You cannot live alone on the fantasies you feed to your mind, eventually you have to touch your life for real, assess and analyze your habits, understand your character, try not to hate yourself for your character as it was shaped when you were very young by circumstances outside of you, and begin learning how to cope with your character, how to build habits that work for you, finish small projects, finish big projects, expose yourself to more uncomfortable situations, assess why you want to leave that friendship before you leave it, raise your anxiety levels on purpose, so that you can grow, raise your work load on purpose, so that you can grow, so that you can build resilience, so that your life expands, and can be experienced by you in full and in reality

one detail that i love is that lisa is less doctor frankenstein but more mary shelley despite the movie's title. lisa's introduction is her stone rubbing the creature's headstone while mary learned to write using her mother's gravestone. lisa isn't a scientist she's a seamstress which is closer to mary's profession as a writer. they're women who lost their mothers at a young age and were outcasts in their respective societies. both having an odd relationship with death, finding love and comfort in it. mary connects with her mother through her grave like how lisa does with the creature's. at it's core it's a movie about grief and the non-finality of death.

it's also a campy movie about a devoted zombie romantic who would chop dicks off for their goth wife which i think stays true to the spirit of mary shelley.

4x12 is the gayest house episode imaginable. we get “you’re sleeping with me” followed by house booking it like a bat out of hell. right after, we introduce 13’s bisexuality. then, we have the “why NOT date you” “we’re a couple” scene, ending with the underrated “well, if you had looked at me with those flashing eyes BEFORE i was involved…”

house episodes are always very layered. a b and sometimes c plots. you can’t tell me the concept of wilson finding happiness with an attainable version of house isn’t connected to introducing a bi character in some way. the writers wanted to explore it soooo bad
