The painting Francis is talking about is Gros’s Bonaparte Visiting the Plague Victims of Jaffa.
I adore the idea of nations popping up in works of art throughout history. Francis would be all over modeling for his beloved artists. What an aesthetic.
I’ve been working like, 3-4 months on a project I thought about... almost 3-4 years ago.
It’s a Davesprite lyricstuck that’s still a WIP but I was getting antsy haha.
Hope you like it.
Once my boss came into my medical office with an old man, saying he had fallen down and it was my next patient. I examinated him plus did the routine check we had (it was for osteoarthritis), and towards the end (because I kept finding inconsistences in his medical story) I asked him if he really was Louie. Turns out he wasn't. He wasn't even my patient (he needed a blood pressure control, not an osteoarthritis one), but kept answering all my questions even when I called him at least three to five times Louie.
I... truly can't understand these scenarios.
Work Song by Hozier except it’s being sung by what sounds like a few fellow laborers a ways up the coal mine that you’re working in. It’s dark and cold and grueling work, but whoever the singer is, he has a sweet story and a sweeter voice, and morale seems to pick up with each beat.
By the end the entire mine has begun mining in harmony, but as you look for the source of the song… no one claims the credit.
In Chile the street dog known as Negro Matapacos (“Black Cop-Killer”), has become a symbol of rebellion. Matapacos was a famous street dog in Santiago, Chile known for being at every protest, defying tear gas and water cannons, and fiercely hating the police. Since his passing in 2017 he has became a symbol of protests and resistance, and is affectionately know as the patron saint of protests and street dogs.
