We'll make Heaven a place on Earth
A/N: i can't watch Euphoria because it gets me stressed. I got to learn about cassie and i think she deserves some loving. let's writte fluff. Also i only write for cassie howard because sydney sweeney is an adult herself.
tittle from Heaven Is a Place on Earth, by Belinda Carlisle
Artist female reader but i guess i didn't use pronouns.
warnings: mentions of sex and nudity
-
Summary: you're an artist, you paint angels. Cassie asks you to paint her. Naked.
-
The morning sun could barely shine behind the heavy clouds, the chance of a storm hitting the city again. Cassie woke up to an empty bed and frowned. She walked around your apartment, knowing exactly where to find you, and entered the small studio, a smile already growing on her face.
"What are you up to?", she approached you, placing herself behind you and her arms around your shoulders.
You hummed at her warmth, putting your paintbrush in the cup with dirty water you've used all morning. "Just another piece.", you said, your hand resting on her forearm.
Cassie stared at your painting, a cloudy sky with a few cupids flying around. Her eyes wandered through the angels you had made out of ink as she rested her chin on the top of your head, still standing behind you. "They don't have faces...?", she questioned.
You took a deep breath before speaking, trying not to stutter. "Well.. i was thinking i could, you know... borrow your features?", you asked, biting your lip and closing your eyes, bracing yourself for a negative answer.
Cassie didn't respond though. She moved so she could look at you and smiled, yet to give you an answer.
"I understand if you don't feel comfortable about it, i can ju-", you started but she kissed your lips before you could finish.
"I'd love to.', she nudged your nose with her own and kissed you again, her eyes holding a mischeave that could make Satan blush. "On one condition though.", she bit her lip, her eyes never leaving yours.
"I want you to paint me.", she pecked your lips.  "Full body.", she kissed you again. "Naked.", she whispered, licking your lips softly and sensually.
-
The studio held a dim light, something you had prepared earlier. You had brought the chair from the living room, together with the baby blue fabric to cover Cassie's torso and part of her legs. She got to the room but didn't enter just yet, waiting by the door as she looked inside. You seemed more nervous than she ever would.
"You've painted lots of nude women, Y/N. I'm pretty sure you can paint one more.", Cassie mocked, giving you a playful smile.
You set your brushes and inks, bringing a new blank canvas closer. You watched Cassie undress nonchalantly, it wasn't her first time. She sits on the small sofa, waiting for your instructions.
"Can you lay a little? Your back to the arm of the chair. Put your arm above your head.", you instructed, holding the fabric, deciding how it would go on your model.
Cassie followed your instructions diligently, a straight face at your words. She recognized your professional tone when you were in work mode. It made her feel professional too, like this was something in between one of her fantasies and a possibility for her near future.   She had been your model before, for the painting classes you offered when you needed extra money. She had volunteered when your usual model had a problem and couldn't make it. "You're paying me to see me naked? Kinky", she joked at that time, hiding her nervousness.
"There is nothing sexual about nude painting, really. You're gonna get sore from keeping the same position and we are gonna struggle to find the right shades of ink to match the lights.", you had explained. In fact, the experience was much more professional than she had anticipated. She was sore, indeed. And the students applauded her by the end of the class, thanking her for the effort of being there like a statue, helping them study and learn. They looked at her with gratitude and respect, not like some horny teenagers watching a big boobies woman on a porn video.
Cassie smiled at the memory, lifting her head just enough to plant a small kiss to your cheek as you leaned down to adjust the fabric. You looked at her in awe, giggling when she winked at you.
The atmosphere was light and easy, the kind of atmosphere Cassie came to love while in college, peace becoming one of her favorite feelings. She did feel at peace when she met you, letting you learn about her and showing genuine interest in knowing you too. When you started dating, she'd remind herself that love is calm and gentle. Patient and kind. Like you.
-
The baby blue fabric was mostly between Cassie's legs, creating some volume under her body, the color mimicking her eyes almost perfectly . Cassie had her breasts and collarbones on display though she laid with her back to the ceiling. The position would get tiring soon, one arm folded onto her middle and the other supporting her head.
As you sketched Cassie, she'd try not to laugh. She remembered you saying there was nothing sexual about nude painting, but she found it extremely intimate to watch you paint her alone. She'd keep your expreions to her memory. The way you blush when you look directly into her eyes, the way you lick your lips when they get too dry.
"Stop moving.", you warned with a smile, your eyes not leaving the canvas.
Cassie's smile grew. "I feel like we're on Titanic. We should have gotten some jewelry.", she suggested.
You were finishing the sketch when she cleared her throat, watching as your eyes left the canvas and stopped at her again, curious.
Cassie got up from the chair, bringing the fabric with her, letting it  fall at her feet on the floor, revealing every little detail of her nudeness. She said no word, just stared at you, slowly walking in your direction, captivating your eyes with her own as if hypnotizing you.
A serpent. A goddess. A woman.
Cassie.
Her firm steps took her to you and she gently took the charcoal from your hand, bringing your dirty finger to her lips, kissing them.
Cassie made you get up from your chair, pulling you  by your shirt, walking back to her previous spot by the chair and the fabric on the floor. She sits, bringing you down with her, her lips hovering above yours.
"Make love to me.", she demanded, eyes clouded with desire. "Here, now. With your angels watching us and blushing for all the noises we'll make.", she kissed your neck, biting softly on your skin.
It would have sounded like she was teasing you, but Cassie looked very serious.
And you'd burn this building down before denying her every wish.

You are my Candy girl and you got me wanting You
A/N:  life is tough sometimes and i got a few issues. There was this stray cat, we called him Sushi. He'd come to visit nearly everyday and i was preparing to adopt him. Sadly, he passed away. Little guy was run over by some irresponsible shithead. He wasn't living at my house yet and i'm not okay about it , i wish i had done something sooner. We took him to the emergency vet but he didn't make it. I feel so small sometimes.
I didn't want to leave more fanfiction on the wait because i love writting, but i've been feeling sad and tired about everything. Thank you for the kind messages though, I appreciate them.
A/N 2: we don't celebrate valentine's day in Brazil, we have another saint for romantic relationships and marriage and it's celebrated around June 22nd, i guess.
-
Summary:  you're working doing errands for a bakery on valentine's day. You're not amused but Maya likes you.
tittle from Sugar, Sugar by The Archies (one of my favorites)
You took your bike and went to the Firefighter station, your first stop. Wandering around Tamaha, you noticed there were more couples than you'd usually see. The stores seemed more pink and there were love songs playing everywhere.
"A box of donuts for Boonie!", you entered the patio yelling, hitting the small hornet on your bike.
Boonie came almost running to you, she grabbed the box and smiled. She checked it for any name on the outside but there was no card, no name nor anything that could identify who had sent it. She shrugged, opening the box.
"Why are you grumpy? It's Valentine's day, smile!", she took a large bite of one of her treats.
