List of Prompts for May 2024 Marauders Rarepair Microfics
These microfics are no-commitment, no-pressure, daily prompts for those that want to have a crack at writing, want to spread some love to their rarepair (poly ships are cool too) favs, and those who enjoy writing microfics or following prompts! All rarepairs are welcome, no matter how whacky (with the exception of incest and pedophilia). Pick a prompt that inspires you to put your ships in a fun little situation and write away! Tag us and use the hashtag “#marauders rarepair microfic”.
Have fun with these prompts, get inspired to write, draw, make playlists, create mood boards, edits, collages, or anything involving your rarepairs to spread your love for them. NSFW is cool, but please make sure everything is tagged correctly and plenty of warning is provided.
Late submissions are A-okay. Feel free to interpret the prompts however you like, the theme is only there to aid if you’d like, and to make things a little more fun :)

We are back, folks! Join us for our best and biggest year of microfics ever!! Microfic May is an open daily prompt challenge in which participants write a microfic a day in May. Here's the scoop for 2024!
We define microfics as works of fiction that are 50 words or less. However, this limit is merely a suggestion. We accept all lengths!
Open to all HP characters, ships, ratings, topics, and genres (as long as works are tagged and spoilered appropriately).
Participants must be age 18+ and follow DLDR, SALS, and YKINMKATO. (What does this mean?)
All prompts are optional, can be skipped, switched around, or combined. Just have fun and write!
For an extra challenge, try one of our optional ‘Weekly Challenges’ along with the day’s prompt.

First time running this fest and really any fest, so please be kind if I make any mistakes. This is a fest with daily prompts to inspire you to write snarry microfics. Welcome!
I’ve enjoyed writing microfics with prompts for a multitude of Marauders ships, but couldn’t find one specifically for Pandalily, so I made my own! I will be posting a monthly one to two word a day prompt list and reblogging anyone that tags me in their Pandalily-focused microfics, even if you don’t use the prompt. The only rule is that the microfic has to be primarily Pandalily (romantic or platonic).

Hello, do you know how many microfics were submitted? Also, will there be another fest for next year? 👀
I wanted to say thanks to the mods and every single one of the authors that made their stories come to life with the prompts. It’s amazing how everyone made a fic based on one word.

Ahh geez, you really made us do it lol. So we counted all of the microfics submitted this year, and as of the time of answering, we have had 1002 microfics submitted across Tumblr and AO3!!! Isn't that amazing?!!? We know some people are still finishing up, so there might be even more in the future!
Our most popular ship was Drarry by far, but we also had some lovely entries involving some rare pairs like: Narcissa x Lily, Katie x Marcus, Dean x Seamus, Sirius x Severus, and many more!
As for next year... we aren't 100% sure yet. It will depend on the mods availability and how we're feeling. Keep an eye on the Tumblr though around Mar/Apr for any updates!
