been iffy for motivation, but it’s projects like this that get me out of that rut, no matter how deep I’ve dug it. Even just learning to use blurred images for backgrounds has helped *so* much it ain’t even funny. Idk, I love seeing myself/others pick up tidbits and skills as time passes, and only notice when looking back at older works. Gives me the motivation to keep going, and proof that I’m improving (younger me would be amazed, and I live for that tbh).