You looked at Boonie frowning, you hated Valentine's day. Especially because the one person you wanted to be your valentine seemed so out of reach.
"It's a holiday created by Europeans to sell cards and chocolate.", you muttered just as Maya arrived. Maya and her leather jacket, riding that motorbike and looking like the woman of your dreams.
She parked the vehicle and took off her helmet, her eyes landing on you instantly, a smile trying not to appear.
Maya walked towards you and Boonie, greeting the two of you. "Why do you look upset?", she signed to you, accepting one of the donuts Boonie offered. You huffed and replied slowly. "i don't like today. Valentine's day.", you signed.
Boonie smiled at herself, she's been helping you with ASL vocabulary lately. You nearly begged her to teach you so you could impress Maya during class, but she talked you out of it. "It's a pretty great opportunity for you to spend more time together. Ask her for extra classes!", she had said. But she did teach you a few more signs and of course you could practice with her too.
Maya contemplated for a moment, she finished the donut and cleaned her hand on her jeans. "We can study love words today, and i'll teach you how to ask someone on a date.", she started. "I can teach you how to flirt too.", she smiled, confident, not knowing you were already charmed.
For the first time in a few weeks you understood all of what Maya signed. You couldn't reply how you wanted to, but you did understand and that made you blush.
-
You and Maya planned on practicing your daily vocabulary at a bakery store, eating cake. But first you had to go to Skully's store, him being one of your errands' destinations.
"Oh, someone remembered me on Valentine's day?", the old man nearly giggled as you handed him a small package, a few decorated cupcakes inside. "Is it from pokni?", Maya asked, making Skully blush and smile. He nodded, not trusting his words as another wave of giggles left his mouth.
You smiled at the old man's antics, a bittersweet feeling spreading on your chest.
-
Maya noticed you were too quiet. You barely looked around, your eyes on the floor while you pushed your bike around. The two of you bought some soda and pretzels for lunch and sat at a bench to eat and chat.
Maya sighed, she looked around and could finally notice the amount of couples and flowers around Tamaha, her eyes stopping at a couple on the other side of the street. She looked at you and back at them, nudging your shoulder with her own.
"I know you are upset" , she signed. "But it's just a day. You don't need a valentine to celebrate.", she signed to you. "But if you want one, I can be it. Though I like to be with you many other days too.", she smiled, that big smile that showed most of her teeth.
Your heart danced inside your chest, you could feel the vibrations all over your body. Thump-Thump. Thump-Thump. You kept staring at her, thinking of an answer.
"I understand what you say, but i don't know reply.", you finally signed to her, watching her face turn into a half-surprised expression.
"Someone's finally studying more?", Maya mocked you, nudging your shoulder with her own. Again.
You noticed she does that as an act of affection.
"I don't need...", you started, trying  to remember the signs. "C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E", you spelled , your hands moving slow. "I have something. More. Candy", you continued. "I have you.", you signed, nervous.
Maya laughed but she understood what you meant, leaving the opportunity to correct you for later. She took a caramel candy from her jacket pocket and gave it to you. "Not chocolate.", she told you with a smile, leaning to give you a kiss on the cheek.
You sighed, your big smile matching Maya's.
"Happy Valentine's day, Maya.", you signed, linking your arms together as you ate the pretzels and watched the couples walk around town from your bench.

Confused
summary: you're Maya's worst student and she is trying to flirt with you.
A/N: i was mistaking brazilian sign language and ASL, but i only understand a few signs. Wrote this as an exercise, i feel like i like it better with more diaogues, but i'ts been a bit hard to organize them in my head. i know i don't have to explain but i wanted you to know. Thank you for reading me.
A/N:  I'm so sad and tired. dont forget to eat bananas and sit outside for a while
- - -
You'd meet Maya three times a week for a new lesson in ASL. This week you were learning more daily vocabulary and she invited you over so you could practice the signs for objects, chores and more greetings, but you were way behind on the lessons.
Maya's house looked cozy even from the outside. You saw Biscuits' dog at the front door first, bending to talk to him. "Hello, there, Billy Jack!", you caressed his fur and he sniffed your hands and face. "Hey, Boonie.", you greeted when the woman opened the door for you.
Boonie was wearing her firefighter uniform, probably coming home from her shift. You looked at her and smiled shyly, knowing your crush on Maya would probably show the moment you were in the same space. You looked around and saw Maya on the couch, looking at you.
"Good afternoon.", she greeted, signing slowly so you could follow. "Come in, baby. Have a sit next to me.", she signed.
You looked at Boonie then back at her. Maya decided to keep it simple for you. "Let's start.", she tapped the spot right next to her on the couch and your smile grew.
"Good afternoon. Let's start., you signed in reply, repeating the signs Maya just did. You felt silly for not coming up with something different.
Boonie watched your interaction before smiling at herself. "I'm going to see Pokni.", she signed to Maya, voicing her words for you. "You better study more.", she signed slowly and voiced the signs again, giving you the opportunity to learn a few new ones.
- - -
Being home alone with Maya made you a little more nervous. You wanted to tell her about your feelings and that you've been thinking about her; But you were afraid of rejection and didn't want to ruin what you already had.
You opened the book on page six and waited for her to start the lesson.
Maya just looked at you. "You're cute. I like your hair.", she signed, watching your face turn into a confused expression.
You opened the book but couldn't find what she signed in the lesson. "What. Page. You.", you tried to ask, but Maya just shrugged.
"I wish I could kiss you right now. Would you go on a date with me if I asked? Or stay for dinner. Or spend the night with me. I'd treat you so right. ", she kept going, watching you stare at her.
"I'm sorry, Maya. i have a small vocabulary.", you signed how you had rehearsed many times before. "It's hard to learn but I'll try to study more.", you promised with an apologetic smile.
Maya was frustrated, that much was obvious.  "Please study more.", she pleaded, defeated.
The rest of the lessons went a little more smooth until noon. Boonie arrived back right as you were leaving, she eyed you up and down before pulling you aside to talk.
"Are you two hooking up or something?" , she was straight to the point.
"W-what?", you stared at her in shock.
Boonie scoffed. "You're almost eye-fucking all the time. I saw it earlier.", she told you. "Come on, spill the tea. We're friends, it's okay."
You felt your skin burning, a violent blush spreading all over your face. "Stop talking like that. Maya and i are just friends.", you whispered, knowing Biscuits could arrive anytime soon too.
Boonie bit her lower lip and giggled, like she knew something you didn't.
"You are really that stupid.", she signed, making you confused again. It seemed like this was the only adjective possible for you right now.

I Wanna Ruin Our Friendship
A/N: first posted at Ao3, this the fanfictio that became a comic book. Than you for reading me. Gonna upload the comic pages in a bit.
