COSMIQUE

In the late 1970s there was a fad not just for disco music but a special, spatial even type of disco, that owed as much debt to the 1950s at it did the future. It seemed to be huge in French speaking areas but some of it crossed over. Perhaps the biggest hits were Cerrone's Supernature or Space's Magic Fly but this era also produced some fascinating gems from Gino Soccio, Telex and Les Rockets. Without these and the funk of Harry Thumman, you wonder if Air, Daft Punk or Sebastien Tellier would have had a career at all. Enjoy. Relax. Let's go on a journey into space.
