“Loyalty is such an admirable trait, of course. But devotion and reliability don’t always come with the most even of temperaments.” Oh no, that smile was probably pretty dangerous. Oz, run. He looks calm, but those are the eyes of a killer.
“I do wonder what the extent of his loyalty is…” He taps his chin, thinking. “After all, a good retainer is willing to risk life and limb for you, right? Willing to run through a downpour just to get your umbrella you knowingly forgot at home?“
Fischl was nodding at everything the man had said thus far, until he mentioned umbrellas. That was when her demeanor changed, as she slowly turned to look at Oz, clearly unimpressed all of a sudden.
“That does remind one of an incident that took place last week.” She took a step closer to the night raven, arms folded.
If birds could sweat, Oz would be doing so visibly right now. He was in danger and he knew it, looking everywhere except at his prinzessin.
“Pray tell me, Oz. What did you reply when requested to unfurl your blessed wings to blot out the heavens; plunging the world into eternal night?”
“Well it is your own fault you forgot your parasol, mein Fräulein. I’m sure you’ll remember it next time, hm? It wouldn’t do for you to forget such important things at home.”
“Y-you should still listen when I tell you to do something!”
Seemed like the stranger had his answer. Risking life and limb? Sure. Fetching a forgotten umbrella? Not so much.

sorry things have been kinda quiet as far as replies and starters go. i was actually waiting to see most of the summer odyssey event in genshin, just on the offhand something major happened with her story/personality wise. (i was scared they were gonna make my girl a normie ngl)
but now that her mirage has been dealt with in game i’ll be getting back to my drafts throughout this week. i’ll be prioritizing starters i still need to write. thanks for the patience!

Eiden hadn’t mean to buy anything today, just take a walk and do some window shopping. The plans however changed as soon as he entered the shop. He doesn’t exactly have money to waste but everything looks so delicious… Mouthwateringly so even. Can anyone blame him? Just picking out one is hard enough, let alone resisting the urge.
The trouble of picking one seems to be shared others. At very least the girl that approaches him seems to have it. She talks long and fancy, making Eiden wonder if he’s mistaken him for a shop assistant…
“ …prinzessin? Oh. An honour to meet you then “, he still responds after few blinks.
“ Um let’s see… They do all look pretty good. You’re right about that missy.“
She’s a bit strange but what’s the harm? He’s seen his share of weird kids in the orphanage, it’s cute and all. He’ll play along. All the part time job hours he did in bakery should help him now. He’ll just ignore the bird on her shoulder - he’s not sure if they allow pets here but if no one’s saying anything then it must be fine right!
“ Royal palate or not I think princess would love strawbery shortcake”, he starts with his best sales pitch like suggestion, “ it’s classic, loved by many. I think even Marie Antoinette would love it. “
“Strawberry shortcake... Yes, of course. A simple yet elegant dish. There was no need to over complicate a matter as simple as supplying mine earthly vessel with sustenance.” And Oz would like the strawberries on top.
“My loyal subject. Your council has been both enlightening and most appreciated. I, Fischl, Prinzessin der Verurteilung have deemed thou worthy of a reward most fitting. Oz, how fare the royal coffers?” She asked, turning her head to look at the raven perched on her shoulder.
“Your bank account has enough to get both us some cake and something for the young man if he’d like, mein Fräulein.”
“Most excellent!” She turned back to the man in question. “Tell me what dish here speaks to your heart, and I shall see to it that it is yours! You have my word.”