Also, i didn't know that there was a song called I WANNA RUIN OUR FRIENDSHIP untill someone told me at Ao3
-
Kate Bishop had lost count of how many frustrated relationships she had got involved to. In her defense (her words exactly) people either lack effort or are hell afraid of commitment. It seemed they were not used to someone who actually cared so that was why they freaked out and told her she tended to overshare, overstep, overtalk, overlove.
If we come to think about it, the list was imense. Add "you love me better when you love me less" to the pile.
She was tired, exhausted of people and their gray moods. People in love are not gray, Kate thought, but her partners had proved her wrong. Unless they were actually not in love with her.
Oh.
That made sense.
-
It was a random Wednesday when Kate decided she was not going to try anymore. If she'd ever have a relationship again, the person in question would have to run for it and put their asses to work if they'd ever want to even kiss her. She was with her friend Yelena at the supermarket, the chart slowly being filled with groceries as she told the same story for the hundredth time.
Yelena was a blond, short woman, with the mouth of a sailor (she just can't help curse all the time). She was from Russia and even if she complained daily about America, she loved living there. Yelena was not a people's person but she sure was friendly and reliable. They had met in college, while Kate took a degree in Business (more to her mother's will) and Yelena studied Vet. They became friends quite quickly. Kate loved talking, Yelena loved listening. They were in some sort of balance and even after a few years their dynamics worked well. Yelena was the one who knew the most about Kate's previous relationships, despite not being very opened to talk about her own love life.
"You're Kate Bishop!", Yelena nearly yelled by the vegetables corridor.
"You're a fierce, intelligent and independent woman, Kate. You're lovely, and caring. And very, very beautiful. If they don't take care of that, then it's their loss.",
Kate kept her hands in the pockets of her purple sweater while Yelena talked this time. She stared at a random spot as Yelena kept reminding her of her qualities and telling her why she shouldn't bother too much about people who don't give her the love she deserves.
"People are complicated sometimes, especially when it comes to other people. Don't let them bring you down for too long, okay?", Yelena spoke.
"I'm just so tired..", Kate took a deep breath, the emotional exhaustion reflecting on her body health. It was not just her damned relationships, but the stress over work, her family issues and the absence of cuddles.
Kate made a face when Yelena put an avocado in the chart. "How about you? It's been a long time for you too, and you never tell me about your dates.", she questioned, considering returning the avocado back to its shelf.
Come to think about it, Kate had never met any of Yelena's lovers nor heard about them. She knew Yelena was not into sharing this kind of information but having a secret relationship didn't seem like her style. Perhaps she was just as delusional as Kate herself.
"Nah, i've been exhausted my whole life. People are complicated.", Yelena replied though a frown on her face indicated she had more to say. Kate encouraged. She raised her eyebrows, indicating for Yelena to continue.
"There is this woman though. She is a fierce, intelligent and independent woman, Kate. She is lovely, and carrying. And very, very beautiful.", Yelena's eyes sparkled, she sure looked like someone in love.
"She is lucky, you know? You're here talking to me about her and you're being super cute about her. I wonder if anyone ever talks about me like that.", Kate hugged a potato chips giant sized pack.
Yelena just stare at her, her lips a fine line, a subtle pout.
"She is very oblivious though. But cute in a certain way. I could ask her to marry me and she wouldn't take a hint i'm in love with her", she pushed the chart away, leaving Kate behind as she walked to the cashier.
-
They decided to have a small party. Saturday night was a day to celebrate so they walked to a bar not far from Yelena's place, having a few drinks and catching up after not really talking for a few weeks.
Kate doesn't like the taste of alcohol. She always goes for sugary beverages made with fruits and sparkling water. She adds some lemon to sparkling water when she is feeling brave. Yelena on the other hand had a taste for brand vodkas. "I'm russian, it's in my blood.", she'd always say. They drank and chatted and had appetizers. And Yelena didn't judge when Kate brought what bothered her about relationships up again. It was okay that she needed to put it all out.
"...and man are like those golden fish, you know? They are nice to look at but i definitely don't feel like having one.", Kate said, chuckling a little to the side as she stared at her drink.
"How are you so sure you don't like it? Have you ever had a man?", a random tall man passed by and he said, puffing his chest just a tiny little bit. He probably listened to their whole chat by now. Yelena didn't like where this conversation was going. She was supposed to have a very good time with Kate and this random, average man was bothering all the mood.
"Have you ever eaten shit?" , she asked, noticing how Kate's eyes almost jumped off her face.
"She's a lesbian. She is not attracted to men and it includes you, dipshit. So excuse us and don't bother her.", Yelena got up, taking Kate by the hand.
-
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned into a month and a half since they had met last time. It wasn't because they didn't want to, but work was getting the best of both of them. Kate had many problems to solve at her family's company and Yelena had way too many puppies to check on. Not that she complained, it was her dream job.She was just tired.
Taken by tiredness (and needness) Kate texted first. It was 9pm and it all started with a simple text message. Maybe out of boredom and loneliness Kate had gotten brave and it's funny how a "i need cuddles" can be so powerfull.
Kate got a "so do i" as an answer and the flirtation went on for hours. And hours turned to days, and days turned to a week. It was very light hearted for both of them. It is okay to play flirt with your friends, right?
Right?!
-
When they met again, after almost two weeks of non stop flirtation and text messages and promisses of cuddles, Kate noticed Yelena was different. There was nothing new about her apperence, but there was something in her that Kate had not noticed before. Yelena had always been charming but this time she was extra charming, extra beautiful, extra extra.
They had walked to the park with their dogs and went back to Yelena's to resume chatting and have dinner ( not a romantic dinner, like Kate would have hoped for).
Yelena cooked some macaroni and Kate prepared some quick chocolate whatever. They walked back to the couch, Yelena had a drink in hand (vodka obviously) and Kate had a big cup of water with a few ice cubes in it.
They had a sit but Kate was oddly quiet..
"Did anything happen, Kate?", Yelena asked when they sit on the couch, putting her cup on the table close to the couch, true concern on her voice. Perhaps she had exagerated on the texts or made Kate unconfortable with how many flirting jokes she was able to make along dinner.
Kate looked at her cup and placed it on the table. She took the one with vodka and drank the cold liquid, feeling it burning her throat much less than her nerves were.
"Kate, are you okay?", Yelena nearly yelled, her voice much very concerned now.
"I wanna ruin our friendship.", were Kate's final words before she leaned in and kissed Yelena full on the mouth.

i wrote a fafiction about Kate Bishop x Yelena Belova pairing and developed it into a comic book. Of course i had to change a few things here and there, but i had a blast working on it, sketching the characteres and the pages. I also wrote about how importat it is to write about women loving women, creating and telling stories that are positive about lesbian romantic relationships (but not only that).
Writting and editoring by me, and illustrations by Nani Silva.
i'll post the fanfiction here later and the comics at ko-fi, sou you can read it. I translated it from Brazilian portuguese to English, but only the comic pages, not the final text about women who love women. I can try to do it when i have the time and energy.
