thinking about how they said grover was affected the most out of everyone bc he was alone and how nico and bianca stayed for 70 years inside that hotel and didn't forget each other bc they were always within reach and how that little detail makes their story even more devastating bc they got through it together and the moment they got out they get separated and then bianca never comes back

me watching some of yall complain about how we lost the plot bc suddenly percy has 4 pearls instead of one like we didn't hear him begging his friend to take his mom and leave him behind in the preview like. do u think rick is just going to forget the prophecy has to be fulfilled. do u think rick is not going to take every opportunity he can to make the angst worse??? that man is going to make them lose one or break it somehow so that way the choice of who stays and who leaves is even more devastating

something about percy growing up so sure of his mother's love for him and then expecting every parent around him to act like her and something about him not fully understanding why the gods are not around the camp or in touch with their children at all and something about him immediately rejecting poseidon as a father figure bc he didn’t care about him even after being claimed and something about him getting genuinely shocked when annabeth tells him how her relationship with her parents and especially her mother works and something about him understanding luke's and ethan's and every other demigod's rage after the war ends and
and something about sally jackson raising such a good kid by herself and how he ends up changing the world by making sure the other kids at camp can at least experience a small portion of her mother's love
