girl typing a very specific question into google search bar, scrunching her face as she takes time to make sure she hasn't made any spelling errors, hitting enter, shaking her head as google only presents her with unhelpful websites that don't answer her query at all, moving her cursor back to the search bar and clicking on it so she can carefully write 'reddit' at the end, hitting enter again, sighing with relief as she finds a link to a reddit post asking the exact question she needed answered posted in a subreddit for a very niche topic, finally moving her cursor to click on the link, wondering why she didn't go straight to the subreddit earlier, only to be met with a deleted comment with a reply from the OP stating 'that was very helpful, thanks', sighing with frustration as she moves her cursor back to the search bar so she can copy the link and paste it into the wayback machine,
hey reminder to continue boycotting eurovision and instead turn your eyes on gaza where the last media outlet al jazeera has just been shut down so that Israel can launch its attack on the most densely populated area in the world without scrutiny. Dont stop talking about Palestine
"Zendaya is the face of the Met Gala, that's why she's being criticized!" then who's this?
I'm not saying Zendaya doesn't deserve to be criticized but it's wild that yall don't have the same smoke for this wicked ass brittle bone, stiff bob bitch, Anna "I hate the poor" Wintour? Like...it's literally her event?
i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point
I'm very tired of this "queer college students should stop supporting Palestine, they'd kill you there!" I watched a hijabi ask a trans man, "but what name do you want to go by?" A butch giving a woman their hoodie so that she could keep her hair covered after the cops took her scarf. Muslim girls making sure the lesbian couple got through the system together. Religious men making sure green haired protestors got out safe. A Palestinian girl with an ex-southern baptist fiance, who definitely isn't a practicing Muslim, whose parents were raising hell for her. I don't want to hear it. Solidarity forever, free Palestine.
Several people asked: I have been seeing a lot of "I am searching for this fic" works uploaded to AO3 lately. Are "works" that are just asking people to help find other fics allowed, or do they violate the terms of service? If so, how/in which section? I tried looking it up but couldn’t find a clear answer. If they are not allowed, how and where do I report them?
Some of this I covered the last time I did an ao3commentoftheday Q&A here.
Fic searches (works that are describing and asking to find another fic) break our Terms of Service. Specifically, it falls under the Non-Fanwork umbrella in Section IV.H, and there’s also a TOS FAQ question about it. Basically, trying to find a work counts as ephemeral (aka temporary) content. If you run across a fic-finding work while you're browsing the Archive, you can report it if you want. But please don't go specifically seeking out works to report.
To report a work: open the work you want to report, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Policy Questions & Abuse Reports” link. The form will autofill with the link to the page you were just on (in this case the fic-search work). Fill in the form.
It's helpful if you write 'fic search' or something similar in the summary field. Non-fanworks is our most reported category (we receive about a thousand of them each month), so specifically saying what the work is means it's less likely to blend into all the other reports that just say 'not fic' or 'not fanwork'. Here's another post with more reporting tips!

The form is now closed. I’m working through the remaining submissions.

If you want to file a report or otherwise need an official PAC response, you can find PAC’s contact form by clicking on the “Policy Questions & Abuse Reports” link on any AO3 page.