The comics will be FREE at my ko-fi page, but you can always toss a coin to your artist.

Kiss it better
A/N: i'm writting one more for Maya's worst student. I had do edit because i noticed i somehow didn't paste the whole text from my email drafts. It was late at nigt, so i might have clicled something i shouldt. Anyway, thank you so much for reading me.
Summary: you woke up with a terrible pain in your neck and Maya offers to help. Funny thing is that her offer includes more than just a massage.
"Ouch.. my neck is killing me.", you texted Maya, rubbing the back of your neck. It was almost midday and you knew she'd be busy working or preparing her lunch, but of course she'd reply at some point.
You were relaxing in bed when the buzzing of your phone made you turn to your side as you read her message. A few minutes of chit-chat followed by a sting on the left side of your neck again and you complained once more, rubbing it a little harder this time..
"I can help you. I'm pretty good with my hands.", you read on your phone screen and tried not to make a joke about it, but she was the one sending a suggestive emoji. You've been flirting playfully for a while but those were just you two fooling around, trying to make the other embarrassed.
This felt a little different though. There was something about it.
Like you had nothing to lose, you accepted her offer and Maya came over an hour after that, just enough time to get her things done and buy you some treats. "Bananas are good for your muscles.", she signed when you gave her a questioning look as she handed you a bag with a few fruits.
You walked her to your room, showing her a few new things around the house. A picture of your cat, a shirt your mother had sent you, the cookies you had baked earlier. For the first time in a long while being alone with Maya was making you feel a little anxious.
Once in your room, Maya opened her backpack and showed you a small green plastic bottle. "It's one of those lotions for sore muscles. Like those for athletes.", she explained without you asking and you just nodded. "Understand?", she asked.
You could only understand a few signs. "Kind of. What is it?", you asked, signing too slow for your own liking.
Maya was being extra patient today. "It's for your pain.", she explained, spelling the word pain at the end and you finally understood.
She took a chair closer to your bed and told you to sit down. You obeyed and just then you noticed your height difference while you were sitting and she was standing.
As she moved around you noticed she was cleaning her hands with a small towel. "They sweat a lot.", she explained without you asking again, as if she could read your mind.
Maya walked to you and smiled, ready to start. You put your hair up. "Can you take your shirt off?", she signed and you made a face. "Sorry.", you apologized for not understanding. "Shirt off.", she signed, simplifying it for you.
There were times you felt terrible for not studying more. Maya was a great teacher and she became a great friend. You felt like you were putting her down and it was frustrating how she'd try so hard to communicate while you were lacking vocabulary. You probably missed a lot of what she said sometimes.
Your thoughts were interrupted when you noticed her staring at you, puzzled if you understood the request or not. You nodded, finally giving her an answer. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath as you tried to act the most normal possible, taking your shirt off and instantly holding it to cover your chest.
"It hurts here. I think it hurt when sleep.", you signed, trying your best to hold your shirt between your forearms and chest.
"We'll fix it. Try to relax, i told you i'm good with my hands.", Maya signed to you before applying some lotion on her hands. Your breathing got a little heavier as she walked behind you.
Her hands were indeed skilled of course. She placed them on your shoulders and started applying pressure there, her thumbs rubbing circles on your flesh. You closed your eyes and let yourself lean into her touch.
After a while, Maya tapped on your shoulder. "Your muscles are tight. This might be due to stress.", she told you. "S-T-R-E-S-S", she spelled to you.
"Oh, makes sense. I have hard week work.", you told her.
While Maya pressed the knots on your shoulders, you hummed, too focused on the feeling of her warm hands.
She tapped your shoulder again, lighter this time. "Are you speaking? I can feel your throat. Is it too much?", she asked.
"no, it's fine. I like it", you signed, sticking to simple replies.
Maya touched the back of your neck with one hand, her thumb massaging one side as her other fingers massaged the other side, like a claw. A very skilled claw that was making you lose yourself in a pool of relaxation, even though there was that soft stretchy pain.
Maya tapped lightly on your chin this time, waking you up from the transe. "Do you know what makes everything better?", she asked, kneeling in front of you, her eyes on you the whole time.
"what?", you asked, ever so eloquently.
"Kisses.", she signed slowly. "Kisses heal everything.", she told you and you stopped breathing  when the tip of her nose slowly touched yours.
Maya gave you the space and time to move away if you'd like. She kissed the tip of your nose and walked back to her spot behind you.
You felt her lips on your nape and a small moan escaped you. Maya left open mouthed kisses on the side of your neck and up to your jaw, one of her hands  held your chin up and the other was stuck to your shoulder.  You held the urge to moan louder and closed your legs a little tighter, the pressure slowly building up in your belly. Since when were you that sensitive?
She kept kissing her way to the corner of your mouth, where she stopped. You held your breath and waited for a kiss full on the lips, but that never came.
You opened your eyes and saw her getting her stuff back on her backpack, cleaning her hands on that small towel again like nothing had happened. Your brain took a whole minute to process it all and registered that the pain in your neck had indeed got better.
You waved your hands, trying to catch her attention. "I think my legs hurt too." you tried and the blush on your face was not unnoticed.
Maya walked back to you, kneeling in front of you again, her hands on your thighs now.  "I can take care of that too.", she signed, a playful smile on her lips.

Sipping on your lips, hanging on by thread
A/N: THIS IS SMUT! minors, do not interact! it will probably not make any difference in the storyline. Thank you for reading me. i'm putting the links for previous and later chapters. Maybe this will be the last one of this series.
A/N: i have mentioned i'm a comic book artist, right? writer and illustrator. Writing this series was very much fun, it helped me organizing some ideas for my upcoming projets. if i get the will to translate them, i'll share some here with you guys.
A/N: i usually come back to read what i posted and i find SO MANY grammar and spelling mistakes. I thought i was really great at English but i've been mistaking simple words because they sound similar in Portuguese (i'm brazilian) but they mean something totally different. And that's why i need more practice. I swear my mind works faster in my language.
tittle from I really like You, by Carly Rae Japsen

What started on the couch quickly went to the bedroom. Maya  teased you with the tip of her fingers, the shallow touch of her mouth all over you. She'd pay attention to your body language, getting to learn all the signs you'd give. She loved to feel your throat vibrating as you moaned out loud.
Her kisses weren't that soft anymore. Her tongue felt wonderful, your lips wrapped around it. It was hot and wet. All you wanted was to keep sucking on it.
Drunk in lust, Maya held you against the wall, her hands on your hips with strength, before unbuckling your belt with minimal patience.  You separated and she looked into your eyes. You shared a laugh. "How old are we? So horny.", she joked, taking you to bed a little less urgently.
You two sit on her bed and Maya took your shirt off, kissing your neck as you helped her out of her clothes too. In bed, she topped you first, massaging your breasts, driving her lips and tongue all the way to your nipples.
