I really liked that one Nightmare Nny look

Something I really like about Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

Devi never forgave Nny. Too many times the male protagonist will do something terrible to the female character, then he will apologize and she will forgive him at some point.

NOT DEVI.

Nny literally tried to murder her, and he decided to apologize with a prerecorded tape? Nuh-uh, she was having NONE OF THAT. Girl went on about how he physiologically damaged her and basically ruined her social life. She was screaming for him to at least talk to her like a human being and how she didn't even care anymore if he tried anything again because now she was expecting it.

She never forgave him, and they went their separate ways. And that's why jthm is one of my favorite things.

Some references I made for myself a few years ago when I was trying to figure out how I wanted to draw Nny’s hair. There’s a lot of variation in his hair throughout the comics, but these are what I got from it

Splitting Headache

I was nervous to share the actual story to this, but “Splitting Headache” was inspired by my tendency to overthink things beyond what they actually are. I think often times we can get stuck in our own heads and convince ourselves of things that only end up hurting us, or even end up self sabotaging ourselves when there’s a simple answer to things. Often times I’ve even found myself replaying certain scenarios from the past over and over again in my head to the point of giving myself a headache
