url change!
mojosdumpingground -> mojogifs
I just wanted something simpler and originally didn't know if this side blog was going to be just gifs or a mishmash of gifs & photo edits/moodboards.

I am reblogging this here in case anyone missed this.
I will happily make you a header for fics & masterlists that can be all your own if there is something specific you are looking for ! I do take requests.
Another reason I'm unhappy with my gifs being reupload is because it diminishes the quality. I do not go out of my way to make sure the gif is clear and sharpened and not pixelated for it to be reupload looking naff. And yes, I may have watermarks on my gifs now but this does not give blanket permission for them to be reuploaded.
Let's talk about the 'add gif' function,
It's brilliant. You can type a phrase, word, character name/ship, even a gif makers usertag and be given a whole bunch of gifs that have been uploaded to tumblr with those tags used on the post...
It's great, because when you add it to your post the creator of that gif gets a notification like this,
and is credited below the gif, like this,
But if someone were to save that gif then re-upload it onto their own new post, with their own tags, and someone else were to then choose that gif for a post, the re-uploader would get the notification and they would get credited when it isn't their creation.
Meaning, a comment with the creator '@'ed is redundant. It doesn't matter anymore.
If you are looking for a specific gif you know was made by a certain gif maker, search their user tag, it will be easier to find than by searching the actor/character name/phrase,
Yeah you might have to scroll a bit to find it, BUT this way the maker is getting credited without anyone having to go out of their way by '@' them in a comment and someone who didn't make the gif mistakenly getting the credit later down the line.