You grabbed her hair, enjoying the feeling of her wet lips around you. "That's it, baby. You're so good... fuck.", you'd murmur, making her stop and talk to you.
"You can scream as loud as you want, i like to feel it.  And we don't have neighbors close by anyway.", she signed, getting back to kissing and nibbling on your body.
You felt her lips kissing down all the way from your breasts to your thighs, her hands ever so intelligent in the ways to bring you pleasure. If there was a degree for knowing your body, Maya would be top of the class.
She kept kissing the inner of your thighs as her fingers made their way inside of you. So wet, so tight. You couldn't help but moan when her tongue played on your clit as her fingers went all the way in and out of you, building your very much desired orgasm. She felt the tight grip on her fingers, going up to kiss your lips and feel the vibrations of the moanings coming out of your mouth.
Maya watched your breathing slow down, your chest moving a little slower as she took her fingers out of you. She licked them and you couldn't wait much longer to kiss her, your tongue replacing her fingers.
You changed positions now, it was your turn to have your way with her.
Maya's preferences were quickly learned. She loved the feeling of your lips around her, tasting her, your tongue filling her. You knew what she liked and didn't like because you had experimented. You also knew when she wanted to tell you something and you went as far as making up a tap system as your safe words.   One tap, keep going. Two taps, be careful. Three taps, stop.
But there were times when One tap would be replaced by her gripping on your hair so strong you'd moan in a mix of pleasure and pain.
As the hours passed you barely left Maya's bed. Make up sex has it's spell ad you were in love with her. She knew it and, more than that, she enjoyed it.
Though Maya wouldn't admit it, she was in love with you too. With her back against the bedframe she held the blanket covering her breasts, her messy hair going in all directions. "Thank you", she started, a smile growing on her lips.
"For what?", you asked, making her shrug. "For the mind blowing sex.", she laughed, kissing you before you could reply.
"For coming after me.", she offered and straddled you. "For sticking around.", she continued, kissing you tenderly on the lips. "And for the orgasms.", she laughed again.

Though Maya had told you to leave by the morning without breakfast, you were adamant about cooking her something.
"Why are you so stuborn?", she signed while you fried some eggs and bacon, the smell of fresh coffee spreading through the small kitchen of her childhood house.
You looked at her all heart eyes, like she put the stars on the sky, and that was clearly bothering her. You filled her a plate and smiled lovingly.
"Stop looking at me like that.", she frowned at you.
You noticed Maya was in a very bad mood, which didnt make much sense to you. She had kissed you last night, cuddled you on your sleep and left a kiss to your neck before getting up this morning. Not even an hour later, here she is. Staring daggers at you.
"What's wrong?", you asked but Maya just looked away. You walked closer, standing in front of her as she avvoided your eyes.
You tapped her nose with your index finger, getting her attention and making her face you. "Look at me?", you asked.
Maya kept staring at you, waiting for you to say whatever you wanted to. "Look, if we play our cards right, everything will turn out well." , you tried to convince her.
"This is not a game. And I'm not a prize.", she told you, arching an eyebrown.  Was she talking about Fisk offering money to whoever found her?
You rolled your eyes. Who was being stubborn now?
"You're not a prize, Maya. You're..." you started but paused. You kept looking at her, deep in thought.
"What?", she asked.
"I forgot the sign for that.", you tried.
Maya huffed.
- - -
At noon, it started to rain. You made sure to close the windows before going up to Maya. She was standing against the back of the couch, watching the rain fall down on the outside of the house.
"This is perfect.", you told her. The rain falling and the smell of wet grass embracing your nostrils made you a little clingy.
Maya looked at you, a strange look adorning her bautiful face. She seemed sad.
Right there and then, you were sure she was gonna simply tell you to forget about her, to move on and leave Tamaha. You thought she'd tell you that she didn't like you anymore, tell you to leave her alone and go back to New York.
Then you'd go right away, walking in the pouring rain and crying your heart out. And it'd be like a sad romance movie.
But she did the oposite of that.
Maya tugged at the hem of your shirt, pulling you to be in front of her, and brought you closer, hiding her face on your neck. She inhaled your scent and you remembered why you hadn't change your perfume in such a long time.
It was something you thought would work when you started flirting. Picking a smell that'd make her think of you whenever she smelled it. That's why you walk around with tangerine essential oil on your clothes and inside the necklace you're always wearing.
- - -
When you first met Maya she always kept a serious face. As you became close, she'd show you a softer side and you'd take the opportunity to actually learn more about her.
You had met many versions of Maya and you loved all of them, though you'd seek a few of them more often than the others.
Fierce Maya was one of your favorites. She'd keep her chin up, lips sealed and a perfect eyebrown arched, looking into your eyes like she could make your soul bend to her own desire.
Funny Maya was all sarcasm and light teasing. She'd smile wild watching you trying to understand a joke she just told. She'd playfully bump your shoulder with her own and she'd even wink at you while at work.
You loved all versions of her, but right now you'd love to have Sexual Maya. The one with wet kisses and a dirty mind, the one that'd make you scream filthy words in three different languages while making you go over the moon.
Maya was a sweet lover but she did have her moments of pure desire. "It's just sex, this is not a relationship", she had told you when you first started your thing.
At that time you only understood the word "sex" and "relationship".
- - -
" i missed you too.", she started. "But it wasn't fair to bring you into all of it. I wanted to keep you safe.", she explained.
You heart grew ten times. Maya telling you she cared for you made you believe things could work out again. Screw Kingpin and New York, you could restart in Tamaha. You'd restart in a small iglu in Alaska,  dressed as a polar bear, if she'd have you.
"I want you.', Maya signed, bringing you to reality, her eyes full of something you were yet to understand. "All of you.", she continued before claiming your lips with her own, taking your breath away.

Every breath you take. Every move you make
A/N: I'm trying to organize it. I'm enjoying it so far and  I must practice my writing. I'm a comic book artist (writer and illustrator), and i'm slowly getting back on using Tumblr and writing fanfiction, english is not my first language. Feedback is welcome and THANK YOU so much for reading me <3
i think this would be between Bodyguard and We fight and breakup, We kiss and make up. it's a bit complicated to insert Reader on the episodes, sorry if it's a little messy. I prefer it much more whe we have more dialogues.
if you havent noticed, i love taking the titles from songs. This here is Every Breath you Take, by The Police.
pairing: maya lopez x reader AFAB reader
-
Arriving at Tamaha was the easy part. All you needed was a map and follow the track you put on Maya's prosthetic leg. You took the risk of her changing it, getting another. But you thought it'd be easy for her to steal another motorbike, or get a new phone than getting a prosthetic leg that fit her just right. Though you thought you could just put it on her favorite boots, you'd still pick the prosthetic leg. Something she couldn't just get rid of in a second.
As you drove an old Honda you'd keep yourself distant, the last thing you'd want now would be for Maya to find out you were following her. The only reason you knew about Tamaha at all was because she had told you before, when you were closer and she hadn't tried to kill Fisk yet. Before she broke your heart by running away without saying goodbye.
