Bad Company by LilRedRobinHood - Deathstroke's son is dead and he demands an apprentice to pay off the blood debt--Robin, specifically. While the already-grieving Dark Knight's investigation devolves into a self-destructive spiral, Dick clings stubbornly to his ideals…and somewhere along the line he might end up accidentally befriending his dead brother. Work in progress, last updated in 2022.

It is still absolutely a marvel to me how much BATFAMILY fic I have been reading and enjoying, it's been awhile since I've gone at such a sustained fever pitch so consistently, which is because this fandom keeps putting out fic that makes me fall in love all over again, along with all the comics I've been reading and enjoying. I am so delighted by how I can bounce around various eras or characters (well, let's be fair, I still have a Dick Grayson Problem That I Am Making Your Problem Too) and there's so much to read that I'm having trouble keeping up!

Join me in having the best problem: Too much good fic to read, because I swear that even when I'm crying because fic has punched me in the feelings, I'm still having a great time and it's definitely not a trap to lure you all into crying with me. Peter Parker and Dick Grayson as best friends

is something I love exploring. Dick is basically DC’s Spider-Man. Kinda. They’re not copy-paste of each other but they both see everything in a positive light, and if either of them loses their optimism it’s because something really bad happened.

I imagine Peter would be a good big brother like Dick, too, or an extremely annoying younger sibling that the oldest would love anyway. They both bring balance in their relationships.

And imagine RIPeter. An introverted PhD student who basically hangs out only with his wife and aunt when he’s not fighting crime. Imagine if he lived and somehow met with Dick, who went to New York to find himself and decided to give college one more go. Imagine they bump into each other and Dick manages to get close to Peter, and Peter soon eases into the frienship and sees Dick as a brother because he never had one, or a friend that insists and doesn’t give up bc he’s always late and tired and has secrets. 

Imagine Peter throws a birthday party for Dick, like those parents throw for little kids. The theme was Dick’s idea. The batfam visits New York for it and they meet Peter and every sibling thinks “thank God he’s old and blond because Bruce would have adopted him”.
