I love reasonable, intelligent people that can make me laugh. Huge fan of love, music & Harry Styles. 'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure...Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and FABULOUS? Actually, who are you not to be?' Marianne Williamson
“In short, Styles’ accessibility exists on a different plain than most pop stars, which makes his aesthetic choices even more interesting. Under the umbrella of high-end labels, he experiments with fit and print and gender norms, and incorporates his past with his present which gives anybody following to do the same. His clothing, like his music, tells a story. He is the amalgamation of selves, one print and blouse at a time. He isn’t the fruits of a stylist, trying to get their client the role as Bond.”
wild vsfs concept: no models….no other artists….just harry….. just harry trying on different clothes…..just harry singing….. it’s a harry styles show now
in the virginia legislature, a trans woman named Danica Roem just defeated the man who wrote that gross bathroom bill. that’s how history works and that’s why elections matter. SO proud of every single one of you who voted today.
apparently e.l. james called former child star mara wilson (matilda) a “sad fuck” for critiquing the 50shades books a while ago and now there’s a feud. i love it.
heavydirtye: had a completely lovely evening with @harrystyles and amazing cameron crowe at the grammy museum. looking forward to harry on wednesday at the greek!
dmartinproducer: Harry Styles was incredible. The stories behind his new record makes you want to lock the studio doors and not come out until you have something you’re excited to show. If you haven’t heard his new record you should.
I’ve truly had enough of people comparing Beyoncé to these girls that were playing hopscotch on the playground while she was hustling and working with legends. She’s been working for 20 years and ppl have the nerve to compare her to people who were nobodies less than 10 years ago. She never stepped away or took a break, she’s literally been working for 20 years straight (“since 15 in my stilettos”??????). She’s been praised by/or worked with Prince, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Patti Labelle, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, ALL of the legends…and Aretha don’t like nobody!!! Yet she’s still being compared to these teeny boppers and it makes no sense to me. Crazy in Love, Single Ladies, Formation all impacted the culture, Red Lobster’s fuckin stock went up after Formation came out…her influence is unmatched. Beyoncé is the physical embodiment of the “work twice as hard…” saying. Except she’s working three and four times as hard and is still having herself and pieces of her diverse catalog compared to the likes of Taylor Swift and her never ending teenage diary. It makes zero sense to me.
I think what people don't realise is that there is a difference between speculating on what you'd love to get from Harry and being an armchair industry 'expert' predicting doom and gloom because the decisions don't match up with your own. All of it seems especially strange when so far Harry and his team have given us so much amazing content - doing things we never expected. Besides, there is a lot invested in Harry, and he's bloody savvy too, no need for micromanaging from the peanut gallery ;)
i mean, he pretty much did every single thing i wanted, checked every damn box, i guess my only other goal would be for him to host snl sometime, so im satisfied.
I dunno what ppl want from him? When he gets accolades, they're unearned and too soon. When he isn't doing anything, he's lazy. When he's promoting, it's boring. Color me stupid but if those things leave you wanting or you find yourself less than interested, then perhaps it means your interest is waning. There's no law that says you're married to Harry. You're free to dive into other dabfons, explore other interests, and check in when piqued. I feel as if ppl treat SM fandom like a 1/2
2/2 customer complaint desk. Meaning if fans voice their displeasure loudly and often enough, their fave artist will course correct just like target will course correct when they read enough complaints on twitter. In some ways, that strategy can work. However, Harry and any other artist isn’t a product that we can customize on demand. Your power isn’t in your ability to change him. It’s in your ability to walk away and find something or someone else who brings you joy.