- - -
Watching Maya from afar was not difficult for you, as a Black Widow, you knew how to become invisible. But it hurt to see her so close yet so far from what you once had. You held yourself back as you watched stupid Vickie and those girls kidnap her, your blood boiling in your veins. But you knew better than to stop them at it,  curious at what the hell they were trying to do.
As you followed Maya's steps for the past few days, you took notes of your date ideas. "Her uncle owns a skating park!", you said
to yourself, way too excited for the possibility of skating with Maya, holding her hand at the sound of Love is in the Air by John Paul Young. Your fantasy came to an end when you saw Boonie being taken. You couldn't help a smile though. "Not like I wanted to meet you. But we have a girl's night some day, yeah?', you thought.
Temptation ate your insides. You wanted to help Maya, to give her some support and beat Vicky until he begged you to stop and apologized to your Maya. But you couldn't risk much more than you had already. If leaving New York wasn't an indication your relationship was on the line, taking her as a princess and fighting her dragons would set fire to it all.
You kept tracking Maya on your phone, watching her wander around the room through your phone screen. When Zane arrived with his gang you couldn't help but rolling your eyes at him. You hated him, he seemed to think too high of himself and you didn't like the way he chewed on toothpicks, stinking like testosterone.
You took the time to enter the place and watch Maya from a tiny bit closer. You understood Vickies plan and it didn't take a genius to put two and two: he wouldn't get out of it alive. Stupid Vickie.
Zane's group filled the skating area, talking to Henry and Boonie. When Vickie got shot you rolled your eyes again. "Such a mess", you thought. "Where is Maya Lopez?", stupid Zane asked and Dragula by Rob Zombie screamed from the sound system all of a sudden.
You had to hold yourself not to cheer aloud, trying to keep softly headbanging your head through the music. You loved that song, Maya knew.
You started wondering if she chose that one because she knew you liked it and it made her think of you. Were you being delusional? Also, wasn't it too loud?
Oh, right. It doesn't bother her.
You got in the laser tag maze enjoying the music,  taking a few man down cautiously so that Maya wouldn't find out you were there. You wore a mask in case one of them recognized you decided to tell on you, if they survived. You caugth her kicking their asses by the corner of your eye and almost ran to her, to tell her how great she looked while fighting, how you missed her and how much of a wimp you were for her. But that'd ruin your plans and instead of a heart-eyes Maya, you'd get broken ribs or a broken heart. Again.
The fight was getting fun but they seemed like ants around a sugarcane, always coming for more. Maya threw herself and one of those man through the wall and you felt the urge to kiss her. She fought all of them, with guns first and the with her own wrists. It made you gawk at her, your heart beating faster. You were flustered. She used the pistol wires as a whip and you moaned in your mind. "That's kinda sexy.", you thought, taking a mental note of how much of Catwoman she resembled. You'd tell her later.
The jacket trick got you biting your lip, and you almost aplaused her flawless aim.
But then Zane brought Boonie and you grunted. "Asswhole.", you mumbled.
They gathered again, around Maya and Henry, guns on their heads. But you were ready too. With your gun in hand and your eyes on them, it'd take Zane down with a buttlet to the head in no time.
But his phone rang and his plans changed. And so did yours.
You watched Boonie leave and had to stop yourself from offering some ice to put on her face. Poor girl, getting punched like that for free.  When Maya went back inside, you made up your mind about what to do next. After tonight's events, you had to talk to her.

We fight and break up, we kiss and make up
A/N: i need more maya lopez x reader.  Saw someone saying they'd go a far as writing some themselves and i thought the same. Also, i'm a sucker for her fighting. And i really wish i'd come up with better titles, i'm usually good at it.
tittle from Hot n Cold by Katy Perry
pairing: Maya Lopez x Reader prompt: "there is only one bed" summary: Kingpin sent you to follow Maya until Tamaha.
-
Maya felt something was off. She spent the whole day feeling like someone was watching her but couldn't find any observers, thinking it could be a little bit of paranoid.
She went out for a walk by the lake and felt the soft breeze on her skin, closing her eyes for a minute or two. Her calm was interrupted by that sensation again, like someone was staring holes to her nape.
Maya turned around but saw nothing suspicious, only the wind stroking the trees. She turned back on track and was startled to see you, your nose just a few inches from hers. She took a step back. "What the hell!", she signed. "What the fuck are you doing here?", her expression was a mix of rage and frustration, you couldn't decide.
It all started too quickly. You found yourself throwing punches at each other, as far as you almost falling on the river. Maya kicked your ribs and pushed you on a tree, making you wince in pain.  You jumped on her, your legs too fast for her to follow and you kept going like you were dancing all around each other, not really trying to hurt each other anymore, just contain the rage on both of you.
But then she held your leg up after you tried to kick her sides and threw on the ground again. You laid there, eyes closed while catching your breath.
Maya made a face at you and left, walking to the house. You followed her and grabbed her wrist.  "I'm here to take you home, Maya! Fisk sent me.", you explained like it wasn't obvious.
Fisk knew the effect you had on Maya, she had a sweet tooth for you. If there was anyone who could make her do anything just by asking nicely, that'd be you. That's why she hadn't said goodbye when she left New York, she knew if you had asked her to stay she'd consider it.
You stood there just looking at her for a moment, taking in her image. "I'm not gonna ask you to come back. I just wanted to see if you're okay.", you told her.
Maya seemed to contemplate. She liked you, that much was true, but she didn't know on which side you'd stand and, before she could ask, you claryfied.
"I'm with you, Maya. Always.", you were sincere, she knew.
Maya took you to her house as if she didn't know you had already looked the place over. "We're not gonna play a cat and mouse game.", she signed. "You stay the night and leave by morning, no breakfast included.".
You sighed heavily but agreed, confident you could convince her to at least have a meal with you, to chat and maybe something more.
- - -
"There's only one bed.", Maya calmly signed to you, arching an eyebrow when you threw yourself on her bed. You looked around, then faced her. "Where will you sleep?", you joked.
"Funny.", she replied, getting herself ready to wash and brush her teeth.
Maya watched you walk around the bedroom, gathering your toothbrush and a pair of clothes. She had gone through her night routine herself and was ready to take some well deserved rest, but you were not sleepy and that'd be a problem.
You left the toilet wearing shorts and a clean oversized Pantera shirt, feeling her eyes on you as Maya followed your moves. You stretched your arms above your head and settled right next to her in bed, facing her with a dreamy smile.
"This is not a honeymoon.", Maya told you, but you just smiled wilder.
"Understand?", she insisted, facing away from you for a second before turning back and laying her head on the same pillow, her eyes on you again as if she tried to read your mind.
"I missed you.", you signed. "I wanted to text you but i was hurt that you left.", you explained, your heart on your sleeve as usual, but just for her.
