Moonlight Rrriot III deadline extended.
Hey, dudes and dudettes.
As you may know, the May 1st deadline has passed. HOWEVER, I'm extending the deadline until August 1st.
Why is that? First a mea culpa: I was never able to properly promote the book due to life keeping me busy.
Secondly, and most important, is that Moonlight Rrriot III will be the last book in the series and I want to go out with a bang. Pull out all the stops and promote the hell out of it. I couldn't debut the book at STAPLE this year, so instead it will be first available at San Japan this September.
This zine was fun to make, but it’s time for me to move on.
Spread the word! Tell your friends, family, enemies, and frienemies know! MR III deadline has extended to August 1st!

Moonlight Rrriot III Back on Track
Good news, everyone! Moonlight Rrriot is now back on track!
As previously said, I put a hold on the book because there was no time for it. Now that the dust has settled, I can now dedicate time to it like in the previous volumes.
This time, I’m putting together a form for you to fill out. I will link it on this past and the updated submissions guidelines.
The new deadline is May 1, so get crackin’!

MR III POSTPONED!
Apologies for those looking forward to the next volume of the zine, but I am suspending the project for the time being.
The reason for this is because I’ve been really busy with my life in the last couple of months that I’ve never had any time to work on the book. The deadline was closing in, and I was afraid it wouldn’t be ready nor would I have enough submissions by then.
Once the dust has settled, I will restart the project properly.

Moonlight Rrriot 3
That’s right! Another volume of Moonlight Rrriot is in the works and submissions are open!
Moonlight Rrriot is a Sailor Moon-centric fanzine. The first volume, consisting of pin ups and comics, debuted in March 2014 at STAPLE in Austin, TX, selling out within the first day. Volume 2 followed the year after with even greater success.
This year Jamel Jones (http://behance.net/JamelArt), contributor since volume 1, will join in as curator!
The aim of the zine is to collect work that is not typical fanart, but rather unique interpretations of the franchise. The subject matter doesn’t have to be just the manga/anime, but also the fandom, bootlegs, the Saban remake, and even the stage musical!
This time, however, we want to spotlight the villains!

GUIDELINES
VOLUME 3 IS A VILLAINS-ONLY BOOK! QUEEN MERYL, BLACK MOON GANG, ETC. SAILOR MOON AND OTHER HEROIC CHARACTERS CAN BE FEATURED, BUT THE FOCUS SHOULD BE ON THE BADDIES!
THEME:
VILLAINS ARE THE STARS! Since we want to encourage unique interpretations of the franchise, you can give it your own thematic spin on your submission! It can be western, sci-fi, kung-fu, or even punk rock-centric!
SPECS:
8.5 x 11 inches with an added ⅛ of an inch for bleed.
300 to 600 DPI minimum resolution
Black and White (that includes grayscale) - You can also include a color copy for the pdf version.
PDF format
COMICS:
Comic should be kept from 1 to 6 pages. We would love to see more comic submissions for this volume! Let’s see your story-telling skills!
WRITERS:
You can submit your story pitch/script, and we’ll pair you up with an artist if needed.
ARTISTS:
Likewise, submit your art and we'll pair you up with a writer if needed.
PINUPS:
This volume we want to encourage more comics, but pin ups are still welcomed! One pin up per artist submission. Comics are still preferred.
CONTENT:
Please keep content PG-13

Deadline Extended!
For anyone who's still interested in submitting to Moonlight Rrriot:
I'm extending the deadline to February 9th! You all get about an extra week to get your submissions going.
This is as far as I can extend the deadline! I want this book to debut at STAPLE 2015, which is at the beginning of March, and it's imperative that I deliver the PDF to the printer a few weeks before then!
