I HAD A FIC IDEA vol #12
Peter and tony fight some robot, straight out of a night terror. Once the blood is spilled and the machine is detained, Tony wants to study it. Despite the fact that the nightmare-ish thing has almost killed him.
Peter asks tony to get rid of it, dismantle it as soon as possible, since
a) it almost killed Tony
b) he is simply terrified of it's devilish appearance.
Tony lets out a sound Peter perceives as an approving "mhm".
Tony doesn't get dismantle the robot.
Peter's sense doesn't stop tingling
#taken from one of my old ideas i once posted somewhere else#i have an entire description of this robot ready. ive found out that i actually love writing horror#i didnt include it though since i dont have a way to censor it#i believe this has a lot of angst potential#both sides have their own reasonings. Peter might had not mentioned to tony how much the creature scared him.#then tonys actions suddently are about “i would only hurt myself” instead of “it could hurt peter”#iron dad#peter parker#spider son#irondad and spiderson#spider man#marvel#spiderman

I like the irondad dynamic. i really do. but i think it’s EXTRA great if it’s an AU where Peter reeallyyyy dosnt like tony at first. Believes all the media stuff, dosnt see through the persona or anything. but he hides it for the sake of tech and so May can stop worrying about money and because Peter is just so bored he is happy to work towards ANH sort of goal.
But peter hides his dislike of Stark. He has to, to keep working with him. Plus, Peter doesn’t trust Stark and Stark knows his identity… better to stay in his good side. so they work together. for a while.
and slowly, peter starts to actually appreciate Tony. His sarcastic remarks go from snark to sass. His use of “Mister Stark” goes from an attempt to distance himself from tony to an affectionate name. He starts going to Tony for advice, not as an act but because he actually wants to hear Tony’s perspective.
Irondad but Peter only begrudgingly teams up at first. and then over time actually gets to know the REAL tony.

Yk how everyone knows who iron man is and nobody knows who spider-man is. What if it was the other way around. Everyone knows Peter is spider man. everyone knows spider-man is a teenager. and so when Iron Man starts hanging around the spider-kid some, people think iron-man is probably a teenager too.
and tony gets sooooo annoyed by it

Spider-Man: Hi folks! I’d like to give a PSA to my usual villains, and anyone else with ideas for the next two months.
Spider-Man: *holds up a brick sized lump of metal* See this? It’s titanium!
Spider-Man: *starts flattening it out and shaping it*
Spider-Man: See, we all know that I’m crazy strong, but I never wanna really hurt anybody right? Right. While that hasn’t changed, something very important does right around this time of year.
Spider-Man: *pulls off a glove and pulls a chunk into a long stem with his nails carving lines for added texture*
Spider-Man: See, this is what we like to call exam season. Anybody who knows anything about college can tell you that it drives people up the wall, and I already climb mine when I’m antsy.
Spider-Man: *starts winding the thin sheet around the stem, delicately crimping petals in place*
Spider-Man: I do wanna be clear that this isn’t a threat, okay? I’m still not interested in crossing the line, which brings me to my point.
Spider-Man: *throws the titanium rose at the brick wall behind him, stem first, and embeds it all the way through*
Spider-Man: /That/ was restrained because I could focus enough to have full control. If I’m extremely tired or otherwise distracted, there’s just as much risk of me slipping up as someone operating heavy machinery. I’m probably not going to remember what sleep is for two whole months, so remember!
Spider-Man: *pulls out a brick and snaps it like a cookie*
Peter fucking Parker: Don’t.

Sassy Peter is a MENACE.
not only is he a menace he's also a spitting image of Tony when he was younger.
No.
Not his playboy days, or his snarky remark days.
The days where Tony would ramble on like the nerdy scientist he is.
So that's why, when rhodey comes back, seeing a nerdy little kid with curly brown hair that strikingly resembled tonys, He didn't question it.
He simply patted Peter on the back and went to go grab Tony to interrogate the poor man on why he kept his nephew from him.

Shout-out to multilingual writers who are writing in their second (or third and so on) language.
The frustration of speaking it fluently, but still having to google basic words when you're writing.
The absolute joy of finding a word that sounds just perfect and conveys exactly what you mean.
Doubting all your grammar and being afraid to post it or even send it to a beta reader.
The euphoria of someone calling your use of this language, that is not your mother tongue, beautiful.

Tony somehow despises the idea. He also has no idea why that is.