Maya waited until you finished. "I won't apologize. I did what i had to", she told you.
"Of course.", you finished.
- - -
The cold air entered the bedroom through the opened window. You tossed in the sheets, realizing you were totally uncovered.
You looked around just to see Maya very well asleep, the blanket all around her like a burrito, her back facing you. You rolled your eyes before hugging her from behind, tapping on her shoulder and humming your lips to her nape. That was almost an inside joke of you two, a code for "cuddle me".
She woke up but moved just enough for you to have a piece of the blanket too. You took your chance to hug her again, feeling the warmth of her skin. Your hand stopped by her hips and she turned around, looking into your eyes for the hundredth time now.
Maya kissed you on the lips. Softly. She tossed a bit and hugged you, her head under your chin. She kissed your throat and you smiled, your arms around her and your legs tangled.
You fell asleep planning to surprise her with some eggs and bacon by the morning.

Bodyguard
i'm thinking about stating a series, but i've been thinking about SO MUCH stuff. also, i'm relearning how to use Tumblr.
Last night i had a dream, a woman telling me to write, but she didn't tell me WHAT to write.
-
-
maya lopez x reader
summary: Kingpin hires you to be Maya's bodyguard
--
"A bodyguard?", Maya signs too fast in hopes to dismiss Fisk's order while it's fresh . She doesn't understand why she needs someone to protect her.
"i can take care of myself, uncle.", she insists, but Fisk gives her minimal attention.
"I need you to lay low. We can't get any attention for now.", Kazi translated. He was not entirely happy with the situation.
-
You arrived at the gym ready to show off your abilities. They said you had to be a good fighter, observant and easy to mingle around. Knowing ASL would be a plus so you studied a few sentences and the letters.
As you got your muscles stretched, warming up your arms and legs, a few guys arrived. You recognized the Tracksuit mafia for their clothes and hid a laugh. It was funny how they seemed more like characters from a 90's TV show than to criminals.
"Y/N", Kazi called you, he was the one who suggested your name for the job. "This is Maya.", he said as he signed, introducing you to the woman beside him. Before he could continue, Maya interrupted him.
"Do you know her?", she asked him, eyes not leaving you.
"We're friends.", he replied.
You kept a straight face, somehow trying to show that you had control over your emotions and were a good pick for the job.
Maya and Kazi exchanged looks.
-
You went up the ring to start the "physical test", as Kazi called. A group of man lined up, ready to attack you and you understood the task in hand. It didn't take long for the first one to kiss the mat.
One by one they ran up to you, violently trying to put you down. One of them went as far as talking to you. "Nice shoes, princess. Wanna dance?", he mocked your bright orange sneakers before lifting you up. Terrible mistake.
Maya watched with thick interest as you put all her man down. Aggressively, violently, though your expression barely changed from a smile to a grin. You were having way too much fun.
"She was a Black Widow.", Kazi explained.
Maya got up from her seat and went up to the mat. She took her leather jacket and signed to you. You didn't understand it all but you did recognize the word "dinner".
Though you tried, Maya was way too talented. Her kicks were too strong and her aim was flawless. You hit the mat after a few minutes, your nose bleeding.
"Enough.", Kazi followed her orders. "Congrats, you got the job.", he threw you a towel.
After getting cleaned up and socializing a little, you left the gym and met Maya at the parking lot, close to her own motorbike. She handed you a helmet.
"When you said you got a job interview, i didn't think it was to be my bodyguard.", Maya hit your arm.
"I wanted to surprise you.', you replied, winking at her.
Maya rolled her eyes. "As if we didn't spend a lot of time together anyway.", she pulled you by the hem of your jacket, your noses touching. "Sorry for the nose.", she apologised.
"You can always kiss me better.", you signed, wiggling your eyebrows.
You two stayed in your litte bubble for a moment before Maya tapped your shoulder. "Let's go. You own me dinner.", she set her attire.
"Oh, that's what you said.", you finally understood.

Maya's worst student
English is not my first language,  sorry for mistakes. I'm SLOWLY getting back to writing fanfiction.
Female reader, but i think i didn't mention pronouns. It's kinda of an AU
-
summary: You're Maya's worst student.
-
When you decided to learn ASL you thought an online dictionary would be enough. But as you got more into it, you realized that nothing is better than having someone to practice with you. Just as any other language, having a practice partner was way better than just repeating the signs along the lady on the screen of your computer.
You looked for a local partner, someone who lived close to you so you could go out and practice daily vocabulary. The website suggested a nearby professor and you contacted her, finding out she was a cousin of a friend of yours.
"Maya Lopez", you practiced her name in signs, not wanting to embarrass yourself when you first met. Her profile showed a short video of her introducing herself and welcoming the new students.
Maya was a kick boxing fighter. She was born deaf and worked with her cousin fixing cars and motorbikes. She liked opened spaces and ice cream, and her favorite color was red.
You could learn all that information from her video.
-
The first meeting was for introduction and practicing the alphabet. You learned her sign and she came up with one for youseslf, as you slowly bonded. A month later, you noticed your vocabulary growing but it was still very limited. Even with a tutor and the online dictionary, you felt like you still had difficulties in learning.
You and Maya became friends and your teacher-student relationship was mostly put aside. She'd take you for sweets, teaching you the signs to order her favorites, and you'd show her more about yourself, asking how to sign for this and that.
It was easy to have her around and you enjoyed each other's presence a little too much. You caught yourself thinking about her, planning small dates with her with the excuse of them being extra classes.
"I think I'll ask her out. Like, on a date.", you mentioned to Biscuits, her cousin and your friend, making him smile wildly. "That'd be nice.", he encouraged. "She'd liked that.", he said.
Biscuits was known for giving out too much information without being asked to. He was just that naive. His little confirmation made your heart jump on its cage. You let his words sink into you and gave it deep thought, postponing your meetings with Maya as you debated how to approach her, not noticing it actually put some distance between you two.
- - -
Maya sit on the outside of her favorite bakery, playing with a croissant on her plate. You were supposed to meet her one hour ago. At first she thought you were just late, but now it seemed like you were not coming at all.
She tried texting you, getting no reply. When she was about to put her phone back in her pocket, ready to leave, you arrived approaching her table in a rush.
She looked at you with a serious expression, crossing her arms in front of her, waiting for you to explain why you were so late and hadn't texted her.
You noticed she was upset and felt guilty. You could have texted her before but you were too busy learning the signs to confess, but now you were so nervous it seemed like you forgot even the letters of your own name.
Maya realized you were not gonna speak so she took the lead. She was tired of fooling around.
"I can't be your teacher anymore. I fell in love with you, this is not professional.", she signed, an unbothered expression on her face. As if she was not opening her heart to you.
You looked at her with lots of concentration, but could only understand a few signs. At times like this, you realized you really needed more practice.
"I know we became friends and i like what we have. But this can't continue.", she went on, still standing by the table. "Whenever we meet, i want to hold you. When we're together i want to be close to you, to feel you. It's okay if you don't feel the same, i just really wanted you to know.", she placed her hands on her pockets, trying to be patient and give you time. it didn't last long.
"Say something!", she pushed, irritated that you were just staring at her this whole time.
"I don't understand.", you signed slowly, disappointed at your own lack of vocabulary.
Maya huffed. She signed to you again but it made no difference. "I don't understand. Sorry.", you repeated. She grew more impatient.
"Download a dictionary and go study more. You sign like shit", she signed, scolding you for being her worst student.
"That i understand.", you replied, your hands moving a bit faster for the signs you were more familiar with.
Maya looked at you and took a deep breath. Again. "You're silly. And beautiful. It feels nice to be around you, i have a lot of fun when we hang out. But we can't be friends.", she finished.
You looked at her confused. "We can't be friends? Why?", you asked, sadness adorning your face.
"I don't want to be your friend. I want to kiss you.", she signed and waited for you to reply, expectation boiling in her insides.
But you only stared at her confused. "I don't understand."
Maya lost her temper. It was infuriating how she was trying to confess and you were clearly not studying half of what you should. She took you by the collar and kissed you full on the mouth, feeling your lips vibrate as you hummed in surprise.
"You understand that?', she signed exasperatedly, waiting for you to finally say something.
"I don't understand.", you started. Maya was ready to throw you inside the bakkery through the window but you continued.
"If you kiss me again maybe i understand better.", you signed in reply and her annoyance slowly faded.

Not like we have a date with destiny
You met Layla online and her visits to your store became more regular.
---
A/N:
it's been YEARS i don't post anything, just silently reading fanficion around. Gotta relearn how to use Tumblr again. I waited one year to watch Moonknight, always wait for the hype to pass because i know i get hyped too and my poor mind can't really take that. I absolutely loved Layla, that's a fact.
as usual, i'm just trying to exercise my english writing skills. I feel like this was a part of a bigger piece but I can't really develop much. Thank you for reading though. Life's been a bit difficult at times. Lots of anxiety and fear of the future. I wanted to get something light.
i'm starting a series, that's why Sersi is mentioned.
my AO3 link if you'd like to see.
-
You met Layla online. She sent a message to the store you worked at looking for a specific book. You attended her on the phone and she went to the bookstore shortly after, paying in cash.
"You're a lifesaver.", she thanked you.
Soon, her visits to the store became more regular. Layla would take her time to read the back of the covers or arrive with a specific request. You became friends over illustrated books though, specially the ones about ancient culture. You told her about your beliefs and about your own culture, finding it amazing when she shared her own story. There was no denying you had a great connection.
"We should go out for drinks.", Layla invited you. "We only meet when you're working or when I need something work related." she'd insist.
It was true. You had never met in other circumstances and knew very little about each other outside duty, except a few things you could notice by yourself. Layla was an interesting woman, she was gentle and polite. Maybe not very social but very friendly anyway. It wasn't hard to slowly fall for her but of course you decided to keep a safe distance. If she didn't like you like that by any chance, you were not up to spoil the friendship you were developing.
"Let's do it tonight then? It's Friday, tomorrow's my Saturday off", you agreed. Was it too soon?
Layla seemed to think for a moment. Almost like she didn't believe it had been so easy. All she had to do was ask. Simple like that. "Okay.", a smile ghosted her lips and she shook her head, as if getting rid of intrusive thoughts. "It's gonna be fun."
Around 6:30pm, when you had closed the store, Layla appeared by the door. She was supposed to text you her location and you'd meet here but she had other plans. "I thought it'd be nice for us to walk there, it's not far from here.", she explained.
Layla was uncaractheristicaly nervous. She was watching her feet as you walked to the bar and you could sense the thick atmosphere. Was she nervous?
"So, i think we could grab something to eat first.", She finally looked at you. "You know, so that we won't get drunk too fast."
You agreed, as easy as it sounds, and suggested a small cantina you liked. You had some pizza and decided to just try their wine, not wanting to leave the cozy place. You drank and ate and talked for hours, leaving only because the owner came talking to you saying it was time for them to close.
Layla walked you home, the cold air sobering you up way too fast. Your night couldn't end better, though you thought that maybe it could. If Layla kissed you goodnight.
You stood by your doorway and bent goodbye and Layla kissed your cheek when you hugged. It happened a few time after that. You went out for drinks or food, hanging out together for log walks, cultural programs and sometimes to watch movies at each other's place.
You were talking about your romantic life when you mentioned the last mess you got involved in. "She was nice and all. Really. We'd go to the museu, to natural parks. We had fun together, i thought we were fine. But then her ex came along and she just disappeared.", you told her, realizing that it didn't really hurt anymore.
Layla listened to you, giving the attention you deserved. There was a hint of something in her eyes and she smiled. "Just like we do? You seem to have a type.", she said, playfull.
You chocked on your drink.
Layla laughed at your antics and gave you a napkin. She kept looking at you, a smile never leaving her face. "I mean, you said she was a Historian, that she worked with museology, and i'm an archeologist. We both like going out for drinks and trying new food, we're both into ancient culture...", she explained.
Your jaw dropped, you were speechless. Layla looked into your eyes and took a big gulp of her wine before dropping the bomb. "We both have a close relationship with our exes, she told you. "I mean, i just got divorced.", her eyes inspected you for the smallest of reactions.
You felt your heart falling on the floor. If she had just gotten a divorce it meant she probably wasn't ready for any romantic bullshit. Part of you was okay with that, because you liked her a lot and were willing to accept what she had to give you. Another aspect she had in common with Sersi.
The other part of you was catching the bitter taste of rejection.
Layla was waiting for you to say something, you knew that. But there were no words for you to use. She seemed to understand the hint and started talking again. "We are friends though. Kinda.", she cleaned her throat. "We work together sometimes.", she explained and noticed you were still silent, which made Layla start to panic. Was it the wrong time? The wrong words?
She took a deep breath. "I don't know where this is going but i'd love for it to continue.", she smiled, almost shy at herself. You nodded and approached her side of the couch way too slowly , kissing the tip of her nose.
Layla relaxed and smiled larger. She placed her hands on your cheeks before kissing you on the lips.

When Supergirl is so tired she sleeps in costume <3
it’s been a while i don’t post a fanart ( nor anything actually) cuz i’ve felt a little down. Also, For the Girl who has Everything was such an episode. My feels... though there were some things i didn’t like, it was a good episode. Full of kalex moments.
Now i’m wondering how things are going to continue, cuz the end of episode felt life series finale. Will Kara get over her crush on James Olsen? Will she ever know that it was Alex who killed Astra? The crossover with The Flash will be actually good? Let’s see, let’s see.
for you, @chokingthecherry , like a supporting mesage, but a drawing of one of your ships <3
